"You... cannot believe..." The words sunk in... she moved away from him rapidly, turning as if to leave. She bit her tongue, holding back the tears. She couldn't... she couldn't cry, not here, not ever, not for any but her lost dam and brother. She had vowed that.
But just that simple understanding, those little words... Those cut her... deeper, almost, than that. How could he not get that? It was just... Damn. Damn damn damn damn damn. A line from somewhere sprang to her mind... Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned...
Eyes still moist, she felt those hot emotions rising in her. How could he possibly be so irrevocably stupid? "You cannot believe..." she repeated, the wrath growing bigger by the minute. "Then you will not know!" Her scream almost scared her, just with its brute power. Calypso moved rather quickly towards the stallion, and she reared and let her ivory-tinted hooves fly. She didn't really care about what the King's retribution would be at this point. She wheeled around and kicked again, this time with her hinds. The momentum carried her forward, and she considered just continuing away. But she stopped, her head down.

Mares and their...emotions...are not to be trusted. They are deadly sirens playing on your heart-strings like they were strumming a lovestruck tune upon beautiful harps and singing with lovely voices in tune with it a song of lethal poison. A stallion listening to these toxins have his ears betraying him, intoxicating his entire body with his own lies until he is immobilized, doomed, and vulnerable for the witch to devour. How can he, as smart as he is, allow himself to be fooled by the costume of an enemy in his own land? And the waterworks, trickling down her cheeks like tears, are just another part of her trickery that he is not falling for.
And, just as he suspected, she strikes out at him with punching fore flints, the sharp blades slicing the air where his face had been a moment before he had backed away. He snorts, smoke curling from his nostrils as he glares murderously in the fae’s direction, his own rage starting like a fire in his chest and building inside like a bubbling volcano ready to explode. But he hadn’t been paying attention, the king’s mind slipping from him momentarily, and her hinds hit home, landing hard upon his shoulder like a shot from a double barrel shot gun.
The brute tries not to grunt at the impact, the noise strangled in his throat but his shoulder throbs mercilessly, and there is the tingle of welling blood and the tickle of it seeping down his pelt in tiny rivulets that remind him that the wound is there. Joker can’t contain the angry snarl that bursts from his maw as he trots past her side, nipping her as he goes but the reprimand not lingering long enough to do any damage. “I am not stupid, wench,” he growls, turning his head to look over his bleeding shoulder to glare, “and I won’t fall for your siren’s song so I can have my head smashed while I sleep.”
Females, of any sort, are incapable of true love, the kind that some claim to have for one and receive back. There is only the greed and lust for power that drives them to flutter their long eyelashes and cuddle against a victim lover and confess, supposedly heartfelt, declarations of undying love and devotion. That is the only kind of love Joker has ever seen or been able to touch and have, and he guesses that he will never have anything else. There is only lust and physical satisfaction for him and he has himself convinced that that is all there is. ~Joker
(OOC: If you still wanna do this thing. Calypso will have to convince him. >.> He thinks she is just trying to use him.)

She really hadn't expected her hooves to connect, and she felt all the worse for the blood marring his hide. Had she really done that? It looked horrible...
The blue roan's anger had completely died, and she flinched away from Joker's bite. The tears welled up again, and she let them fall, a sob shuddering up from her lungs. His words burn her, causing another strangled cry to force its way out. Twisted up and then tossed aside. She had been willing to follow him anywhere he might lead, just simply trusting in his word, that he wouldn't purposely hurt her. She had thought. Calypso had loved him... and she wasn't sure that the feeling could die.
But... she could. If he really didn't care... would it matter that much if she lived? Without much realizing it, she voiced it. "Then... you wouldn't care if I died?" The tears had subsided for the moment, replaced by a terrible despair. She stayed where she was, planting all four feet to prevent her from moving after him, caring for the wound she herself had inflicted.
((OoC: And, for once, she isn't trying to use somebody >.< Any hints on how to go about convincing?))

Mares...so damn dramatic and emotional all the time. He turns his head and glares in her direction, muttering about how the question is such a stupid one. Afterall, if she were to die then he would be one less number in his herd; that's one way to look at it. But she is talking about some other thing and he is just not sure his heart believes her. It would be foolish to believe such a nonsensical (sp? even a word?) notion such as love. "Why so dramatic, mare? All this just to pull the wool over my eyes?" Really, does it make sense for her to be putting up such an effort to impress upon him her lies when she can see right away that he is not falling for it? There is no reason in putting forth this kind of effort.
He sighs, a grunt mixed in as he turns his head away and closes his eyes. Not all of him is bad, at least he would like to think so, but he tries to use his head over feelings since they often get one in trouble. Thusly emotion has been buried beneath sense and reason, a burning ember but covered in the ashes of its fallen predecessors. "The mind denies, the heart accepts. Stupid, silly words," he mutters under his breath; something his mother had once told him while he was in his rebellious youth. ~Joker
(OOC: No...stinking idea. lol I guess we can just go with the flow. ^_^ Sorry this post stinks...just trying to catch up.)
