The violet stag trots into the outer stretches of his kingdom, black fae in tow, and slows to an easy plod as his footing finds snow, each step making a quiet squeaking crunch as the powder is pressed down against the frozen earth. Joker turns his head to look over his shoulder at Evanessence, watching her carefully for a moment before speaking, his breath misting in front of his face. “Watch your step lest you find an ice patch.” Yes, he knows that from experience; all four hooves went out from under him and he looked like a complete fool in front of a new fem he been bringing into the territory. He won’t repeat the same mistake twice, he assures himself.
Joker looks up as a couple lazy snowflakes drift down from the sky, the first of what might turn into a snow shower judging by the sky above them. Around him a light new blanket of white had been deposited while he was gone, laying upon the musical limbs of the crystal forest and melting from the warm purple crystals growing from the earth. He brings Evanessence a little further into the territory before half turning to address her a second time. “So, what do you think? As I described it?”
’You got her where you want her! Now just don’t let her leave!’ Prank is practically bouncing around in his head, doing a dance around Predator’s voice as the sadist being utters darkly after him. ’If she does try to run, though, it could be fun. It would give you a reason to bite her...blood is nice. Joker shakes his head to try to clear his head of the thoughts trying to press their opinions upon him. ’I’m no slave...be quiet...’.

[E]vanescence followed closely behind Joker, as he lead her to his terra. She was silent as she walked, yet slightly excited about being here. She couldn't wait to see what she would find her. She remained as silent as she could, her steps quick, light, and silent. She trudge threw the snow, staying on top of it, rather then crushing straight down, and was able to avoid tripping, suddenly Joker turned to her, stating her to watch out for ice. She smiled, and replied calmly, "I thank you for your concern, Joker. But I think I'll be fine." She didn't say it rudely, or try to prove him wrong. She merely has lived in worse places. Colder, icier places. She smiled slightly at the memory of her old home, and yearned to retreat back to it. But to late now.
[J]oker lead her further into his terra, and Evanescence wondered if he would make her stay here, once they got to be were they were heading. She didn't know. But at the moment, she was to caught up in the beauty around her to really care. She smiled with delight at the nature around her, and quickened her steps, realizing she was falling behind some. Once caught up, her steps slowed to there normal rythem again, just in time for Joker to stop, and say something more to her. So what do you think? As I described it? Evanescence permited herself another look around before turning her attention back to Joker. Her dark chocolate eyes were lit from within with amazement, and her words were quick, and excited, "Oh Joker! It is amazing here! Unbelievable! You are lucky to have such a home." Her eyes shone bright, and her tone spoke of the honesty in her rash words. She blushed then, realizing just what she had said, and how odd it had sounded. She smiled shyly, "I apologize, I shouldn't have spoken so freely." She said immediantly.

Oddly enough, Joker feels well enough in character that her 'outburst' of 'freely speaking' realy didn't bother him. He turns his gaze over the landscape one more time as he shrugs his strong shoulders in an immeidate response. Her enthusiasm is flattering anyway. It is nice to have someone actually compliment his lands inside of downing it as some icy wasteland or barren block of ice. No, here is someone who really appreciates his choice of a territory, a mare with an open mind, really, and good tastes in scenery. He snorts in agreement with himself and looks back at Evanessence. "I wasn't offended," he comments shortly.
Slowly he starts forward into the crystal forest, pretending to ignore the visitor as he circles a particular tree and looking up at the snow littered upon its branches while some drops upon his back. He can already feel it melting upon his warmth and the small droplets tickle on their way down his sides so that his pelt twitches at the sensation, ears flicking curiously. He stops and leans on the crystallized trunk, resting as he cocks one foot in a relaxed pose. "If you like it so much...you should stay. You could enjoy the terra every day."
He sighs inwardly. What will he do if she refuses? He'll have to make her stay. She's already here, he doesn't want to go and chase her all over creation to get her back. Besides, he already has to babysit two mares and worry about them wandering off without permission; he doesn't want another one. However, in his eyes he sees her as already his. Joker saw her (sort of), approached her, conversed with her and tempted her to his terra. He did all that work and he might as well have the paycheck (whether he has to steal it from the boss or not).

light smile crossed her face, and she spoke carefully, taking care of each word, thinking it all threw, "Your lands are beautiful, and you are kind Joker. It reminds me so much of my home. And I love how it seems so much like a winter wonderland." She paused then continued again, "I would very much like to stay. If it truly is alright with you... and your lead vixen." She added the last part, knowing that the lead mare likes to have a say in things too. She smiled at Joker, a shy smile, and said nothing more.

‘Kind?’ Oh boy, he hopes this doesn’t effect anything too dearly important; he has a reputation to uphold and he’s not sure ‘kind’ really suits his image. But for now, if it has gotten him what he wants. He smiles as she goes on about his land and her like of it, her desire to stay following after that. A smirk pulls at one corner of his maw and he stands back on all fours, taking several steps towards the mare. “My lead vixen? I’m not unduly worried about what my queen thinks of your inhabiting my land. After all, I’m the King, am I not?”
He circles her, not really expecting or wanting an answer back from Evanessence but allowing it to sink in before he continues. If she is going to stay here, she needs to be quite certain of who is going to be in charge. Revair may think herself uppity and the leader of things with a leash on her King, but Joker would have her know otherwise should she try to enforce her opinion and laws on him. “It would bring me great delight to see you everyday. You may stay.”

He returns the gesture of his skull, but not quite an elaborate dip as if his pride has a string upon his brow and tied to his tail, not allowing his posture to lower beyond a certain point. He comes around her front and gives her mane a light tug, not for nastiness sake but as more of a show of his approval. She, and her decisions, have very much pleased him thusfar and his mood is light and good (for once; it is a rare occurence as of late). "Then it is settled," he states, lifting his head up high once again before trotting deeper into the territory, stopping once and turning to call to her. He would show her where sustenance and covering could be found, since she is to stay.

[E]vanescence smiled as he lightly toged at her mane, a slight sign of approval. She nodded when he declared that it was all settled. As he began to trot further into his territory she watched him for a second before following him. She smiled when he stopped to call to her, making sure she was coming. Did he really enjoy her presence so much, he needed to be reasurred that she was there? She smirked secretly to herself, before falling into step with him, "My Glorious M'lord Joker, where are we going?" She asked, smiled at him, her eyes a lit. She liked her new stallion, he was kind to her, and he hadn't yet lost his temper with her. She wondered what he thought of her. But sadly, he had a mate... But she wouldn't let it bring her down. He was still kind. |

His ears twitch in different directions, one focusing upon Evanessence's voice and the other on a distant sound he can't recognize as of yet. He thought it might be Revair, he hasn't laid eyes on her in what seems like forever; it evokes feelings of both worry and irritation, though the latter is stronger than the former and digging at him like something rubbing beneath his pelt. For one who had wanted the position of power so badly, she certainly has not been around to bask in the glories of it; nor to attend to him or even accompany him (he'd settle for that). He snorts, sparks igniting on his breath followed whisps of smoke curl from his nares (which then cause him to sneeze).
He looks towards the mare, not seeming to notice his strange reaction or swift changes in mood at all as he address her. "I thought you would want to be shown around your home. Unless you do not desire my escorting you." He smirks, his paced unconsciously slowed to a walk as he dips his head under a low hanging branch that is in the way of his path. In the distance there is a faint trickle of water, a small but steady stream flowing beneath a layer of ice ahead of them. Joker looks at it out of the corner of his eye before pressing a cautious step upon the sheet, watching the stress fissures growing beneath greater and greater pressure until a wet crack is issued and his hoof breaks the surface.

[E]vanescence smiled, giggling. She looked at the stallion, and replied, "Hmm, a stallion such as yourself escorting me on my first tour of my new home... Now why would I ever care for a thing like that?" She teased, laughing. She nuzzled her kind politely, and walked with him. As he dipped his head to go beneath a tree, Evanescence did the same, to frightened to hit her head. How embarresed would that be. Suddenly their was a small stream, forzen by a thin layer of ice over the top. She halted, eyeing the stream suspisiousily. She watched as Joker took a cautious step forward, and saw the ice start to admit smallc ricks, till suddenly it broke, and his hoof was plunged into the water. She eyed him nervousily, but managed to keep her spot. She didn't want Joker to accidently fall into the water. She spoke softly, "I don't think that would hold an equine's weight." She told him. |

"That's a good thing," he states, though the meaning (why the heck would it be a good thing?) might be a little elusive for Evanessence. Though he could melt it with his fire should the water freeze over too solidly, if he werent' around to do so the fresh water supply would be cut off in the terra. That wouldn't do any good at all and the brute does not want to be tied to waiting around the stream. But he doesn't offer to explain (she could ask and he'd probably answer...but...) now he's too busy thinking about how he can get across the stream without getting his feet in the water.
He steps back, shaking the soaked fore as he goes before trotting forward and doing a short bound over the water. He lands solidly and spins around, watching the fae with him to see if she would follow.

[E]vanescence nodded slightly, as he stated it was a good thing. She wondered why it was a good thing, but said nothing. She watched him, as he seemed to figure out how to get threw the water. She would have thought it would just be easier to wade there but... She watched as he took a few steps back, then bound over the water. Once on the other side he turned and waited to see if she would follow.

Joker takes a side-step closer towards Evanessence, can feel the warmth radiating off her bodice as he calms the fiery heat burning inside his own soul. It feels good to be able to feel the life of another over his own once in awhile. He lowers his head, bending the thick arch to nibble and groom the mare's chest, adding in a sharper nip before lifting his head. "I'll take you to the best show in town, darling." He grins and points his nose towards the mountain. 'Real pretty from up there. You'll be able to see the whole kingdom from up there."

She tilted her head, her long foretresses fell down the side of her neck, covering one eye, as she regarded him, smiling. I'll take you to the best show in town, darling Real pretty from up there you'll be able to see the whole kingdom from up there.
[T]he ebony enchantress looked thoughtful, before her seductive lyrics left her maw, "Who am I to refuse an offer from such a noble beast as yourself. I'll be able to see the whole kingdom? The best show? Well, M'lord. Why are we still down here?" She purred to him, tugging at his mane, before trotting in the direction he had indecated. She stopped about a few yards away and waited for him to catch up and show her the way. [/blockquote] OCC://No problem.
