She nods, Thank you, and crouches down beside hare. She takes the first bite out of it, savoring the taste of the fresh blood in her mouth. She eats, quickly gobbling down the peices of meat in certain areas of the rabbit, though leaving some untouched. Finally, she stands, huger satiated for now. She looks up at the brute, to whom she has said nothing since she has first started eating. She motions with her head, giving him permission to eat the good amound of remains on the rabbit. Being the alpha, she gets to eat her fill or how much she wants to before the other ranks do. It is only the ranking system. If he is not satiated by the remains of the rabbit then he may hunt for himself, but he will not be rude about it. She turns to him when she believes he should be done. We shall continue. The river is this way. She moves forward, paws lightly skimming the ground. If he doesn't follow, then he can follow her scent... or get lost in the land. She doesn't even glance behind her as she draws close to the bank of the slightly frozen river. Raising up on her hind paws, she comes down on the thin layer of ice, breaking it easily. Her fronts paws land in the shallow parts of the river, and she quickly backs away. Not since the first time she has dared to try this, has she fallen in. She has learned to balence herself. Now, before the water freezes again, she quickly laps up some water. She turns to look at Youssarian, awaiting his next moves.

Youssarian ate the rabbit quickly, not caring if there was a tiny bit left. Following Chaos quickly, he watched as she approached the river cautiously. He tensed his muscles. When he heard the crack He leaped forward to catch her scruff before she fell in and was swept under. He stumbled forward, his muzzle smashing into the snow, and he tried to reel back the leap. She had control over it. He got up miserably, shame searing his pelt. "Sorry," he muttered, looking away briefly. He had a pile of snow on his muzzle, like a snowman.

It is all she can do not to snicker at the grown wolf, but she can't hold back a smile. She raises her head to look at him, a look of playful triumph in her eyes. Well, that is a bit embarassing, isn't it? I'm only a pup, and I can hold my own... but you... She says softly, shaking her head in mock despair. Her ears flick in amusement, and she smiles to let the brute know she is joking. But in a way, she is serious. Most would call her a pup, and not skilled enough to live on her own and survive. But now it looks like she is doing better than Youssarian at the moment, who, she might add, is a grown male. Care to have a drink? Be fast though, the water freezes up quickly. She doesn't look back as she says this but waits until the sound she thinks is him lapping up water-or is that the river-subsides. She then moves on, still looking forward. She looks up at the sky before she walks to the trees. The sun is getting lower in the sky, suggesting midafternoon. Perhaps they should make their way back to the camp. She pauses to wait for Youssarian and have his idea.

Youssarian wouldn't doubt her skills, not in a million years. He flicked his ears joyously; the joking made him feel a lot better. Taking a few quick drinks, the water was cold on his tongue and teeth but it soothed his somewhat dry throat. Walking after Chaos, he noticed the setting sun. "Should we heading back to camp?" he asked, taking her hint as she looked at the low sun.

She nods, agreeing. Yes, I can show you the rest of the land tomorrow. Follow me. And she leads the way to the center of the territory. The camp is surrounded by thickly nestled trees, providing shelter from the harsh wind. In the center of the circle of trees is a lone rock that is hollow on the inside. A den is dug in the dirt beneath it. The rock is medium sized, and the entrance to the Alpha's den is just big enough for one wolf to enter. Her eyes glitter as she looks around the clearing she has made her home. The she-wolf turns to Youssarian. You can make your den anywhere you like. If you need me, my den is in that rock. She looks around the clearing once more. If you want to stay dry, I'd suggest digging a den in the roots of a tree of in the side of that little hill over there. If you do become Alpha, you will join me and sleep in my den. Unless that is... if you turn down the offer.... Her voice trail away, and she looks at him, a mischievous glitter in her eyes. Something tells her that he would never turn down an offer like that, but it's worth joking about.

He laughed. "If you offered anything to me, Chaos, I would accept. I can't help but fall for your looks and voice." Grinning slyly, Youss padded over to the roots of the trees, and began digging. His sharp claws works well with the crusted snow, and soon, it was large enough for a wolf to climb in and sleep. It was somewhat warm and dry inside. It held good against the bitter winds. Outting his head on his paws, he wondered if Chaos would ask him to be her mate. They had a great time together. He already loved her a little bit. He wondered if she felt the same way...

Chaos watches him dig his den for a moment before turning and disappearing into her own. She is already distant, thinking thoughts about the Alpha, and whether it should be Youssarian or not. He's a nice enough brute, with some authority and some humor as well. She starting to like him, maybe as a friend though. As she is curled up in the den, she thinks about what he might do for the pack. They didn't really discuss that, she was too busy showing him the land. The pack--or to be pack--needs a strong pair of leaders, one that gets along. She shrugs. They had gotten along fine from the beginning. But then another thought strikes her, this one more serious still. What if he is just playing with her to get the power of Alpha? What if the flattery and all of that... what if that wasn't true? The instant she thinks this, she shakes her head and lets out a soft, low growl. No. He had sounded sincere when he had first told her he was up for the position. He can't be lying, can he? She is sure he isn't, yet, no matter how annoying and crazy it drove her, it is always there in the back over her head...
IN THE MORNING
She pads softly out of the rock that serves as her den. The sun hits her eyes brightly and she blinks several times, waiting for her orbs to get accustomed to the bright light. She looks around the clearing for the brute, Youssarian. She is pretty sure he would be a good Alpha, but she thinks she might have to ask some questions, just to be sure. She wants her pack to strong, and for that to happen, the pack needs strong leaders. Sure, Youssarian is probably strong enough, she knows she is, and he might not abuse his power. But she has to ask. She blinks and looks around the clearing again. She sniffs the air, and she can smell his scent, possibly a little fresher than it was last night. Had he awoken already?

"Morning!" Youssarian called skirting the edge of the enclustered clearing with a mountain hair in his mouth. He sets it down in front of Chaos, and smiles warmly at her. "Did you sleep well?" He sure did. He had dreamed about Chaos, and that just made him very happy. He wondered if Chaos dreamt at all of him. He thought it would be nice if she had, but he wouldn't worry if she hadn't. Tht was all well and fine with him, absolutely. He wondered if Chaos even thought of him, because he thought of her a lot last night, especially how lovely she was to his eyes.

She nods. Reasonably. She sees the prey in his mouth and she smiles, satisfied. I didn't expect you to be hunting already. When did you wake up? Just before sunrise? She shrugs, not remembering any dream in particular. She frowns slightly as she tries to gether her thoughts. Well, no, not really... Her voice trails away. Youssarian, if you were to become Alpha, what would you do with the pack? Like, how would you help the pack? Would you abuse your power? Would you judge fights evenly, without siding? Her questions come quickly, and inbetween them, she doens't leave him time to reply. But now she pauses, waiting for his answers.

He smiled "I got up at Dawn." He says. He took her question thoughtfully. "I would make sure everyone was safe, even the omegas. I would make sure that the pups were healthy and fit, and that no wolf went sick. I would lead the pack faithfully, battleing when necessary. I would keep ranks in order, and make sure no one was out of line." He hoped she believed him, his words came from his heart. He meant them in every way possible. "Abusing power is cowardice." He frowned. That wasn't the wolf he would become. He would love his pack, and protect it and the land from all threats and dangers. He smiled again at her, his genuine old-fashioned smile that melted snowflakes it was so warm. His eyes glowed. Had she really thought about making him alpha? He was overjoyed that she felt the same way as he, maybe. He wanted to prance around the hollow, dancing and acting young, but that would be embarrassing, so instead he waited for chaos's next questions.

Chaos nods, liking his answers. They sound earnest enough, but she can't be sure. She thinks about the pack, how she would act, or rather, is acting, and how his answers might compare to her's. She thinks that the similar they are, the better, for they agree. She frowns slightly as she thinks of a few more questions, but she doesn't ask them yet. She looks up at the sky. The sun is high in the sky, suggesting mid-morning. She nods again, and it is a while before she speaks again. If a wolf misbehaved, how would you punish him or her? If you had to exile a wolf, what would be the reason? No, that didn't come out right. Um.... Why would you exile a wolf? As in, what would they do that is so... bad to receice that punishment? And about fighting, you do realize, I hope, that you may not like every wolf in the pack, but we need every wolf in the pack. In fighting, it can be hard not to take sides, especially if it is with a wolf that you do not like. You may also have... a best friend or a favorite, and they get in the fight.... It is the same for that. Which reminds me..... if a wolf was involved in a fight, a really bad one, how would you punish them? Would this punishment be better if it was someone, say a best friend, or would it be the same as anyone else? Would it be worse because the wolf might be the omega? She stops speaking, giving him a chance to digest all of her questions and answer them.

Youssarian looked down at the ground, wondering if his answers would come out all weird. If there was a traito in the pack, giving secrets yto others and giving away our battle techniques, they would be exiled. If a wolf murdered another wolf in the pack, they would be exiled. In fighting, everyone is equal in their skills, meaning that no wolf should take favorites in a battle. If a close friend or sibling was to betray the rules, I would exile them, no questions asked and no questions answered. He looked up at the sky, too, wondering if Chaos didn't like the truths he was saying. He didn't want her to think of him as a liar. He hoped that she saw the truth in every word he said, and how much he loved her. He blushed under his thick red wolf pelt, lucky that the blush and fur were the same color, because if he were a white wolf it would look like he was bleeding.

Chaos nods, liking his answers. She speaks, though she does not ask a question, merely saying a statement. I agree with you. I think you will do well as the Alpha. We both agree with many things. But, you also realize that this is a big responsibility and that you will mostlikely be the rolemodel for many wolves, just like me. You will issue orders, and if you are not strong than the pack is not strong. If we fight, then we will mostlikely spread worry throughout the pack. You do realize that we will need to agree on things, but also think about the pack, and what they want and think. We must also assert our dominance when needed, but not abuse it. We can treat others fairly, though the lower ranking wolves will not be treated as well as the higher ranking wolves. She pauses, waiting for him to speak if we will. But, contradicting her intention, she draws a breath and continues. We will lead the pack into battles, but we will do what we can to prevent one. We will guard the borders ferociously, and we may have a meeting with the Beta pair. Pause. So, Youssarian, if you accept my offer as Alpha, you will be taking on what I have just said, and most probably more. The pack will look up to you, if you accept, as your Alpha, they will follow your orders, they will learn to trust you. Are you willing to travel not as lightly as before, but with a burdon upon your shoulders?

I accept fully, Chaos, to everything. It will be an honor to be the Alpha here of Stone Frosts. He nuzzled her affectionately, hoping she knew he understood fully on everything she had just said. It was a pleasure to know Chaos, and he was glad he had stories of the cold land in the north led by the young beautiful she-wolf. He was glad he had trekked through rough terrain. It was all worth it, to hear her smooth voice and watch her glittering eyes. He sighed contentedly, wondering how many new members would join, and how the ranks would turn out. He was curious to see the well-being of his new pack that he would lead nobly. He smiled again at her, at the snow, and the birds, the clouds, everything. He would definitely get used to the Terra. Thinking up a few conversations, he wondered what prey and predators generally ran through the place. So, chaos, what sort of prey runs through here? What predators? He wanted to get the feel of the land, because he did not know it to well. He wanted to know the signs to look for, because tracking prey through there could be hard in the harsh winters. He was determined to become skilled throughout Stone Frosts, if he were to survive there. He already loved the Terra, but what secrets could it hold? What hidden, murky dangers that could threaten pack life? He would be any intruders, wolf or... other. He vowed to.

Well, then, Youssarian, I fully welcome you as the Alpha of Stone Frost. She smiles up at him as he gently nuzzles her. She nuzzles him back before stepping gently away. She listens to his question, and she smiles gently. The prey includes rabbits, various small birds, elk, mountain hare, and mountain goat. As for the predators... well, there's Snow Leopard, Mountain Lion or Cougar, Lynxes and some Birds of Prey. She looks up at the sky wondering if there is possibly a large bird in the sky, such as an Eagle. Unfortunately, she doesn't see one, but she shrugs and turns back to the new Alpha. Well, shall we hunt? Should I show you the rest of the land? Patrol the borders? What think you?
