clickit's bugging me, grueling me and twisting me around yeah I'm endlessly caving in and turning inside out
'cause I want it now I want it now give me your heart and your soul and I'm breaking out I'm breaking out last chance to lose controlThe dark bodice of the minx trotted through the terrain. She didn't quite care whose spit of land it was, it would be hers soon enough if she had anything about it. Audits flickered back against her skullery as she pressed forward. The nigrescent pelt tinged with the colors of fire was very confident, and somewhat arrogant. She could hear the whispers of the wind as the stalked with her on the edge of darkness. The sun was falling from its throne, the moon would be taking power here in a few short hours. The rays of the dying sun filtered through the trees, and she was unafraid. Of course she wasn't. She was Arsen. The she-wolf of legends that had survived since her fourth month on her own. At least she was a legend unto herself. No one had really ever heard of the minx, but that would all change very very soon. Footfalls carried her over the land that was half barren, but also half way teeming with some sort of life. The lands were not shabby of course, otherwise she would not waste her time here. No she wasn't a time waster. Arsen pulled her strides short, her snout catching a whiff of something rather disgusting. A masculine scent. Her cranium jerked upright from the stench immediately. Towers pressed tighter against her cranium as a smile spread across her features. This was her special sort of game. yeah it's holding me, morphing me and forcing me to strive to be endlessly cold within and dreaming I'm alive
'cause I want it now I want it now give me your heart and your soul I'm not breaking down I'm breaking out last chance to lose controlArsen was a very odd femme to be sure. Her head teemed with things that did not cross many females minds. She was not some whore, or a goody goody. In fact she'd rather tear out a throat than listen to that babble. She was a unique breed to be sure. Her mind was focused only on conquest, and then procreation with the strongest masculine she could find. But it was mostly conquest, and that could take years. So the procreation idea would have to wait. Kissers parted, pulling back over her canines. The blackened minx would call him to her. And if he was a smart little male he'd come running fast. Vocals emitted a short warning call. She made it sound more like a challenge than a greeting. She wasn't in the mood to be patient with him. Arsen let her acoustics lift, and sank her haunches to the ground. Chain wrapped around them, covering the red pads. Come quickly, come quickly. Meet the new face. She thought, a smile holding her features all the time. And the sun was still falling. She was glad she'd decided to jump over the claiming lands. They were so boring. Occuli still appraised the land in what little light she had, and she decided...to herself that she would make this land hers...or partly hers. One way...or another.

The large black male had been on the prowl through his lands, making an inspection of it and the border lest any unwelcome guests should have tried to steal even a small part of his land. He guards his kingdom jealously and rules it with an iron paw, anyone too weak to stand the heat aren’t welcome and challengers are met with fierce reprisal. So when he hears the howl of such an offender he doesn’t hesitate to meet the call; not that he would rush but make haste in his good old time. With fleet paws he crosses the tough grass fields below his smoking mountain and its molten plains, nose directing him in the direction of the intruder.
When he arrives he is not surprised to see it to be a female, his nose having told him that when he first caught her scent. Nor does he look flustered or exerted in any way as he drops his quick pace into a sudden stop with posture raised high and hackles along his spine raised like spikes in a death pit. One lip quivers to show a small glimpse of an ivory fang beneath the charcoal whiskers and he glares murderously down his muzzle with piercing crimson voids.
“What might your business be in my lands, fem? I have you know, challengers are not welcome here.” And as if to second its master’s words, the ground beneath their feet rumble with the rage of the volcano sillouhetted behind the alpha. It billows smoke as if outraged at the idea, growling and spitting sparks. “So speak quickly.” ~Ryker

((Hope you don't mind that Hannibal and Enkeli join?))
Hannibal had been listening to Enkeli's annoying drone of words as he seeked out the land he'd stumbled upon. His eye adjusted to the land, it was obviously Dark territory. This please him; it was what he'd been looking for all along. Now if he could get Enkeli to shut up, he would seek out the Alpha of this pack and ask in his charming way if him and his mate, Enkeli, could live out their days on this deliciously evil area, He smacked his tail down in annoyance, which got Enkeli to stop talking. Her blue eyes were now scared but full of attention. Pleased with himself, he began giving instructions.
"Listen, Enkeli. We need to find the alpha of this place, if we wish to fianlly settle down and get your dream of pups. Here is what we have to do. Your a tracker, I'm a tracker, this will be fairly easy." Enkeli, who had been listening thoughtfully, suddenly brigthened. "Pups, Hannibal?" her ears perked at the right time, or they would have missed the distant howl of a wolf.
"Hannibal! Wolf! That way!" Enkeli raced away from the undergrowth they had been resting in. Hannibal followed wisely, always trusting his mates judgement.
They soon found the howler; a wolf that was unexpected- female. And, what looked like to be the alpha male, clamining his lands once and for all for the wayward femme. Perfect.

inspiration for this post
The sound of footfalls was heard before long, and soon she could also hear the intake of his breath. It was not hurried or rushed in anyway, he was seemingly just out for a run. Stilts pushed the minx back to her feet. He came through the clearing, and she eyed him. A devilishly handsome brute to be sure, but she wouldn't give him the satisfaction of knowing her thoughts. He was, in fact, the male she had scented earlier and a smile crossed her kissers at his agressive pose. Exactly what she had expected. He was filling her expectations quickly. His hackles rose, and hers bristled slightly, but the smile still lingered dangerously on her features. It was his eyes that caught her the most though about him. Those hateful crimson voids. They were simply delicious. Her own orbs were a pale brown, much to her dislike. She had had no demon father to inherit bloodly eyes from.
She harked to his words, paws pulling her black bodice forward. "It's Arsen, actually." She corrected. Her face twisted in slight disgust of being called a fem. It was true, that she was one. She just rather that it was not brought up, especially in first meetings. "Well then I suppose I am not welcome, but let's forget that for a moment shall we? We have guests." Her gaze slid to the left to a slight rustle in the undergrowth. Were they part of this pack? She had not noticed another scent beside this one. Arsen approached the masculine she had expected, brown voids now paying no mind to the duo in the bushes. She was much to reckless, much to close. Her side brushed once along his, a clear invitation. She wouldn't mind being under this one for a while. It might even be fun. "What do they call you, red eyes? She spoke, eyeing the rumbling mountain. It seemed to be an active one. It heighted the danger, her sense of a high. This was what Arsen was known for. Stupid idiotic things. "And you?" She directed at the duo she was not even bothering to meet eyes with. A slight breeze blew their scent her way, the masculine's way. A pair. How odd.

Hannibal saw Enkeli about to say something, which means he had to take action. Anything Enkeli said could and can become a long, tedious speech. Stepping in front of her, he eyes the female challenger warily with his one eye. "My name is Hannibal, and this is my mate, Enkeli." he said in his natural charming way. The wind blew slightly, throwing Arsen's scent toward him. It smelled like rotten-something. He stood tall, although he wanted to cringe at the scent.
Enkeli smelled this scent, too, and almost launched into a frenzy of cussing, but she stood still. She knew Hannibal would get angry at her if she spoke up, but she wanted to say something not to Arsen, but to the strong-looking male next to her. Stepping around Hannibal, she spoke clearly and softly.
"My name is Enkeli, as you have heard, Alpha." she said, making her blue eyes work their calming, enchanting magic on him. "You must work hard to protect this beautiful land of yours." she felt Hannibal eyeing her cautiously, but he made no attempt to stop her. "Well, what is an Alpha without his followers? Me and my mate here might have a crave to join this land. To become your allies, your faithful followers. Arsen, here, might not know how to be faithful and trustworthy. But, you see, me and Hannibal are tired of wandering, and tired of not being within a steady pack. We want pups. A great benefit for your pack."She looked around carefully, and with a graceful stride, she stepped behind Hannibal again.

(OOC: I don’t mind who joins, but PLEASE try not to post willy-nilly and get ahead of me. I know I can be a little slow to post on the weekends (at least until I get my laptop back and after that hopefully I can be more regular then), but please be patient with me. I hate feeling rushed (which can make my posts crappy).) BIC:
He’s not sure how he should feel about his company, mixed feelings stirring in his chest. They cause the cogs and wheels to turn within his crafty mind, working as the fuel that sparks cunning electric to power his thinking. He must remind himself that he must not be too harsh when judging newcomers interested in staying, hanging around as his followers, an intention that Enkeli has made perfectly clear in her short speech. So, with this in mind, the alpha allows himself to loosen up just slightly, enough to allow leisure motion back into his tensed muscles but his guard in no way relaxed. His quick eyes dart between the faces, not opening his jaws quite yet to speak as he makes time to give his response words to mature before being uttered before their time.
“You are speaking to Ryker, the alpha male of these lands called Blood Red Moon, and a Dark Guardian.” He lifts his paws with neither tardiness nor speed, giving the impression that he settles each step upon the ground exactly where he had planned it to land as he paces in front of the, currently, strangers, all the while watching and sensing. Thus far, Ryker has not found any who would be so bold as to betray him; he has made sure to instill the fear of himself, the fear of the consequences that would follow an act of traitorism, into the hearts of his subjects. He has had many a faithful follower, even, who he had no need to threaten...those are the most valuable.
He stops in front of the female, Enekli, scarlet hued eyes locking upon her gaze as a fire lights inside the glass orbs as his expression draws into a blank stare for several long seconds. “I favor one who gets down to the point...Enekli. I don’t like any to waste my time and the less time wasted, the better.” Ryker’s words end and he breaks his gaze as he turns and paces the other way, addressing the entire company. “But if you’re not up to the challenge of my rule, if you aren’t tough enough, then I fear you should not request membership at all.” He has a feeling that neither Enekli or her mate will back down from what they had came here to do.
“As for you, Arsen, I’m not entirely sure what your purpose is for coming here.” Ryker stops sideways, turning his head to look at the other female, a question in his eyes. Is she really a challenger? Or is she, like the duo alongside her, looking for a home (and trying to look like a tough guy [or girl] while doing it)? He’ll get the answer soon enough. ~Ryker

Enkeli was sure she was blushing. What a compliment! And Hannibal always said she gave long, pointless speeches. Ha! Her tail twitched. She looked over Hannibal, excitement in her now huge eyes. Hannibal rolled his eyes at her. Enkeli looked down at the ground, trying not to show her happiness. Did these Dark wolves get happy? Enkeli got too happy too often. It disgusted her, the thought of Ryker not accepting her.
Hannibal could literally see the embarrassment on Enkeli. He stepped back and nuzzled her gently. "This is good," he said lowly, too low for Arsen or Ryker to hear. "I have a feeling he is going to accept us into his pack." Enkeli didn't respond. Her eyes were red with blush. She absolutely loved compliments, especially when they came from wolves other than Hannibal. Hannibal stepped in front of Enkeli again, this time closer to Arsen. Hannibal noticed that maybe it wasn't Arsen who smelled so bad. Was it Ryker? Maybe he had gone hunting before he came here.
After Ryker's words, he turned back to Arsen. What would she say? What was her purpose? It would be a foolish move to challenge Ryker. But Hannibal knew that himself and Enkeli could rip Ryker up any day.

Her hackles bristled even more at the snide comment that Enkeli had made. It was females such as this one that made her blood boil. Over run by the estrogen, and males as well. Kissers lifted over the canines a throaty growl erupting from her throat. It did not matter to her that two masculine's stood not feet away and at least one of them would jump to Enkeli's defense. "You had best watch that tongue, or I won't mind relieving you of it." She hissed, edging closer to the opposing female. She was pitifully pathetic, so weak and something Arsen could easily deal with. "And you know nothing about me." She halted her advance, the black fur bristling at her nape. Chain was erect, a dominant sign, as she growled once more. Her attention turned back to Ryker as he spoke, her yellow eyes giving one longing look at Enkeli's throat. She'd get that female, trust me...she would.
He spoke the terra's name and she just couldn't help but chuckle. Blood Red Moon. Hmm...she would have left that name in the back of her mind or named her children's den that, in secret. Never would she have spoken it aloud. But then again, perhaps she would have. You never know. Arsen also wasn't quite sure what Dark Guardian was supposed to do, instill fear in the fearless? The minx wasn't even afraid of death, why should she be frightened of a masculine? A small smile stole over her features as he directed his attention back to her. What was she doing here? Well she had intended to take the male's lands from under his nose, but now she was rethinking this. Well it was still true she wanted the lands for herself, but she was rethinking strategy. This was no roll over boy kind of wolf. She wasn't that dim. His gaze bore into her, as he addressed her reason for coming here. "I suppose I can be right up front with you, Ryker." She paced toward him, her gait slow and purposeful. "I seek power, and I was thinking that your lands might be the place to start." She chuckled under her breath. "But my mind seems to have changed. I wouldn't mind serving you, if only for the time being. I'm simply a rogue, and I come and go as I please." She looked back at the pair. "I am suited for loner life, and not so weak as to seek your protection." She sneered, eying the masculine now. She was making more enemies than friends, and this pleased the crazy minx.

Ryker observes the tension between the two femmes with a passive eye, not really caring whether they cared for each other or not as long as they did not hamper the progression of the pack or get in his way. The thought causes a snarl in the back of his mind, but he does not allow it to filtering through his vocals. They are not worth the pleasure of knowing his mood. Besides, Arsen is speaking and he feels he should devote some attention to her, a part of him disapproving of her greatly though the arrogant side is caressing him with consoling notions that he can handle whatever the wench dishes out. The alpha has learned to ignore these prideful notions; they’ve gotten him into trouble.
Her words finish and cease. Ryker grunts, his scarlet voids narrow into an angry, irritated glower as they rest like a red-hot iron brand on her countenance. “I don’t take well to traitors and deserters. If you are not in it for the long haul then turn tail and leave. I don’t need you wasting my time when I am hunting you down.” His ebonite lips twitch, ivories flashing with a warning that assures Arsen of his seriousness while confidence bristles from every strand of his pelt, in ever fiber of muscles that moves beneath the fur. “I have more important things to do and greater things to aspire to.”
He had been so close once, so damn close that he could taste victory. The others had not expected a thing, Haben’s throat was nearly between his jaws and the others not far behind his fate. But, no, that fool Apalyon. His claws dig into the dusty earth at the thought of the buffoon, a lowly peasant compared to Ryker’s power and majesty with thoughts of his own superiority. He would have found out if the guardian would have gotten a hold of him. Too many distractions...not this time. ~Ryker

Enkeli felt awkward, so she stepped closer to Hannibal. She stared at him for what seemed like a really long time. She was bored. She had the sudden urge to kill something. She got these sudden urges a lot. Hannibal called them Adrenaline Rushes, but Enkeli has other Theories. It was probably because she was pure evil and she deserved to go to Hell. She chuckled absentmindedly. She was still staring at her mate, who was obviously uncomfortable under her penetrating gaze.
Enkeli's head snapped over to Ryker. "So, dearest Alpha, I must leave now. I need to rip something up." Hannibal rolled his eyes at her. He was paying more attetnion to Arsen. Enkeli was obviously bored. He looked sideways at Enkeli. It must be hard for her to wait for Ryker's acceptance of her to leave.

Arsen chuckled once more. She couldn't quite take him seriously, though the eyes seemed demonic and fear inspiring. She had never known the meaning of fear, not when the tree had fallen and killed her caregiver. Nor when she had pushed her brother into the river. It was just something that did not exist her vocabulary. Dark obs looked at him, passively. "Oh dear Ryker, you catch my meaning in a way I do not intend. It was simply meant that I will fight for you, but I demand that I am able to come and go as I please. I do not expect to be restrained here." She padded toward him. "Besides, I'm sure you understand that don't you?" She approached, a smile upon her fascade. The female, Enkeli was sickening. Oh dearest Alpha, most High Alpha. It was too light for a dark. Next thing you knew she would be bounding around with a rose in her teeth and bowing. Acoustics flattened. "But I will stay, if you'll have me."

Enekli might be straight-to-the-point in speaking what is on her mind, but it is both a becoming quality and an aggravating one as it this time backfires in her face (at least in Ryker's opinion that he keeps to himself). Lack of self control is what he sees, but he overlooks it for the sake of practicing what he preaches. He grunts and motions in her direction, a wordless approval for her to take her leave. He doesn't really care at this point, his interest in the situation waning rapidly though he won't allow himself to pace and expose his growing boredom.
"If you do as you say, then you are welcome to belong here," he states simply, though there is an unspoken warning there. He'll be watching her, waiting for her to take a misstep; at which point he will have no qualms about dealing out punishment. It goes for any member of his pack. He does not see it improper to demand loyalty, obedience, and respect. A light alpha gains his from love, but what strength is there behind love when it can be busted. His iron will cannot be broken. ~Ryker
