The Light King leads the fae on the upper meadow of Symphony Falls, in earshot of the burbling river that runs through his lands with a slight hint of the roar of the waterfall in the distance. This time of year the meadows are blooming with wildflowers and the soft breeze flows the beautiful smells all around the pair for their delight. Halo lifts his crown high, alert gaze peering about intently for signs of distress or trouble; and finding none he relaxes and turns towards his companion.
"What do you think?" He smiles gently, taking a side-step closer just to be close. "I can show you the waterfall, too, and down below, around the lake there is many trees." The Lord watches the new herd member excitedly, anticipating her answer with much eagerness. This part of bringing someone else home has always been the most exciting, he thinks. ~Jynxed Halo

Fresh, happy scents dwell in the land Halo led her to. What a different place, a different horse. The river spoke in gentle tones nearby as she followed beside Halo. Her hooves thumped the ground steadily until he stopped, then so did she. "This is a fair place, may I stay?" He never had said she could, just that she could see it. Being mare she suspected she was welcome, still it was best to ask.
"Waterfall? What is a waterfall?" All her life she had lived in the dark forest. She hadn't been allowed to go far, she had not wanted to leave, that is unless for good. Tuira had not been able to make the trek until she was older.

Her question surprises him a little bit. Thinking back he guesses he had never actually openly offered, perhaps in the back of his mind assuming she understood or read between the lines to grasp the invitation for what it was. He supposes he should have been more straightforward; he had just been worried that she would decline such a bold invite. But, it doesn’t matter now. She wants to stay and he wouldn’t turn her away. “Of course, you can stay,” he speaks quietly, reaching over to her to gently stroke her neck with his nose reassuringly.
Then she asks about the identity of a waterfall and the stag’s smile grows into a grin and he nudges her encouragingly before picking up into a swift trot. “Come on, I’ll show you!” And he takes her to the edge of the hill where they can look down into the lake. The water roars in their ears now, the light glinting off the blue ribbon, the mist rolling up from the contact with the lake below, and rainbows leaping over the air all over. “Ain’t it pretty?” Halo has to raise his voice to be heard over the noise. ~Jynxed Halo

Tuira sighed contentedly at his reply. She twitched her pelt when he ran his muzzle over her neck. She turned to him when no bite came. Giving a whicker she followed after Halo with a springy gait. With her head raised high Tuira looked out over the land she could now call part of her home.
As the roaring got louder she became slightly worried. Never had she heard such a loud noise. Even the occasional thunder storm quieted. When Halo didn't shy in fear Tuira stuck close to his shiny pelt. A joyful whinny exit her muzzle at the sight of the colors. The waterfall's mist fell gently in shimmering waves across the land around it.
"It's beautiful Halo!" she shouts back "I know where my favorite place to be is now!" It was hard for Tuira to grip how big the water was. A small marsh was where she and her family were allowed to go drink from. The water that she saw now was clear, and sweet smelling.
Tuira shyly rubbed her head along Halo's side in a friendly way. "Is it dangerous to swim in?" She asked rather loudly. -It's bark worse than it's bite perhaps...-

Jynxed Halo smiles, very glad with the enthusiasm in which she speaks, relating her pleasure in the surroundings to him. And he thoroughly enjoys the shy rub on his side, bending his neck around to breath on her mane and nibble the strands in returned friendship. And when he makes to answer her question, he lifts his head but doesn't turn away so that it would not be difficult to make himself heard. "Well, you can swim up the river where the current is not as strong and down below in the lake. But I do not advice you or anyone to swim too close to the falls lest you go over it." He can only imagine, or care no to imagine, to outcome of such a fall.
He looks down over the wonder of his land for what seems like a long time, allowing Tuira's eyes to enjoy themselves, entertained by the sight. He has lived here for some months now, but the waterfall never fails to take his breath away. The brute sticks out his nose a little, feeling the mist dampen his face and he chuckles with amusement, drawing back and shaking his head. It tickled. ~Jynxed Halo

Tuira bobbed her head in agreement. The falls did sound intimidating, the feel of them deadly. His breath touched her ears which made her twith them furiously to avoid the tickling feeling.
"I am surprised that the herd isn't set here" she told him joyfully. Being out from under her Sire's hooves really did make a difference. Everything was happy, even the plants seemed happier here.
Tuira gave out a whicker before she broke into a bouncy trot towards the water. Head and banner high she made a circle before following alongside the water. It's depths were hard to see because of the ripples sent from the falls. Still all looked peaceful.
She turned her head to look back at Halo in case he wanted to join her odd romp. Tuira fluidly changed her gait to a prance, head tucking closer, mane rippling as the water. She slapped her tail in a side-to-side rythm. While playing Tuira felt less nervousness about soon meeting the herd.

Halo's face splits into a grin as Tuira's nervousness seems to melt away a little bit as she skips forward into a playful romp. And he joins her with a bunny hop into the shallow waters of the lake, trotting and bouncing around just to spray water up everywhere. He bounds forward with greater speed before jumping and landing as heavily as he can, splashing water in Turia's direction as he laughs and hops back onto the bank, loping ahead of the mare and weaving through the trunks of the trees. He spins around one and peeks out, as if she can't see him, and whinnies at her. ~Jynxed halo

Tuira shy's playfully giving a jump sideways before cantering through the shallow depths of the lake. Tuira looked about as though she really didn't know where Halo was. She wandered about while quietly making her way around the trees to get closer to him. Once close she poked her head around a tree and gave him a nip. Bolting out of the thicket before sliding to a stop. Turning she gave a loud whinny in his direction. Her ears perked forward, her teeth showing in a smile.

Halo 'ignores' Tuira, lifting his head as high as he can to see a green leaf hanging from a low branch that seems enticing to him. He snips it off and just as he begins chewing it he recieves a nip. He had literally dazed off and the sudden action startles him, painlessly of course. He chuckles and bends his neck around the slender tree again, this time searching for where the fae had run off to. His eyes find her easily and he makes a tight turn around the tree, green sticking out of his mouth as he pretends to stalk after her. He gets so far and faints a lunge for her, but stops short and instead nuzzles her. ~Jyxned Halo

-Ooc: I am so sorry for not being able to reply for a week or so. Bad internet connections here...-
Bic: Tuira twitched her ears back playfully as he approached stalking like. She returned his nuzzle before giving a yawn. "Well as much fun as this really has been, I am kind of curious to see the rest of the herd." She did have more fun than she had had in years, literally. "So how many live in this herd of yours? Do you think I'll have troubles being accepted?" A part of her had more questions to ask her new found friend but decided to cut it short at that. She twitched her pelt now and again because of the mist that fell. More than once she looked about to see the pretty colors shine off the grass nearby.

Halo is glad for the break as well, happy, though, that Tuira is so interested in the herd. It's a good thing. "There is about twelve of us in total, including you and three foals. I don't think you'll have any trouble being expected." He smiles and yawns, bending is legs beneath him and laying beside the water. He feels no need to worry about his lower position here, completely relaxed with the mare. He shakes his mane and looks across the water. "It's a good herd, full of good horses." ~Jynxed Halo
(OOC: It's okay. I've been having low muse too.)

"Well that is a relief" she sighed, tension having been released. Tuira wuffled Halo's forelock with enjoyment. His trust in her was a surprise, he barely knew her well, and apparently she wasn't a worry. Tuira's ears twitched in question of her surroundings. She listened for the danger that could lurk only yards from them. Her new leader being in a position that made her protective of her friend. She was sure to keep him safe as she lowered her head to grab some tasty, dew dipped, grass.
She took her time, lazily grazing the soft grass near her hooves. Occasionally she would turn to check on Halo, either with ears or eyes. His calm breathing reassured her that he was indeed fine and no harm had come. Memories of her sisters came to haunt her while her thoughts had become listless at times. When they were around she was this protective of them. Sometimes in her dreams, when realistic, she would see them. Her sisters, her Dam, when they were happy and close. Sadly that time was short lived for her family. -Stop thinking of things that can't be changed...- she warned herself as her brown eyes watered. A wrenching feeling in her heart remind her again of her past and how brittle it had once been.

Not sensing any danger, Halo is completely relaxed, even dozing off for a few minutes here and there. He feels so at peace today, despite the responsibilites he has as lead stallion or the duties he has towards the members of his herd. Today is just a good day, he decides thoughtfully as a yawn creeps up on him and steals a moment's breath from him. The yawn concluding, his shakes his head and snorts, stretching out his fores and pulling himself back up onto his feet, shaking the rest of his body habitually.
The perlino stag looks towards Tuira, watching her graze momentarily and not being able to help noticing the sadness tampering with her beautiful gaze. He frowns slightly and paces up slowly, dropping his head to graze near where she eats. His tail swishes behind him and he lifts his muzzle from the ground's greenery, chewing reflectively as he takes a few seconds the stare at the fae, ears flicking. "Is something bothering you," he asks around a mouthful of food, forgetting his manners momentarily. ~Jynxed Halo

Tuira blinked before replying. "Just the past", she lift her head to see his muzzle full. She let a laugh slip her out of her sadness "that explains the muffled question." With a smile on her muzzle she kept the memories at bay with thoughts of this new land, new promises unmade. -Halo mentioned three foals...- She almost hated to bother him while he was grazing but a part of her couldn't help it.
"Do you have a foal of your own?" Tuira hoped so. Halo was nice, his foals would most likely be the same from foalhood and on. "I like foals. When raised well they are kind with untarnished dreams and hopes." Tuira stated with a twitch of her ears. A darker thought entered her poll -someday I'll have foal- she sighed. Probably to some terminally rancid tempered stallion who couldn't keep his muzzle closed.

Halo nods once, not speaking further of it for the want of not prying or causing further discomfort to the mare by making her dwell upon it. Afterall, the reason he founded Symphony Falls was so that others who have been hurt can live and get away from their sufferings. He doesn't want to defeat the purpose by speaking further of Tuira's troubles. The perlino stag only smiles as she laughs, glad that he can amuse her and get her to smile. It makes his job all the more worth while. And he really wouldn't have worried about her asking questions, if it hadn't been a tender one.
He stops what he was doing, frozen and staring down at a clump of green that he had been eying before she voiced her question. "Hmmm," he hums quietly, contemplating an answer that would not seem too evasive and definitely polite. "A foal of my own? Yes, a daughter, but she disappeared along with her mother some time ago. I have no seen her since. So I'm not sure it could be said that I have a foal of my own currently." Tuira is not the first to ask him that question, he should be getting used to answering it by now, but it still seems to hurt. He'll live, he reasons. And he dearly loves foals, watching them frolic and run and play and laugh. ~Jynxed Halo
