Glowing eyes, lit a bright green in the shadows of a large holly bush. Alei blinked, her eyes flicking back and forth at the small meadow in front of her. The tall, pale green grass was dotted with flowers. Their brilliant colors spread across the land, like a speckled rainbow. The weather here was warmer than the place she had just left where bits of un-melted snow still scattered the terrain. The warm air had eased the pain of the bite mark on her throat as well, and made her feel more comfortable. This had to be it. Out of all the places she had been, this was the closest she had felt at home. Though, she didn't know if the land was claimed. If, by any chance a pack lived here, maybe they'd accept her. If it was unclaimed, there was still the worry of other dangerous wolves around that didn't want to share what they thought of as their prey.
She'd have to look around some more. Explore this new land she had happened upon. Her legs ached, complaining at the thought. She'd been traveling all through the night, without pausing to rest. All she'd eaten were small rodents, without other wolves it was too hard to wrestle, and kill any big game. Except for offspring, which, with her luck, she hadn't found any. So it was settled. Before continuing on her journy, she'd stop and rest. Regaining some strength, she'd look for a source of fresh water, and hunt. Padding from her hiding place, she pranced across the meadow, and into the sunlight.
Rays of light sprinkled over her pelt, warming the skin beneath her fur. She closed her eyes, and folded her hind legs underneath her. Releasing a sigh of relief, she rested her chin on her forepaws, and allowed sleep to take over...

It was summer, there was 'no' denying it. The pleasantness of the day was overwhelming to the Alpha male, so much so that he just had to get out and take a walk. Eventually he found himself near the Meadow, assuming that perhaps he'd be able to find something to eat, to take it down and then to drag it back to the cave, just in case any new creatures showed up wanting entrance into the pack.
Such thoughts were exciting to the male. He never imagined that he'd have his own Pack and still also be the prodigal son that would take over for his mother as head guardian. For a long time he denied his birthright but now he's beginning to settle into the idea.
Finding food was much easier then Arctic expected. A rather large doe meandered right across his path. It was like taking candy from a baby, not that the male took the greatest of pleasure in taking the life of another living soul, but it was necessary.
After the kill his eyes strayed to the middle of the Meadow. What was that? It couldn't be another wolf.. could it? Cautiously he began to tread a straight but stealthy path toward the unsuspecting creature, with a rather large hind quarter of the deer in his mouth. He was hoping to be of assistance today, perhaps the creature was hungry and needed to eat.
Arctic always did believe in living in harmony with others that also shared the same habitat....

A dark shadow cast over the she-wolf, turning her white pelt a smoky grey. Lifting her gaze, she could barely make out the silhouette of another wolf. A brute. Spinning on her heels, she twisted around quickly to face the newcomer. For some reason she couldn't see his eyes, and as he blocked the sunlight the color of his pelt remained hidden. Who was this mysterious wolf?
Her nose wriggled as she sniffed, catching the scent of a strange wolf. She was now falling in and out of sleep... She could sense a presence, but she still wasn't fully awake to actually get up and turn around to see who this new wolf was. So... she continued to dream...
Why couldn't she see his eyes? She could faintly smell him, but that didn't help her. The scent was unfamiliar, all she could make from it, that she knew, was testosterone. Though, carried with him, were the scent of other unknown wolves. She couldn't tell the gender completely, especially through sleep... Maybe he was in a pack? It did seem likely, what with the multiple wolf scents and all... Finally, after staring at the wolf what seemed to be a while now, she spoke...
"Who are you?" The words came out very soft, barely audible, but clear enough to make out each word. Her ear twitched at the sound of a twig snapping, and something scuffling through the grass. Now she was awake. Eye lids lifted, her eyes fading from clear to a milky white. Leaping to her paws, she whirled around, coming face to face with the male wolf. The outline of his figure matched the one of her dream. Clamped in his jaws tightly, was the flank of a doe. She tilted her head to the side and blinked the shocked expression from her eyes, although sleep still lingered, giving them a somewhat dazed appearance. Instantly, the white of her irises had disappeared to be replaced with a very noticeable, deep, bright, pink. She repeated the question she had whispered in her dream, not knowing that she had already asked aloud.

Once the female could see properly she could see that he was a rather extra large male wolf with muscles that were clearly toned and rather handsome, in fact godly looking in appearance. His pelt was thick and white, fluffy looking. The eyes in which he looked upon her with were cisterns of gold which held a depth to them, appearing swirling and metallic. Eyes were windows to the soul and deep within Arctic, as a matter of fact, to the bone, Arctic wanted nothing more then to do right by others. Today was no different. Before he would say anything at all he slowly placed the fresh raw meat before the female, almost as an offering.
He could tell that she was just taken from a rather deep sleep, his presence drew her. Her eyes seemed foggy and distant, perhaps thinking that he was a mere phantom of her dreams. Arctic would be patient and wait for her to revive completely from the depths of her slumber until he would bombard her with questions.
Arctic chuckled lowly when she asked him two times who he was and when she spun around she came face to face with his impressive size, his golden orbs and a grin that couldn't be matched by another. There faces were rather close, which caused the Alpha to grin even wider. When his voice spoke he was soft and gentle, knowing full well how it felt to be prematurely taken from the land of dreams. "No need to be alarmed M'lady. I was just out taking a relaxing walk when I saw your figure laying in the Meadow. I just wanted to make sure that you were well and to see if you needed my assistance. This is my territory." The male nudged the meat toward her with his nose. "Are you hungry?" Softly he smiled at her.
Arctic failed to inform her just how extensively he ruled, not only as a pack Alpha but he was also head guardian. Really anyone that knew who he was sort of took their lives in their own paws. Then again if they were knowledgeable in wolf prophecy they would most certainly know what the tattoo of the snowflake that was on his body meant. The marking was undeniable and very noticeable.

Seeing the brute's enormous build, she felt both defensive, yet protected. He hadn't had any anger in his eyes, or tension in his rather large muscles. She was pretty sure this wolf was a friend. She smiled, blinking the last bit of sleep from her eyes, and took in his handsome and impressive appearance. Long, white fur coated his masculine frame, as he stood tall in front of her. Compared to him, she felt even smaller. She had always been small for a wolf her age, being the runt of her litter, and having the tiny frame and bone structure of her mother who was part Eurasian wolf. There may have even been a little fox or coyote in her. The next thing that had been so noticeable to her, were his eyes. They were a soft golden color, warm and welcoming. The grin plastered across his face was just as friendly and inviting, causing her own eyes to light up as her smile widened.
The sound of his voice was just as wonderful as his looks. Soft, and almost irresistible. It tempted her. Her flirtatious side was easy to trigger. Being this close to the male's broad face was only even more tantalizing. She could smell his scent much more now that she was awake, and it seemed to surround her. Taking another look around her at the lovely scenery, it was no wonder that he owned this place. He seemed to match the landscape perfectly. If this was who led the land, she wouldn't be able to pass up the opportunity to live here. If there was an opportunity of course. His words were caring, and kind, and she would now meet them with hers.
Dipping her head somewhat in an attempt to be polite to the alpha of the eastern lands, her lovely voice rang softly into the air. "Yes. Actually, I am." She glanced down at the doe he had offered her, for the first time since the moment she saw him. "But I wouldn't want to empose..." After all he had tracked down the animal, and she wouldn't feel right accepting a stranger's meal so easily. Besides, she was so hungry she'd probably eat the whole thing. Okay, not that hungry, but still... She would want to share it fairly. He hunted it, so he deserves the bigger share, and the best parts. Being liver, heart and kidney. Still bowing her head, she looked up at him from under her lashes, waiting for his reply.

She was polite and very humble. Arctic liked her already. Even though she was clearly hungry, he could see it in her eyes when she gazed at the meat, she refrained from just greedily diving into the free meal. This displayed to him that she was also a giving female, generous at heart, which was a fine quality for a female. She would go far in life. Arctic could sense that about her.
The male shook his head in a 'no' manner and then gestured toward the edge of the Meadow as he picked the slab of meat, mumbling from behind it as he spoke, his lips arching up as he did so. It looked rather cute. "Follow me." Still he smiled.
As they walked he found that her scent was becoming stronger and stronger. He became much more aware of it and it was hard to think of anything else but her sensual aroma. Still though Arctic was strong willed and he kept his composure very well. Silently though there was much more going on then he could control. Picking up her scent only caused his to become even thicker.
Once they got to the place that the doe lost her life he again gestured to it, dropping his package in front of the female wolf. "I was just out for a walk and by dumb luck she walked out in front of me. It's not a big deal. Eat as much as you want and if you want more I'll hunt another." He giggled again nosing the meal toward her, looking up at her with those big golden eyes of his.

Nodding, she obeyed the male wolf, standing and pausing quickly only to stretch the sleep from her thin limbs, then strode gracefully behind him. As she wondered curiously where he was taking her, her eyes shifted off of him to glance around at the lovely nature as they passed. So far, she hadn't seen a single horrid thing on this land. Hopefully that meant only more good would come. So far, it had. She smiled to herself at the thought. Shortly, they came to a stop, several feet from where she had fallen asleep only a few moments ago.
Again, one look at the male, and the smile upon her face widened. "Are you sure?" She gave an innocent look, and suppressed a small laugh at his little joke. Really, it didn't take all that much to fill her up. More and more, his voice, his scent, everything about him was becoming irresistibly enticing. Not waiting for an answer, she spoke again. "You take the first bite." Not wanting it to sound like an order, she added another quick grin to the statement and padded beside him. Their fur brushed, and she gave him a sidewards glance filled with emotion. The look was playful, her eyes sparkling with seduction. She waited for his reply, shifting the weight from her right paw to her left, placing it agonizingly close to his.

A brand new feeling was sweeping over the male; it was taking him over, like ivy as it crept across the land, but much quicker and much more pleasurable since clearly ‘he’ was the one feeling it. It was her smile, her appearance, her playfully seductive manner. He just couldn't keep his eyes from embracing her, everything about her. Her slender sexy limbs as she stretched, her walk, her eyes and especially the fact that their fur just brushed! 'That' sent chills straight up his spine.
He liked this....
She still was coy and wished to not take the first bite, of the quarter that he had first offered her. Arctic chuckled lowly and obeyed her request. With a purpose he dove into the meat, coming back up with a soft red tint to his muzzle as he chewed thoughtfully, gesturing toward their meal with the glancing of his eyes. He simply couldn’t wait for her to rip into it. There was something about watching a female eat that excited him, not to mention the fact that raw meat tended to make a wolf overly zealous anyway.
Was this what flirting was? If it was it felt ‘wonderful’!

Her lips curled back into a smile, teeth showing, but just barely. She sat and watched as he tore the meat open, taking a piece, blood outlining the soft white fur around his muzzle. Feeling her hunger grow, her pink tongue slid from between her teeth, flicking across her lips; but she wouldn't take a bite until he was done with his. Watching, she waited for him to swallow, then crouched to the ground, lowering her jaws to the kill. Parting them, she sunk her white fangs into the bloody flesh, and easily tore her own piece off. She closed her eyes, as the wonderful taste overwhelmed her. Lingering on her tongue... With just a few snaps of her jaws, she swallowed. Sitting back up, she licked the remaining taste from her snout, then turned toward the male. "I didn't catch your name." She stated, giving a crooked smile, as her eyes flashed between pink and lavender; Metallic flecks, swirling the two colors together.
She couldn't take her eyes from his, after they met. Something fluttered through her chest, filling her entire body with an amazing feeling, close to adrenaline; but even more amazing. Her ear twitched, out of anticipation, and she tilted her head slightly waiting for his answer.

She was just too cute! He couldn’t believe that he’s had the opportunity to meet a female like her! So far what he knows of her he likes, but heck, the vibes and her aroma were enough to send his heart to the clouds and back again. It could only get better… Right?
Thus far she was tender, polite, generous, patient, wonderful attributes, wonderful qualities to add to his pack, which is ‘if’ she was looking for a pack to join. What if she wasn’t? Arctic’s heart skipped a beat. It was with these thoughts, and the fact that she asked him his name, that he decided that there was no time like the present to find out what her story was.
Arctic swallowed hard. He found that it was hard to breath around this female. ”Oh, yes! My name is Arctic Fang and may I have the great pleasure of knowing your name and what has brought you to my territory?” He did not emphasize ‘my territory’ but surely she would pick up the fact that clearly he was the ruler of the Eastern Penori Pack. Arc was, however, not one to boast or to flaunt his rank.
Patiently he awaited her response but in the meantime he thought that he’d make use of his idle time by ripping a piece of meat off for her, placing it at her one paw as he smiled flirtingly, but not before taking the opportunity to help her out with a piece of meat that she had stuck to her one lip. Helpfully he licked it free, his tongue swiping gentle but still managing to penetrate her mouth, licking her pink gums as well. He blushed when he realized what he had just done. Shyly he looked at her, hoping that she wasn’t offended. Whenever he gazed into those unique colored eyes of hers he felt himself melt.
He still said nothing, hoping that she would just continue on with their pleasant conversation. Inwardly he kicked himself, now praying to the wolf gods that she wouldn’t run away from him, thinking him to be a cad for doing such a thing.

When she heard him speak his name, shivers raced down her spine. It was a brilliant name, suiting him perfectly. The words that followed didn't surprise her at the least. His voice lingered in the air around her, no matter what he said or how he said it his voice was remarkable. Just like the rest of him. From what she already knew, anyways. The words had just left his mouth, and within seconds she was ready to answer.
But before she had the chance to reply, he placed another peice of meat at her paws. Then... She felt his tongue against her lips. The touch was gentle, affectionate. It trailed past her lips and into her mouth, just barely sliding across her gums. She could feel his breath just under her chin. Her heart quickened, but she stayed calm, like always. This was her favorite of all games. And she was good at it. When he backed away she raised her eyes to his, seeing him quickly regret doing what he just did. Well, maybe not regret, but he looked a little ashamed. Shy.
Giving him a michevious smile, she stood, and stepped forward leaning into him slowly. Nuzzling his neck, she ran her tongue across his cheek, giving him a quick thank you for his help. When her lips met his ear, she whispered his name. "Arctic Fang..." Her voice trailed off into a soft sigh, then she backed away to face him again. "I'm Alei." Sitting, she wrapped her tail around her dainty paws, then readied herself to answer his next question.
Taking a breath, and re-organizing her jumbled thoughts, she began her story... "I've been traveling all my life..." She paused, looking away from his eyes and off into the distance. "I've been searching for something..." Drifting off again, she shifted her eyes back to him, gazing into his. She could feel the amazing feelings creep over her again... "and I think I found it..." She smiled, before leaning down to take the meat in her jaws.

Well! The good new was that she didn't seem to mind the unexpected lick. She didn't rip his head off and that was 'always' a great sign! But the after shocks of his actions was something that Arctic just did not expect at all. He felt his entire frame tremble with delight, a trail of goosebumps traveled from his nose, over his backbone and to the very tip of his tail. This was a feeling that he's simply never felt before.
What happened next also took him by surprise, like an invigorating rainshower that felt so exhilerating or the full moon which enticed him to howl. She nuzzled his neck and rewarded him with a lick over the cheek. Indeed she must have liked his actions. This caused Arc to feel much more at ease around her. Instantly he relaxed, that was until she craned her head up in order to whisper in his ear. Arc's eyes closed, if only for a mere second as he listened intently as she said his name, a sound sweeter then honey. He longed to remain in this moment forever but she then backed away.
Arctic found that he had been holding his breath and so he slowly let it out as he listened to her tell her story. Nothing could be more important right now then to focus his full attention upon this female. She entered his life so suddenly and now he feels as though something has changed. Arc smiled as she said that she found what she's been searching for. What he did next was unexpected as well. Usually 'he' was the one being asked but this time he did the asking. "Alei.... Will you join my pack?" Arc stepped forward and nudged his nose beneath her jaw so that she would look up at him. He found that her gaze was unlike any other and he began to long for it.

As she watched Arctic Fang's expressions change dramatically, she chewed, allowing the flavor of the meat linger on her tongue. It'd been so long since her last taste of deer. And this one seemed to taste particularly better than the others. Closing her eyes, she let her other senses take over. Arctic's scent seemed even stronger, and she focused on it, taking in everything, as if she'd never see him again and lose the scent forever. She didn't want to forget this. Opening her eyes again, she was taken by surprise, not so much by the question he asked, but rather what he had done.
She felt his cool nose under her jaw, as he lifted her chin to gaze into his eyes. Automatically she had wanted to howl the word yes to the entire world, over and over again as loud as she possibly could. But she managed to bite her tongue, and continued to gaze into his eyes. She didn't want to seem so desperate. Alei didn't know what it was like to join a pack, for she had never been in one, nor had she lived with very many wolves. Just her family when she was a pup, and Keenon; her rescuer and trainer for just a while, when they traveled the lands together. Now, she would have to think of the other wolves she would be living with if she accepted this offer. This was her wish, wasn't it? To never be alone again. Now, as these thoughts and memories swept over her, her eyes began to turn an ice blue. She blinked, her eyes changing again, back to the lavender-pink; and just as quickly as she blinked the sad color away, she pushed the thoughts back into the shadowed depths of her memory.
"Oh, Arctic..." She pulled away, and pressed her forehead and chest into his soothingly warm neck fur, their legs dovetailing together. Her left paw in between his two front paws. Regathering herself, she backed away again, and smiled sweetly. "I'd love to..." If the rest of his pack was as sweet and as strong as Arctic, there was no way to could pass this up. She didn't want to go back to traveling alone again. Suddenly she felt a vast surge of relief rush through her, and she noticed her heart had skipped a beat. To be accepted so quickly... there must be some kind of catch... right? Oh, she hopped not. But she had to be cautious.
Still, she didn't know much about pack life. She could only guess it would be a little like the life she and Keenon had led, but without the traveling. The two had watched over each other, hunted for and with each other, trained and defended one another. She was convinced that she was ready. Ready for whatever was to come. No matter what the cost. Alei wasn't usually one to hesitate. She jumped at every given opportunity, even if it was dangerous. This was happening so fast, and she could feel the wonderful feeling of belonging overwhelm her with happiness. Her eyes sparkled with excitement, flashing from one color to the next in mixed emotions. Her heart sped, with the rush of everything that was happening.

There was much that he 'didn't' know about this female but what he sensed about her he liked thus far. Still though, he had to be careful as well. There had been attempts on his life before and each time it came at him from a different angle and each time he learned from it. In his heart though he prayed that someone wouldn't use such a beautiful female wolf against him, especially so since his emotions were beginning to run deep for Alei. In truth he had never felt this ignited by another's presence so quickly and so powerfully. All of his senses were tingling, especially his nose. Her scent was driving him wild!
So far she never failed at amazing him. She took his breath away. When she came forward and took it upon herself to press into his strong and proud chest and thick neck he gasped. It took only a second though for him to lean into her and to nuzzle her affectionately with his nose and muzzle. If he were a cat he would have began to purr. Her fur was so soft and her eyes amazing to stare into. Indeed he was totally captivated by this female.
And again their physical connection didn't last long enough, not nearly long enough to suit the Alpha male. He was left longing once again, longing to be closer to her, longing to inhale her scent while digging his nose deeply into her fluffy white fur. But he recovered quite nicely as he grinned from ear to ear at her and then bowed his head. Any female that could capture him the way that she has deserves his respect. "Then welcome to my pack Alei. We are still small but I'm sure that our numbers will grow. I'm looking forward to welcoming new pups into the pack as well. I have a feeling that there will be plenty of them here in the Celestial Terrace." He winked at her and then chomped into the deer, pulling out the most nutritious for Alei and placing them at her feet.
Pups were one of Arc's weaknesses. He found that lately he thought of them more and more and in the manner in which they would be created. Arc thought of the bond that he wanted to feel for a female that was worthy of his trust and devotion. If a female managed to gain that most intimate part of himself then she would certainly become his Alpha female. Chills ran up is spine when he lingered on such thoughts for to long.
Upon chewing Arc looked up at Alei. He couldn't help but to watch her eat, especially of the most important pieces that he had just given to her. They would provide a substantial amount of energy for her body. But other things were on his mind as well. Like... Where did this female come from? "Do you have any brothers or sisters M'lady?" He smiled when asking her this. He wanted to know everything that there was to know about her.

Her happiness only grew stronger when Arctic Fang accepted and welcomed her into his pack. She didn't know why, but she felt a bit more relieved when she found out the pack was still somewhat small. Not as many wolves to please, she supposed. It'd be overwhelming to join a pack with so many wolves, so quickly. After all, she didn't know what the others would think of her. And there was also another good thing about joining a pack early on; she'd be there to witness it grow. She may be the one to stumble upon a newcomer, like herself, wanting to join the ranks of what was now, 'her pack' as well. She shuddered at the thought, her grin widening. She now belonged to a pack. She couldn't wait to meet the others, and see the rest of her new homeland and where she would be sleeping from now on. The constant threat of death, without a safe place to rest at night, would no longer haunt her dreams.
"Thank you. You don't know how much this means to me." She said this, knowing that he truly didn't know how much it meant to her, and she didn't know how to even begin to explain it. The loneliness she had felt after everyone she once known, left her. How she was left forgotten, unimportant, and alone, struggling in a dangerous world on her own. Though she didn't regret anything in her past. She felt she had learned a lot from her experience. How to accept change, make new friends, how to lose someone, how to carry on with your life no matter how depressing. She also picked up wonderful survival skills, like how to fight, manage on her own, find safe places to spend the night, hunt for herself, take care of herself, and more. These things, she was sure, would only help her more in the future, and it was at this moment that she realized her life wasn't so terrible. Not now anyways. She felt that everything she had done was worth this. Worth what she was about to experience, and all the wonderful, surprising things to come.
When she heard him talk about the pups, her ears perked up, and she raised her eyes back to his, blinking the dazed look from them. She hadn't been around pups much. In fact, she didn't think she had been around them since she was one herself. But she could feel somewhere in her heart, the motherly instinct to love them. She always had a little pup in her, even now, she was still that little playful ball of fur she once was. She loved to run and chase and play, but not at the moment. She was still regaining her strength. It was then, that she remembered the bite on her neck. The pain had long ago subsided, but the mark would still be there to remind her of the tussle with the over-jealous she-wolf. Catching the wink, she pondered for a moment, wondering exactly what he meant by it. Then he ripped the deer open again, pulling out the best of delicacies and placed them at her paws. She couldn't possibly accept these, at least not without sharing.
But before she could say or do anything, he asked her another question. She took this as an opportunity to use her mouth to answer the question and buy herself some time before declining his generous offer. "Actually, I do have two brothers," She began, "but, I haven't seen them in years. Not since we were pups; they joined a clan of rogues with my father, while I chose a separate path. What about you?" She reversed the question, leaning down to pick up a small piece of meat. Instead of eating it herself, she leaned her muzzle toward his, hopping he'd take half.
