Alei noticed the sly look on his face, as he turned back from her after rubbing his body against hers. She sent a michevious smile of her own to him, then he took off, dashing across the terrain, crimson light dappling upon his fur. She pelted after him without hesitation, unable to deny the challenge. The wind whipped against her face again, she couldn't wait to jump into the lake...

Running alongside him, she had to stop herself from speeding up and ahead of him when she noticed the lake. It was so beautiful... When the two came to a stop on the bank, she felt the warm sand seep under her little paws. She longed to dive into the velvety water, breaking the silvery surface, and swim into the depths of lake, but she held back... Turning to Arctic, the look of awe still gleaming in her eyes, she spoke. "It's amazing..." She smiled, knowing in the back of her mind that it still hadn't even matched up to Artic's amazing features.

"It's amazing..." Arctic grinned and then nodded as he looked at her, referring to her more then the actual beauty of the lake. "Yes.... Yes it is amazing." Along with the smile that he rewarded her with came a wink, just before he darted toward the water. "Last one in is a rotten egg!" Of course he cheated, which made him laugh all the more.

Arctic was an expert swimmer, he could even swim beneath the water, feeling totally comfortable with the weightless feeling that the clear liquid gave to him. Instantly he dove beneath his waves, hoping to sprout up along side of Alei in order to give her a tiny scare.

Ahhh... This was the life. Arc was beginning to settle into his new life. At first, his entire life in fact, he resisted the idea of being a Head Guardian and a Alpha but the benefits that came along with it also helped him to actually begin to like the idea.

Alei tilted her head in confusion to his words, when she noticed the wink added to it. Covering her confusion, she gave a quick smile, just before he dashed for the lake. She heard his words, and took off after him, knowing that since he cheated, getting the head start, that she would be the last one in. Her soft laughter mingled with his, floating off into the air. It was dusk, the sun was already begining to set. The lovely mixture of colors in the sky reflected off the surface of the water. Which made the lake's beauty even more magnificent.

The surface of the water broke instantly when Arctic jumped in, shards of water peircing through the air and glinting in the fading sunlight. She watched him disappear under the waves, as drops of water hit her fur, covering her all over. Jumping in after him, she too dove under, head first. She loved to swim. It was a lot like running, but even more relaxing, along with the weightless feeling that came with it. She felt the water soak into her fur, as she pushed herself even farther under. Though, Arctic was out of sight, she swam back to the surface quickly, hoping to see his face again. It had only been a few seconds, and she already missed gazing into those beautiful golden eyes...

The water was so crystal clear that when Arctic turned he could see Alei's body dangling in the water. She was positioned in such a manner that he could tell that her head was above the surface. He chuckled softly to himself as he made his way over to her, softly nipping at her back paws and then drifting up her body so that he would come up right in front of her.

Powerfully he broke through and into the place where he could now gasp and breath in some much needed oxygen, all the while he was giggling and laughing. "How does it feel Alei? It's cold isn't it? The lake is fed by the waterfall that hides the entrance to our cave and so it's very fresh and 'cold'." He emphasized the word cold because it was!

The male swam around, noting how beautiful she looked even when wet. He also noted her eyes and how they seemed to change color. Arc wanted to tell her that her eyes were breath taking but he thought it to be to soon to tell her such things. The last thing that he wanted to do was push her away.

Alei felt his teeth against her back paws, as he bit down softly. She laughed as the touch sent chills along her spine. Looking down into the water she could see through the surface as he swam up. His body moved against hers', their wet fur brushed together. She could feel his muscular chest move along her belly, against her rib cage and over her own chest. Then he surfaced, he inhaled deeply, and she could feel his breath against her neck as he released the air. She smiled and closed her eyes, laying her chin on his shoulder blade.

She listened to his words and replied with a laugh, it was cold. She just didn't realize it until now. All the while, she was so focused on him, she hadn't even paid attention to the freezing water that lapped at her fur. Though, his warmth surged through her body as they floated above the lake's surface, so close... Lifting her chin, she turned to gaze into his eyes. "It feels wonderful..." Really, she was talking about him, it felt wonderful to be so close to him, to feel his warmth, and to be so relaxed, feeling weightless in the water together. "and cold." She added, laughing again, as she watched him swim around her.

She could see the sun set reflecting off the water, and lighting up Arctic's pelt a million different colors. Parting her jaws, she released a soft sigh of happiness, she couldn't believe how amazing everything felt...

Alei's scent was different now that she's all wet but still it was the strongest thing that the male had ever smelled. It was very alluring and very intoxicating and Arc was mesmerized by it, it wrapped around his entire existence like a warm scarf, especially so when she put her head on his shoulder.

He just wanted to take her... here and now! He wanted to claim her for his very own. This was how powerfully he felt about this femme. But no, he needed to wait, to be sure. Arc wanted to confirm that his emotions were genuine and that she felt the same as he did. In his mind there was turmoil. The logic of his brain fought with his heart, his gentle side with his more masculine side, the side that forged the testosterone through his veins like venom from a snake bite. His very soul began to ache for her.

The white male continued to swim around the female, stalking her pleasantly, rubbing and bumping against her, teasing her with his very presence until he was behind her. It was then that he approached her and wrapped his paws around her, enticing her with his tender voice and with his hot breath in her ear. "Are you ready to get out? Let's go back to the cave... unless there was something else that you wanted to do." Softly he licked her ear, perhaps to just obtain a reaction but more then likely to be able to gain just a tiny taste of her.

Alei's eyes followed his every move, as they lit up a bright fuchsia, sparkling with the reflection of the water as the soft moonlight hit the lake's surface. She smiled, enjoying the moment of silence between them as they spoke to one another through actions rather than words. Her patience was quickly evaporating, with each second spent with him. She didn't know how long she would be able to hold off. This was something she had never felt with a male. She could always wait, playing hard to get, toying with their emotions, letting her scent linger around them until they were the ones who could no longer hold back anymore. Now, she was getting taste of her own medicine. She couldn't believe how much she wanted Arctic. It was unbelievable, how enticing everything was about him.

She watched him swim in another circle, disappearing behind her again, but this time as she waited for him to appear on the other side of her, he didn't. Instead, she felt him slowly creep up behind her, his chest pressing against her back, paws wrapping around her rib cage, pulling her closer to him. Then she felt his breath in her ear as he whispered his next words. His voice was soft, seducing her, even with the simplest of words.

Before she could reply, she felt something else against her ear. Without thinking, a soft, barely audible moan escaped her lips, as his tongue ever so gently penetrated the sensitive skin around her ear. Her eyes closed with the overwhelming feeling that surged through her body, sending shivers trickling down her spine. Her heartbeat began to speed up, racing with her breath as it too quickened. With one gentle touch, he sent her falling even faster for him. Regaining her thoughts, she tried to put together a full sentence in her head to answer his question.

She found herself looking up into the night sky, the colors had faded to be blanketed with a thick pigment of ebony. Bright stars, like diamonds, dotted the sky, and just as Arctic had said, the moon was full. It shone, like a spotlight, onto the two wolves' pelts. Just before she opened her mouth to speak again, a bright stream of fire streaked across the sky, disappearing in less than a second. Her eyes sparkled in awe, at the sight. "It doesn't matter... as long as I'm with you..." She had longed to say this, but didn't know if she should. Again, she hadn't wanted to hesitate any longer, so she decided to say it. She smiled, even though he couldn't see her, she just couldn't hold it back. She couldn't imagine herself ever being upset or angry at him...

Arctic could feel the connection between him and Alei and it was growing by the second and it was something that he's never felt before in his life. If he was to remain a gentle-beast he would have to stop doing what he was doing. But oh how he wanted her! How could he tell his heart that his body couldn't be close to her? Arc just couldn't pull himself away from her, and even more so when she said that she'd go anywhere as long as she could be with him.

The male also grinned. It seems as though he had been waiting forever to hear a femme say that to him. He began to swim backward, with Alei still in his tender grip as he spoke to her. "I feel the same. I feel like I've known you since I was a pup. I know that's impossible but I just can't help what my heart feels." They made it to shore rather easily. Arc was strong and capable of effortlessly carrying him and Alei's body weight, even if they weren't in the water.

Once his back paws could touch he reluctantly released her as he strode proudly up on shore, shaking his coat until it looked fluffy and would dry easier. "Are you ready? We can go back to the cave and have a snack and then rest until morning." Arc moved toward Alei and licked across her muzzle before asking her a very important question. "Alei... I want to ask you a question. Would you just... Would you... Nothing has to happen. I just wanted to know if you would sleep next to me tonight in my room?" He felt like a pup but he finally got the words out.

Alei closed her eyes, as he began to swim backward, carrying her with him as they glided through the water, as one. The smile grew wider after he had said he felt the same as she had. When he spoke the words about seeming to know her all his life, she had been dying to tell him the same. Just when she thought this moment would last forever, they stopped, reaching the shore rather quickly. Too quickly for Alei's liking. Then his warmth faded, when he left her, cold air rushing in where he had once been just a second ago.

She sighed silently, spinning around and stepping out of the water after him. Though, she didn't shake the water from her fur. Instead she allowed it to soak in, beading on top of her silky pelt, and dripping off here and there. She loved the feel of water all over, especially on a warm summer night like this one. Ever since she was a pup, she had loved to swim. He pelt clung onto her slender frame, showing off her curves and thin legs. Now, more than ever she looked more feline, than canine.

A snack and rest sounded very appealing right about now. She hadn't realized it, but it had been quite a long day, even though the time seemed to slip by much too quickly. His tongue rasped over her muzzle, and she could taste it as it brushed past her lips. She grinned at the action. His next words surprised her. She hadn't thought about where she would be sleeping, yet she feared if it wasn't beside him, she wouldn't be able to get to sleep at all... Eyes gleaming, she nodded. "I'd love to, Arctic..."

Well that went rather well. She said yes! For a moment or two Arc stood in disbelief but then he grinned widely. After the initial shock wore off he began to walk, hoping that this female wolf would remain by his side. All the way home the only thing that he could think about was how wonderful it would feel to have such a beautiful femme laying next to him. Shivers ran down his spine and softly his large body shook with delight.

The stroll to the cave was pleasant but as he entered his stomach grew a little nervous. His eyes looked down at her. There was something growing in them as well as his heart. It was something warm and wonderful. Slowly he made his way to the pantry and offered her a piece of the deer that they were sharing earlier. Only the best pieces he served her.

Alei smiled, walking beside him as they made their way back to the den. With each paw step she grew a bit more tired, sleep pulling at her slowly... She followed Arctic up the staircase-like stones that lead behind the water, jumping onto each rock carefully. When the entrance to the cave was in sight, she smiled again. She wanted to run ahead of him and throw herself onto one of the mossy nests and wait for Arctic's warmth to surround her again, but she didn't. Instead, she allowed him to pass through before herself, then she followed him in. The cool air of the den rushed around her, soothing her still wet coat, almost causing her to shiver. It was a bit unexpected, but it felt nice. The humidity outside informed her that it would probably rain soon, and the cool air was very comforting campared to the heat outside.

She sat on the cold stone floor of the cave, when he turned his eyes on her. Gazing into them she felt hypnotized, they were like pools of golden metallic swirls, filled with emotion. The moment didn't last long though, for he turned and headed for the pantry of the den where he picked up a piece of meat and brought it to her. She smiled. After what the two had been through, she couldn't deny it now. She was a bit hungry...

Leaning forward, she wrapped her jaws around the meat, taking it gently from Arctic's maw. Her eyes met his again, and she feared she would get stuck staring into them. Looking away quickly, she tried to observe the cave a little more, while chewing slowly.

Her actions of just chewing made him shiver with delight. There was nothing like watching a femme eat...

When he thought her to be finished he turned, without a word, and headed toward his room, briefly glancing back to see if she would notice. The male just couldn't wait to have his body wrapped around hers. He longed to show her how safe she could feel when in his pack.

His bedroom towered above the main den floor. It was the perfect place to watch the events below. Arc felt comfortable here and so when he got to his bed he immediately came to rest on his side. It felt good to lay down.

His eyes, however, stayed in tune with her entrance. Alei would be the first female ever to hold his company at night. To say the least it was rather exciting. Arc only hoped that he could control himself. Her aura was so intoxicating that it just drove him crazy with desire.

Arc cocked his head up and watched for her. Once he would see her he would pat his paw on the ground next to him, a sure indication that he wanted her there... as near to him as physically possible.

Alei watched him turn and leave. She wanted to follow him immediately, but she held back, continuing to watch him as he padded across the stone floor gracefully, and dissapeared by the wall of his little cavern. Her eyes flashed from color to color as thoughts and questions left unanswered ran through her mind. She found herself being, yet again, overwhelmed with feelings. Most of them unknown, but wonderful, yet strange as well. She grinned and licked the remaining flavor from her jaws, rasping her pink tongue over her lips.

Then to stepped to her paws, slowly making her way toward his den. She allowed the top of her paws to slide across the stone, as she picked each one up, then set it down again. Her long, fluffy tail lay dragging behind her against the cave floor. Her fur was almost completely dried now, but she felt the cold slowly consume her. A shiver raced along her body, and she longed for his warmth. She wanted to curl up into his chest, and feel his fur brushing into hers as he wrapped his paws around her fragile body.

Another shiver run along her spine, but not because she was cold. The shadowed den was now in sight, and she could just barely see the lump of white fur lying across the mossy nest. Her smile grew wider, as she entered and found herself gazing into his golden eyes. She wanted to throw herself on the floor beside her, snuggling into her fur, listening to his heart beat in her ears, feeling his breath against her neck, but she stopped herself.

Arc hoped that she didn't feel too uncomfortable but he also had a feeling that she was enjoying this as much as he was. Once he saw her figure very clearly now he again patted his paw onto the moss carpet that he himself was sprawled upon. "Come... Let me warm you." His eyes sparkled, seeming as if they were two glowing beacons that guided her through the dim lit cavern that Arc called 'his' room. She need not fear because they were out of the sight of all prying eyes.

As he waited for her to follow his lead and lay down he wondered if she had ever been with another male, even in such an intimate manner in which he suggested that they gather. Their snuggling next to each other was innocent enough but Arc really longed to know if she had ever been in a relationship before. He wondered if she had ever given her heart to another. She was certainly capturing his.

Alei smiled, and stepped forward when she was invited. The sharp cold of the stone underpaw turned into a warm, soft moss, just the touch of it gave her a more warm and welcomed feeling. Taking a few more steps forward, until she was just beside the male, she layed onto her belly, then rolled to her side, pressing her back into Arctic's long, white fur. It was even more amazing than she had imagined it would feel. She allowed her head to fall onto his chest, and just has she had thought, she could hear the steady beat of his heart thumping quietly in her ears.

"Arctic?" His name came out in a soft whisper, her voice spilling into the cool night air as she waited for his answer. She wasn't sure she should be asking this question, after only knowing him for one day, but she wanted to know... She wanted to hear what he had to say, and if he answered it the way that she had wanted him to, she wanted to hear him say it. She wanted to hear those words leave his mouth, in his magnificent voice. And even though she might not believe them, if he says them, she still wanted to hear it. To know that he at least wanted to be with her. But before she asked the question, she would wait for him to ask her what it was that she wanted...
