\\Like to birds of a feather,//
XXOrfeo lead his sister to the Creek, what was it called, Lackadaisy? He wasn't sure... All he knew was only foals could come here, and were else could two young twins go, when they didn't want to be adopted. Yes, these two compeletly opposite foals where abandoned. Not on purpose, mind you. It was their grandfather who killed their father, and herded there mother home, not allowing the two young foals to come with him. Orfeo hated the stupid old stag. He had hurt his sister dearly. Lana rarely talked now. And it was all his fault. He looked at his sister, and nuzzled her. His eyes were worried. What was wrong with her? She seemed, more down then usual today. He sighed, and glanced at the heavens, 'Father? What am I too do?' He thought.[/color]
XXSadly, Orfeo didn't get an answer. He looked back at his sister, "Come on, Lana. Lets see what we can find here." He suggested, as they entered the place... Lackadaisy Creek.
XXLana nodded to her brother. and looked around, her blue eyes held none of there usual sparkle. She looked back at her brother. You would never guess the two were twins. Orfeo was deep black in color, his mane and tail also black, with the edges and tips colored either purple or green. His eyes were a mix of purple and green as well. Where as she... Her base color on her coat was white, but most of it was light brown, or rusty red, a few... pinto looking spots colored her coat, showing of the white. Her mane was a mix between white, rusty red, and brown. her tail brown and rusty red. Her eyes were bright blue. Compelete opposites, like their names.
XXLana's full name was Svetalana, which meant beautiful light, and Orfeo was short for Orpheus which meant Darkness of Night. Sure their names fit... perfectly in face. But it also showed how opposite the twins were. Lana shook her head, her tiny fluffy mane was begginning to lengthen slightly, but was still very fluffy. She, after all, was only... 7 monthes. Same as her brother. Lana looked around, and slowly walked towards a creek. She lowered her maw to the water, and sipped some slightly. She wasn't really thirsty so, she pulled away quickly after. She lay beneath a tree, and watched her brother, as he trotted around a bit, looking this way an that When he was finally satisfied that they were alone in the meadow, he trotted back to Lana. He lay down next to, resting a head over her shoulders to comfort her.
XXLana was looking so down. It worried Orfeo. he lay next to her, and put his boa over her nape, offering her comfort. He knew, though she denied it, that she was still suffering from their father's death. She had been closer to their father, Aku, then he had been. And watching their grandfather slay their father. It had hurt them both, but her more then he. It was watching his mother get herded away from them, that had stung his heart.
XXBut now it was he and Lana. Nothing could change that. He had promised, before he left his dead father's side, to watch over Lana. To make sure nothing happened to her. And no matter what, he would keep to the promise. He wouldn't dare hurt his beloved sister, never. And nor would he stand to see her hurt. As he gave her comfort, he kept an eye on the senary around them. Making sure that no foal came into the area. And if one did, he would know about it immediantly. or so he hoped.
