The two listen to the stag, Papercut slowly beginning to raise up onto her tiny flints, when Mozart speeds in and the filly flops back onto her belly and blinks. Neither of the young ones have any idea what ‘ugly satisfaction’ is nor what could possibly have gotten under the mare’s skin. It must be one of those things their mother tells them they’ll understand when they’re older, when they merely shrug their tiny shoulders and prance on about their merry way. So they’re eyes turn intently towards their mother, ignoring the other two for the time being, and beam concern towards her.
Sequin Ruins regards the colt’s foot silently before touching her muzzle to it and taking it in. She chews and swallows before resting her nose against her knees, eyes rolled forward to watch the two strangers diligently. Slowly she is beginning to feel more comfortable with her new company, though not enough with Darkness to give him any chance towards an exposed rump. The former-slave has found her freedom after a great deal of time and isn’t prepared to give it up for anything.
“Do not fear...Mozart,” she ventures quietly, lifting her head tardily and blinking sleepily. “He has not a shot at finding satisfaction in me.” And she sincerely means it, even if her voice is low, even soft and gentle towards the fellow mare. Sequin really doesn’t understand how the other fae can see the stag as such a desirable thing, why she should come running out of jealous (fearing to lose her place of admirement to herself, of all mares), or flaunt herself before him. Then again...she was never given the option of such innocent flirting...was never allowed the joys of young love or chasing after the boys. No, she has no choice of all and she fears it has crippled her heart. ~Sequin Ruins/Papercut/Knives
(OOC: I’m guessing she’s supposed to eat it, so she did. >_>)

So she misunderstood him. He blushes underneath his dark fur, glad that he is so dark. She thought that he wanted...well maybe he did but not if she didn't want to.
"Oh, I'm sorry if that is what you thought. I sent the foals out to hurry you along. Sequin Ruins didn't look like she was going to hold out much longer. I'm sorry if you got a different impression..." he lets to sentence dwindle off, not entirely comfortable with the discussion.
He watches Sequin Ruins eat the coltsfoot. He hopes that it will help. He is truly worried about her and he doesn't want her to remain hurt. She has those two beautiful foals with her and it would kill him to see them orphaned, or to see her dead. Or worse, within the herds of another stag. Not that he didn't want Mozart, he was just a bit greedy when it came to mares, not for his own pleasure but because it made him feel...loved, a feeling he had never really felt before.

Mozart mumbled something under her breath, low enough for no one to hear. She was pretty sure Darkness meant well; she always mistook things. Or didn't take them well. It was a pretty bad habit of hers. One that would probably never be broken. Sighing, she lay down by the rivers edge, tired and weary.
At some point she fell asleep. Which was a dangerous move. She felt sick, unable to move. Helpless is the word to come in mind. The soft river noise seemed like a lullaby, caressing her softly. She wondered if Sequin Ruins was alright. And if the foals were fine.
When she awoke, she looked around, confused. She took a drink of water and looked for Darkness and Sequin Ruins, wondering what happened during the time she was asleep. Her throat was sore, sorer that a badgers personality.

He watched the mare fall into a peaceful sleep and watched her snore softly. He was intrigued by how she seemed to feel so safe around him and he felt himself become...aroused. What was this feeling? He wanted the pretty mare quite a bit but he couldn't, wouldn't do such a vile thing if she wasn't interested.
The rise and fall of her chest cavity matched his breathing and he felt himself growing drowsy as well. Suddenly, she stirred and he shook himself awake, trotting closer to her.
"Do you feel better noble lady?" he asked. He wanted her to think that he was polished and not so perverted, not crude and unpolished. Not that he had actually ever had a lot of experience with mares and their feelings. The only mares he had been around had been his father's and his own sisters. He had never been interested in any of them.

When Mozart falls asleep, Sequin finds herself feeling more alert than before, eyes watching Darkness lest he seek something ignoble while the slumbering mare is unaware. Her ears flick about, resisting her own drowsy urges as she lay there, her foals already having found a nice roost between the roots of the same tree she lays beside to nap in, cuddled together. But she isn’t paying them any mind at this moment; they are fine and don’t currently hold her interest.
Whatever concern this stag has for them she doesn’t trust and she tenses as he approaches the awakening mare, ears pinning back against her skull. But what can she do? She’s powerless against a large brute like Twilight Darkness and if she tries defending another she could end up punished for it. Her anxieties for Mozart are there, but self-preservation is screaming at her to protect herself above all others. Nobody else has or will. ~Sequin Ruins/Papercut/Knives

"Please Sequin, you must listen to me. Won't you understand, I have no desire to harm you or your little foals, on the contrary, I want to help you, I want to protect you from the vile abominations that would take advantage of you. Leaving you alone could harm you and you have been injured so badly before," at this his eyes travel over that beautiful pelt, marred and marked by millions of scars, huge and small.
Then he realizes something. Now that he has met these mares he has changed so much. Now he is kind and caring he would still like these mares in his herd, well his soon to be herd. He wanted these mares but not like that, not unless they wanted him like that. He wasn't like those other stags that were only interested in one thing. And he did truly want to protect Sequin Ruins and her little bundles of energy.

She listens and her ears fold back with uncertainty, eyes viewing him from beneath a concerned brow as she feels his eyes travel over her ruined color, feeling more than a little self-conscious about them (he has to be able to decipher where the scars had come from). Slowly she extends her wearied fronts, placing her weight upon them and heaving her compact frame up into the air, standing there in a wide stance as she waits for the dizziness to pass from standing up too quickly.
Slowly Sequin turns her face shamefully away, finding her banner tucking close to her rump instinctively at a memory that manifests itself upon her brain. “It’s just...” she begins in a quiet whisper. But how can she tell him that she is still afraid without offending him. How can just explain that stag’s have professed these things before only to turn around and do the opposite, hateful things they promised not to. Neither of these equines can understand and no amount of her words can help them to.
But it seems he has left her with no choice anyway. Twilight Darkness has spoken truth about the reality. If she is not with one stallion she will be captured by another. At least here she has a choice of whether she goes or flees, whereas she will have none if she’s laid claim to. The dam’s head sags low, beaten and defeated while her fears run rampant through her body. Stiff and slow, she strides towards the brute and touches his chest with her nose before simply stationing herself there before him where he has full range to touch her when he hadn’t the chance before. ~Sequin Ruins/Papercut/Knives

As she presses her nose to his chest he leans down and nuzzles her neck. Then he breathes in her scent. He is overjoyed that he has her now, she will make a fine addition.
"And your children? Will they accept membership within my herd, now you do not have to change your alliance, you may remain light although our herd will be considered neutral. You do not have to call yourself neutral," he murmured. Then he rubs his muzzle down her side to ingrain her scent within his mind. Once done he steps back, waiting to see her reaction to his action. He hopes that she is not too frightened.
Then he lookes over at Papercut and Knives. They are young yet and he even wonders if they have met their own father. What a terrible way to live, is the only thought in his head. Then he looks back at Sequin and looks past the scars and the terribled marred pelt and sees the beautiful mare deep inside.

Mozart was enraged. She galloped away without words, only a snort of pure anger. Sequins will be hurt. His words are as hollow as a dead log. She began thinking the male equine species was just plain stupid, out to get weak ones.
So Sequins was pathetic, giving into hollow, hollow sweet talk. Hollow! It made herself feel hollow, so she stopped for breath. she could still hear them. she put her ears back in rage and reared, hitting a tree on the way, which ripped up her ankles nice and good. Big, fat wound on a vital area.
This was the best day of her life, right?
Pathetic! Giving into it, when she was so resilient and brave. Pitiful.

Sequin would never expect anyone to understand her. What does everyone expect her to do? How is she supposed to make everyone happy at the same time? Now Mozart is angry with her and she doesn’t know what she is expected to do: grovel, run away, up and die? She’s done all those things, or at least tried the very latter and it hadn’t worked out as planned. Still all she comes in contact with our miserable.
The fae sighs, sides heaving wide and then deflating. Her eyes don’t follow Mozart’s departure, but her ears do. But all she can accomplish is strict obedience to her master. “Whatever might please you, my Lord,” she whispers hoarsely. “We will do whatever our master asks of us,” and her heart plummets towards the earth and finds a place beneath its surface. Back beneath a brute’s iron rule again, once more to be subjected to his whims and desires and now the children to suffer the same.
Perhaps she is pathetic, giving in. But could it not also be called smart? She is too weak to fight on her own, hardly strong enough to eat let alone take care of two newborns. And now, on top of being a plaything and the torments of her past, mares are even starting to despise her. Is she to be cursed to be completely alone. Sequin closes her eyes to try hiding the tears welling up there but they escape from beneath her lids treacherously. ~Sequin Ruins

He shakes his head as Mozart gallops away. He sighs and wants to run after her, torn between Sequin and Mozart.
"You are free to leave at any time if you wish. Help me make laws for our lands, one day we will have a magnificent herd, that is if you want to stay," he mutters to her.
Then he turns, he looks back at Sequin. She looks so small and weak, he wishes that she was more trustworthy.
"Come with me if you wish or stay here, if any stag bothers you just call my name and I will assist you," he calls over his shoulder as he gallops toward the neutral lands. The kings there has few mares in his herd and it is time for him to be overthrown.
Time to reclaim our birthright Darkness, it is time, thinks the dark stag as he stops and changes into a fierce eagle with dark black plumage rather than the usual brown and white of a bald eagle

Mozart stopped. She wanted Darkness to come, to follow. She could still see them, wishing she was their. But if she went back, it would show her patheticness. So she stayed. She had wanted to be Twilight Darkness's Queen, the love of his life. But if he was all wound up in the pathetic fae they called Sequin Ruins, it was just a waste. might as well kill him. ((Muse low. Tikayla, you can go after her if you want, I think it would make her alot happier ))

Sequin Ruins watches him go, unable to ease the confusion blossoming fire in her chest as it seeks to seer her heart another time. She wishes with terrible desperation that she could understand the world around her in the perspective of those like Twilight Darkness and Mozart. For her ignorance she is often disliked and hated, and it seems she may have earned another enemy in the mare. It isn’t that she goes out and seeks trouble, no, she wants to avoid it and still it comes for her anyways. And there seems no hiding place for Sequin that can protect her form the impending, unavoidable dangers that she finds herself perpetually snagged in.
Her bright eyes, dulled with sadness and worry, turn to look off in the direction of Mozart. One leg moves as if to pull her in the other femme’s direction, but she halts it and stills the effort. If the situation is bad enough to evoke a struggle, Sequin knows for a certainty that she could not win over the other. So she sighs and turns her visage away in defeat, finding her gaze locked on a duo stare of her two little ones.
Knives wags his tail in a puppy-fashion before reaching up quickly to lick his dam’s muzzle affectionately, eyes beaming forth with warmth and affection. Both babes seem to sense their mother’s distress, offering what they can of themselves to make her feel better. For the first time in a long while the mother allows a small, compassionate smile to form across her velveteens, leaning her head down between the two to nuzzle both her children gently. “My...my little ones.” ~Sequin Ruins/Papercut/Knives

But before he claimed his land he had some unfinished buisness to attend to. He wheeled around, high over the head of Ruins and her children and flew swiftly in Mozart's direction. When she was within his sight he began to shift his form.
He kept his wings last, using them to slow his fall as they folded up and disappeared, just as his hooves hit the ground. He landed heavily and nearly fell face forward, but stumbled forward in time to save himself. He approached with caution, he liked this mare, quite a bit. She was fiery and not a bad looker either.
"Mozart, I extend the same invitation to you as I did to Sequin Ruins. But yours goes farther. Perhaps, when I have a kingdom, would you honor me by becoming my queen?" he asks. His heart is thumping for fear of rejection and dislike due to the amount of other mares he has "captured," but he knows that Sequin will not care and as for Aurora, she was strong and wonderful but honestly, a blind queen. No offense towards her of course. She would be a wonderful addition, just not as a queen.
