Fantasy
Was it true? Did the mountain that stood before her really hold a home to a mystical mare who can grant wishes? It was hard to rely on rumors. Especially when it was one those a friend of a friend of a friend moments. One minute she was happily conversing with a nice pair of mares and the next her curiosity lead her here.
It started off simple enough, the mention of Icy Mountain randomly came up and Fantasy willingly asked for more detail. The answer she got intrigued her so much that she was, or is, actually willing to try it out. That's how she ended up here.
The mountain before her was huge and easily towered over everything within hundreds of miles. Even the shadow it cast seemed to stretch beyond end. The climb would be treacherous, the weather cold and windy, and the elevation would be yet another thing to master. Overall, it was just a scary thing to look at, let alone climb it. But, if it would give Fantasy wings, then she was in.
Without another second-thought, the ivory colored mare started her long journey up. At first, it was pretty simple. A bit of a strain but nothing that a fit horse couldn't handle. As she got farther though, it got steeper and the rocks became more loose. Several times she slipped and scratched up her knees. The cold wasn't too much of a hassle; Fantasy loved the snow and the cold wasn't half as bad as heat.
By the time she was finally at the top, her knees were bloody and scratched and -despite the cold- a thick layer of sticky sweat clung to her aching body. With her black nostrils fared, Fantasy look her time to restore her breathing pattern and adjust to the new elevation level. Once she was somewhat back to normal, Fantasy cleared her voice and spoke loud and clearly.
"Dear Namid, I come to you for one wish. Please, let your presence be know."
