The silver silken fae loped into Symphony Falls the sounds of water far off in the distant gently flowing through smoothed rock surfaces like that of a river or stream. The sound of sweet music of life echoed through the air and it was sweet a sweet tune of life that never ended unless great evil was here and to her this wasnt it evil it was indeed light a light so full of life. Her chocolate orbs were all for the one who came in behind her they had almost made it to the border but the border was a many miles off but they were ever so close and she wished they were there already but atleast she had the one she loved at her side.
The hills were rocky making her slide and lose her footing making her rump slide against the surface but Risk was their with her encouraging her to get up and keep moving they were almost at their destination. She stopped as a slight drizzle began to fall from the sky "Great just great" she said growing aggitated. Finally they made it down the rugged terrain. She shook her drenched pelt but once they reached their destination she sighed and it was of relief.
She came foreward towards the border her eyes gazing at the beautiful land that laide beyond the borders of the Stallions scent markings. She nudged risk and sniffed the air her harks twitching slightly with interest. "Its beautiful is it not" she asked Risk. She looked over the land gusts of wind making her nostrils flare and smell the varieties of blooming flowers and of the pollinated air as the plants did their love dance of spring. She lifted her head rearing slightly a whinny of rejoicing and of freedom but of also calling to the leaders of this beautiful exotic land. Risk and her waited calmly she was very travel worn she just wanted to go roll around in a large meadow and fall asleep in the suns rays.

The trip here had been well worth it: to see the rolling meadows of long grasses and wild flowers, the burble of a river nearby, and somewhere ahead of them there is the muted roar of a waterfall birthed from the river and a steep incline. Over that incline, who knows what else there is. But he’s eager to find that out, only after they have met with the King of these lands, of course. Risk would never think of trespassing farther than where they are now. He’s pretty sure a horse that has been an inhabitant of the wild longer than him could seriously kick his rear. Besides, he’s not looking for trouble.
“It is beautiful,” he answers Rana, a little late but he had been thinking. She’ll understand, she’s a sweetheart. He chuckles as she rears and whinnies, stepping to the side to give her room. She shouts for the leader and so he keeps quiet, seeing no reason to add any distraction to her call. It won’t be long and...wow...that wasn’t long at all. He perks his ears forward and lifts his head as he hears the sounds of hooves, catching sight of an equine loping casually towards them. “There, my love,” he mentions, pointing with the tip of his nose.
Halo had been grazing, waiting for Flying Heart to return; she had been gone a long time and he has become worried about her and yet can’t find it in himself to leave lest she return and he be absent. So he had set to do some nervous munching near the border line that she would surely cross if coming home. It is a good thing too. He had been at a perfect distance to hear the mare’s call and, naturally, he came right over.
The perlino stag slowly his lope into a swift trot that quickly comes to a stop before the two equines. His one blue eye stares at Risk for a moment, a glint of suspicion before it rolls to focus on Rana, where a smile is born. He scents no threat, but he’ll remain cautious until he has made their acquaintances and figures out why they are here. “Good afternoon. I’m Jynxed Halo, King of Symphony Falls. Can I...help you with something.” He glances at Risk, but when the other stallion remains quiet he transfers his attention back to the mare. ~Risk and Jynxed Halo

Sure enough Rana was nervouse and she nuzzled Risks neck. When he spoke and pointed out the coming hooves she froze but she was relaxed. However though her tersness was ignored by the large framed stallion and his perlino coloring was very beautiful but she would have to say Risk was better in every way shape or form she loved him not this stallion before her but she could be nice in every way shape or form.
The stallion seemed somewhat nervous since risk was here but he gave her a smile which comforted her but she side stepped so she stood in front of risk protectivly though she wouldnt be able to do much against a large stallion like this. When he spoke she was even calmer but she had her own suspicions adoubly the stallion didnt like risk probably cause he was a stallion and she figured 'oh great a testosterone battle' she though silently so she simply rolled her eyes.
She spoke and it was soft and she knew she had to speak up and so she did her light tones mingling ith the lands music. Angelics rings saying "Hello My name is Rana and this is Risk we are hoping you could help us with allowing us to be apart of your herd" she said softly keeping eye contact. "That is only if you have room for the two of us" she said smiling.

What stallion King would not be nervous with a strange stag standing upon his turf, a stag whose attentions are not yet clear. He could be here to challenge for Symphony Falls, for all Halo knows. He just wants to be careful; he’s not only protecting his own interests here but also the interests of his queen and soon to be foal (whenever it comes). He needs to protect this place and keep it open for other lights who may potentially need a home. How can he take them under his wing if he is not in a position to take care of himself?
But by the looks of him, though, he is beginning to relax a little, especially after Rana begins speaking and making introductions can you see an obvious change. His tail flicks lazily behind him, a constant hint of a gentle smile upon his maw and there is a calm softness in his eyes that he can even spare towards her stag, Risk. He’s slightly amused by the way the blue roan fidgets behind the fae. Perhaps he was never a threat to begin with, looking just about a flighty has a bird.
In truth, Risk has no idea how to fight. Everyone just considered him boss back home because he was a stallion pastured with a bunch of geldings. He never picked on anyone, except in play, but they all were leery of the dominant side of most studs. It didn’t bother him though. Now that he’s in the real world, however, he is starting to doubt that he could manage to protect himself, let alone being able to protect his pretty Rana.
“Oh, we have room,” Halo begins, starting Risk from his thoughts so that he jumps. He blushes beneath his fur as the lead stallion chuckles with amusement. “I don’t mind that you join up with us. We are few right now and could use the numbers. As long as...” The perlino mustang’s eyes turn towards Risk in warning, watching him shy nervously away; still he appears unthreatening, but this has to be said. “…as long as you behave yourself.” He speaks it as if he were talking to both of them, but Risk can feel the warning burning into his flesh as if tangible fire. It had been meant to be directed towards him. “Won’t cause no trouble,” he mutters self-consciously. ~Risk/Jynxed Halo

Rana listened to Halo like she was in trouble but she listened nevertheless. He still seemed uptight and Rana smelled the lead mare the smell of pregnant pee so adoubly she was off having a baby. Maybe the stallion Halo had thought it her when she whinnied but she figured that wasnt it so she shrugged silently. She was beginning to get nervous and anticipated which was a very bad combination and she felt that Risk was feeling very fidgety and she smiled. Glad to know the stallion bothered him too. She smiled and it reached her eyes as the stallion began talking once more what was it going to be.
Acceptance thank goodness Rana thought silently and her heart soared with love and wonder. This stallion was truely great in her eyes but Risk would always be better in everyway. She nudged Risk softly in a loving manner and love and devotion was their in her dark pools of her eyes like an endless amount of dark chocolate in a whirl pool like they were never ending. Well she figured if he couldnt protect her then she would just have to protect him she was slender which made her quick and her breed was specially designed for speed and endurance to run long races over the sands of Arabia. After all she held her own against those damn horny stallions and this wasnt going to change it at all she would protect herself and him if it took everything she had to do so she loved him and nothign was going to change that.
She figured atleast they had room for the two of them. If he would had only accepted her she wouldnt have stayed she would have left right Risk and she would seek a home else where. However it was different this time the stallion accepted them as long as they cause any sort of trouble and she knew she would she wasnt the trouble causing and she didnt consider herself a problem but that didnt change anything. She smiled "Sir we shall not cause any trouble " she said a smile lighting her feature making them soften around her eyes and she couldnt help but turn to Risk and nip him softly showing she would keep Risk in line. She winked at the stallion hoping he would understand they were lovers but yea she would keep him out of trouble and out of his hair. "Sir what rank do you wish for us to recieve" she asked in question.

Jynxed Halo wants to give these two his full attention, but is having difficulty keeping his mind undistracted. His eyes keep wandering off towards the boundary of his lands, his gaze searching, always searching, for the form his returning mate. She has been gone for far too long and though he longs to run across the boundary, to hunt until he finds her, his sense of duty to his herd and members keeps him rooted. So his heart is souring with want of his lover’s return and her embrace while his mind is earth-bound, a rock of good sense.
He holds back the urge to sigh, not wanting to give the two new members the sense that he is not interested in them. On the contrary he is very concerned for their well-being on a whole and has a sense of duty and responsibility towards them now. He won’t leave them, but Halo doesn’t want to give the wrong impression either.
Risk has noted the expression on the lead’s face that the stallion is so desperately trying to hide and it causes him to have to secret away his own smile of knowing. He jumps when he receives a nip from Rana, turning his head quickly to look at her with a ‘what did I do?’ inquiring expression before understanding sets him. He noses her neck, right behind her ear, opening his maw so his enamels can graze her nape gently. The blue roan stag’s ears turn towards his new lead when he speaks, wanting to give a good first impression. He can behave and be respectful...
“I hope you can be content with a simple member status. We have little need of more authority at this time.” He grins while Risk bobs his head in understanding. Halo simply shakes his head, growing more comfortable with the presence of the new stag associate. Both Risk and Rana are friendly and will make great additions to the herd. Oh, Flying Heart will be so thrilled when she returns to find they have new additions to the ‘family’. ~Risk/Jynxed Halo

After the Rain The sun will reappear There is life
After the pain The joy will still be here There is life Rana could sense this stallion was missing something and she wanted to tell him to go on that she and Risk just wanted to relax they would be fine. She snorted softly and stepped into the terra her eyes roaming over the beautiful scenery from the waterfall she could see int he distance to the far off mountains beyound that but what was before her was nothing but fresh green grass that seemed to make her mouth water. A river that had fresh water that you could swear you could see the bottom but it really was feet on down. When Risk nuzzled behind her ear she shuddered and it was a wonderful exotic feeling and she realized she loved him more than ever not evern wanting to let him get away from her. She turned her long slender neck to meet his eyes beckoning him to her and she nickered softly to him wanting him near her at all times.
Rana wasnt much of a knowing person but she did know when something was wrong the lead was quiet and his eyes held worry. "Um sir ya know if you want to go you can we were just going to relax we have had a long travel I'm pretty sure your lead will understand" she said softly hoping he understood what she was saying. She began going foreward into the meadow the rays from the sun making her silken silver coat shine like a lost star and she lifted her head to look above at the large white clouds which held no hint of rain to them. Dust would soon be in and slowly went foreward sniffing each varieties of flowers they smelled wonderful and she enjoyed it made her happy and the rainbow that was now forming made her hear soar. There was life even if something died the old die the babies are born its all a repeating process Rana could never understand.
Rana stopped her walking and folded her legs beneath her slender frame. When she was down her harks were up and they seemed abit playful. She was in her own world until she rolled over and began rolling over and over she guessed scratching her back. When she was finished she just laid there rejoicing in the suns rays the cool air keeping the temperature just like she wanted it. The tall green grass smelled so fresh that she lifted her head to nibble on the blades chewing her cud lightly.
For it's out of the darkness That we learn to see And out of the silence That songs come to be
And all that we dream of Awaits patently There is life

Halo’s expression lights up with appreciation and he waits a moment longer before nodding in a curt gesture and then trotting off towards the border to patrol it most diligently. They can feel free to make themselves at home. But he figures they already know that and doesn’t bother to take the time to inform them. They are now welcome in his lands and to partake of any of the resources to be found here. The lead just can’t wait to tell his mate of the new arrivals. She’ll be as equally thrilled as he.
Alone once more. Risk follows after his companion. As she rolls he lowers his head to partake of some of the lush grasses, catching the scent of wildflowers as he grazes, the sweet nectar soothing and gentle. He turns his gaze to look at her through the stalks of grass. And he smiles as he creeps over to her. Resting his nose upon her hip, he slowly traces a swerving line up her side, dipping his tough towards her spine and back up. At her neck he exhales a hot stream of breath up its length, nibbling in a sensual tease.
Oh, it’s definitely dangerous behavior, but she makes it so difficult to ignore this torment. She’s a gorgeous specimen, sleek and strong, yet soft, gentle, even sort of vulnerable. And she is his, which only makes things worse because he is so sure he might be able to step over that invisible line between loving companions and lovers with ease. Risk can’t threaten the relationship that they have built so far, however, and cannot take such a plunge. He has to be strong.
He takes in a deep breath of her scent, quivering with delight at the mixture of wildflowers and her own natural perfume. He smiles and caresses her lightly, applying a lick here or there. “You smell lovely,” he states quietly, feeling obligated by some sort of adapted instinct to compliment her. ~Jynxed Halo/Risk

Where she was she felt Risks' prescence. She looked at him and let him rub his nose down her spinal column feeling his warm breath on her skin making her close her eyes it was simply sweet ectasy. She knew he wanted her in more ways than one but she just wasnt willing to give it too him quite yet and plus she still had that maidenly bashfulness. She smirked and it was soft and nickered to him softly inviting him to lay down beside her. There was line between them and it was very firm in more ways than one and it was very firm. She snorted and looked up at him adoring his roan color and his eyes which told everything and so much more about him and she spoke as he told her she was indeed lovely. "Your Handsome love" she said. The night went on and she surrendered to a deep slumber of tiredness.
The Next Day
During the morning hours Rana woke with Risk beside her his body had kept her warm and she slowly stood her joints popping and screaming as she had moved to quickly. She licked his harks and trotted over to the stream the sun had barely made it to the sky but she could see the shining rays of it slowly ascending. She let her harks twitch listening to various sounds and other things she sniffed and smelled nothing of the sort. She lowered her slender neck and her brown eyes watched nervously she felt like things were watching her and she was irritated and slightly jumpy. She drank some and heard a twig snap. She ignored it figuring it was just a lone rabbit but when her eyes connected with big yellow eyes of a predator Rana jerked her head of and the large cat jumped out at her. Rana snorted and whinnied rearing up turning quickly on her haunches trying to run stepping in a hole making her stumble and the cat let out a war cry that was like a woman screaming.

Risk had been drifting in and out of sleep for nearly an hour now, but when Rana moves and licks his ears he comes fully awake. He smiles up at her, blinking sleepy eyes before a yawn takes control of him, his mouth gaping and eyes shut tight. The stag smacks his lips and chuckles, in a fine mood. Why wouldn’t he be? He just spent the night next to the mare he loves. Nothing could be sweeter, besides the dreams that had danced upon his mind all through the night, all focused on his beautiful arab princess.
He is busy standing and stretching while Rana goes to the river’s edge to get a morning drink. He nips up a few grasses, sensing nothing out of the ordinary. The satellites perched atop his head amidst his strands of mane turn and twist about, his nose taking in scents constantly. No, there is nothing to be afraid of here in Symphony Falls. But wait...he lifts his head, nostrils flaring and eyes wide and alert, points peeking forward and in the direction of the red-hued fae. “Rana,” he calls for her, picking his pillars up into a swift trot to be by her side. Something is amiss. Perhaps she doesn’t sense it, but he needs to protect her from everything, including his imagination.
The signs he had accidently picked up, however, are not a working of a paranoid imagination. Before he can make it to his mistress’ side she cries out in terror, rearing and leaping away from a golden shape. He calls out to her again and breaks into a full-out gallop, fears dismissed and only the overwhelming need to protect the keeper of his heart. Luckily the beast had missed the smaller equine when it leapt at her and now he slips into its path, standing between the predator and Rana.
The brute lifts himself onto his powerful hinds, opening his mouth and emitted a screeching whinny as he slices through the air with metallic clad flints. He lands heavily, the ground practically shaking beneath the blow of its weight, and he stamps his hooves in warning on the ground, tossing his head towards the big cat. ’Stay away,’ the unspoken language warns, his eyes glaring and set purposefully upon the sleek figure. And for a moment his enemy hesitates, even appears as if it might turn and flee, give up before a battle ensues.
Risk takes several steps backwards, weight leaning back on his haunches with one front limb raised defensively as the puma’s awkwardness disappears. He stoops down into a crouch, should blades rolling beneath its tawny pelt as it ready for a bound, a low grow in its throat and vicious fangs flashing menacingly. And doubts start to creep into the big equine’s head that he has to fight to shake from his mind as the formidable foe bounds at him, leaping up and stretching out its claws to seek Risk’s throat.
The roan dodges to the side, spinning around in time to leap onto his hinds and crash down on the agile body, trapping it beneath his pounding hooves as he tramples over him. Passing over him, Risk kicks out with his hinds, dashing the foe away from him and into the shallows of the river. He snorts with approval as the smaller animal darts into the surrounding grasses. Lifting his head and puffing out his chest proudly, he trots towards Rana with high steps and a grin on his maw. He had protected pretty Rana and succeeded in doing so without sustaining a...
The thought is murdered in his head as he feels a powerful weight descend upon his haunches, the muscled mass clawing up onto his back and clinging with strong claws. He whinnies in pain and panic, dropping his head and bucking with all his might, each time he bounds the daggers lashing deeper into his flesh. Risk can’t suppress the shrill scream as fangs grip into the back of his neck just above his withers and with desperation he throws himself down, rolling over his tormentor. The two combatants land with a heavy thump and then a splash as they thrash into the river.
Slowly the stag climbs out of the rushing water, his stature diminished and blood pouring from the new gashes punctured into his back, rump, and neck. He pants heavily and stumbles, unable to catch his own weight and landing heavily in the tall grasses, too tired to get back up. His rasping breathing rustles the grasses in shuddering motions, his eyes glazed from weariness. “Rana,” he mutters, lifting his head with difficulty to try to find her over the tops of the meadow foliage. ~Risk

She was sure the big cat was going to get her her hoof had gotten stuck in the hole and she kept trying to jerk it out. Her nostrils flared a whinny of frustration escaping her lips. When she was feeling as if she was going to be a gonner she closed her eyes but instead of feeling pain she felt nothing. She opened one eye then the other to peer behind her it was Risk and he had saved her life and she was dreadfully greatful to him. She nickered to him and let him handle the puma as she still struggled with her hoof and finally freed it and when she turned she had heard the struggle but figured it went well as it sounded as if Risk was winning. She turned and her eyes widened slightly to see the big cat pounce and it looked very painful and the sound he mad made her bones chill to the marrow. She felt worry and compelled to go to Risk but she was determined until Risk protected his ownself.
He was bleeding severly and when he stumbled from the waters edge and Rana was shocked his skin hanging in some parts. She watched for the cat that was no longer and approached Risk cautiously. She came to him in a matter of seconds at a fast trot. She nuzzled him her harks twitching back and forth making sure that cat was indeed gone. She speak and her voice is soft and painfilled "I'm here Risk I'm here" she said. She went around him checking his wounds the only real one that bothered her was the one on her legs. She licked his wound like a dog would tasting the metallic coppery taste of blood. Her heart was beating ninety to nothing for fear of losing him. She made sure noone was near them and laid out beside him hoping waiting for him to get up. If he didnt things would happen she didnt want to happen. She nuzzled his clean neck side and watched them she would protect him now she had to or they would be separated for ever. She continued to clean his wounds the bleeding wound clotting and stopping some of the blood flow. "Risk dont leave me" she said in a choked half sob tears brimminh her eyes.

He hears her words but hears them as if his head were submerged in water, her voice sounding from far off, disrupted by the rushing sound in his ears. He continues to pant, whining quietly as her rough tongue licks at his stinging wounds, trying hard to not jerk away from her touch. She’s only trying to help and he doesn’t want to offend her. It just...hurts so bad he can’t hardly stand it, afraid he might die from the pain alone. His eyelids droop heavily, willing him off into a deep and dangerous sleep.
’Risk, don’t leave me.’ He forces his dreary eyes open, lifting his head just slightly to look behind him at Rana’s pretty face. He feels her warmth at his back, hadn’t realized until now that she had laid beside him, and he tries to smile. The tired curve forms on his maw, lips trembling weakly in the effort to put the turned line there. It fades quickly and he shifts with a groan to stretch his neck out to rest his head against her shoulder. Risk just wants her close, it makes him feel safe. He just needs some time, he tells himself. He’ll be fine; he can’t die after finally getting to face danger and save his love.
“Shoulda seen me,” he mutters groggily, a chuckle rasping dryly at his throat. “I whooped that kitty. You shoulda seen it.” There is pride in his drained vocals, a swelling of deep satisfaction. He snakes his tongue out to lick her fore affectionately as his eyes close. “Just need to rest a little, Rana. Stay here with me, okay?” he whispers, dropping into slumber, his breath shallow an feverish against her skin.
He wakes, the afternoon sun beating down on them. But, wait, it’s not supposed to be hot out, it’s only the beginning of spring. His body heat burns against the dozing Rana, his temperature on a high as his body tries to fight against some new, unknown and unseen enemy within. He lets out a breathy moan, his legs stirring out at his sides. He licks his scorched lips with a parched tongue, finally deciding it is time he try to get up on his feet.
Pulling his limbs under himself, he struggles momentarily as they shakily push him up into the air. He looks down at his slumbering Rana with a frown, but just glad he hadn’t bumped into her and woke her up. He’s caused her so much worry. So, being as quiet as he can, he slips on down to the riverside, lowering his muzzle on a stiff and throbbing neck down to the running water, sipping greedily at the liquid. Risk drinks his fill and still feels unsatisfied. ~Risk

Rana smiled and nuzzled him softly like loving mother would when her child was hurt but it wasnt her child it was her love. She had continued licking his wounds trying to heal them and make them feel better knowing it was not good he would probably be burning up by morning so she had to keep her eyes open for that. "Yes hun you sure did you kicked that cats butt" she smiled. " I promise love I wont leave your side and I will do my best to stay awake" she had said. The night had drug on so slowly for hours on end and she listened to Risks breathing open to god he wouldnt leave her during the night. Ever little frog chirp or twig snapping had her full attention and there was no telling how many time she had jumped during the night afraid that cat had come back. Rana had fought her sleep most of the night dozing in and out and finally surrendering to a light sleep which anything could have woken her.
The morning rays had not woken her what did was the heat radiating beside her it felt like a sauna her body was prespiring. She figured it was just her imagination and dozed back off. However it was still there withing hours but finally it disapated. Rana opened her eyes to check on Risk to see he was no longer at her side. She knew immediatly she had to look for him she hurried to her foot somewhat wobbly as all the blood rushed away from her brain to her feet making her light headed. She got her head back on and looked around her her body soak with her sweat and his. He must had broken into a very heavy fever and was probably dehydrated so she headed to the River. Her eyes were peeled for predators and then she saw him drinking his feel knowing he didnt need alot of water but she let him. She came over to him and ran her muzzled over his flank to his neck softly. "How you feeling" she asked so softly it was barely a whisper she didnt want to give him a headache. She lowered her own dial to the waters edge using her body to put up against his just in case he felt weak he could lean on her for support.

His head is pounding, pulse racing in his ears and drowning out the sound of Rana’s approach. He is taken completely by surprise when she nuzzles him, unable to brace himself and oppose the reaction of leaning away in a flinching manner, sharp breath drawn in through his nose and his voids closing tight to help bear the pain. He longs for her to touch, to reach out and caress her soft bodice, but every movement is an agonized one, flesh swollen, inflamed and tender, and he just wants to stand unmoving. But at least the bleeding had stopped, his wounds scabbed over with dry blood. He doesn’t want to worry her and so doesn’t mention his troubles.
“I’m better,” he lies, putting a small amount of his weight against her side, more out of affection that of want or need of her physical support. Slowly he turns his head around, resting his against wearily against her back. It’s so damn hot out! What the hell is wrong with this weather? A wave of pain explodes along his spine and he grits his teeth, rasping in several quick breaths. He feels so useless, can’t even keep a stupid kitty cat from scratching him up. “I’m sorry,” he whispers, “You shouldn’t have to babysit me.” ~Risk

She could just about taste the lie on his tongue it bothered her so much and almost made her want to nip him for lying. When she drank her fill in cool water running down her throat quenching the dryness in her throat. She felt him lean on her feeling the weight of his massive body but it didnt bother her. She shook her head lifting it letting the water droplet trickle not her chin. She nickered to him lovingly. She let him rest his head along her back she herself lowering her head to the tendrils of lush grass. She switch moved slightly and hearing his gasps of breath her head came up slightly turning to look at him pain in her eyes watching him suffer like he did. "Its ok love I dont do it because I feel sorry for you I do it out of love" she said so softly near his harks. "Risk your hurt try to move around some get some stiffness out of your body" she said softly. She moved somewhat away from him watching him lightly. She nickered to him to follow her.
She turned and stood beside him they had to walk exercise was good when you were sick or fighting something the more you got around the better you felt. "Come on Risk come take a walk with me we shall go slow" she said softly nudging him in almost a urge to move foreward. She began walking stopping so he could catch up she was trying to relieve the stiffness the more he moved the better it would feel she wanted him to be good as new. She wanted to help him after all he did save her life and she was so alone she felt so responsible for him being hurt. The pain of feeling like she was the one who caused that made her heart ache with regret but it was also another feeling a yearning for him that he saved her life out of love for her. She would stay by him and nurse him back to health.
