E.x.p.l.a.i.n.a.t.i.o.n.s.King/Queen- rulers of the herd and mates, their word is law and they can accept herd members Heir- firstborn colt and is the first in line to take over when the king dies Heiress- firstborn filly, if no heir is produced and the king dies the heiress must take a mate within the herd or give the herd over to a challenging stallion Royal Foals- other foals born to the king and queen or foals born to other mares with one parent being royal King's Advisor- a stallion or mare chosen by the king to give him advice when the queen isn't around or he needs a second opinion Queen's Advisor- a stallion or mare chosen by the queen to give her advice when the king isn't around or she needs another opinion Watcher- this is a stallion that acts like a second in command to the king, giving his orders and helping to keep charge of everyone, can only be a stallion Citizens- mares, stallions and foals that call the herd home, they can be bossed around by higher ranking horses but ultimately answer to the king R.u.l.e.s.- The King's word is law.
- The Queen can not be touched by any other stallion unless she gives consent.
- Equines may leave the herd permenently only if they speak to the king first and he approves. The king may decline the right for an equine to leave.
- Foals are born into their rank but can work their way up through mating or hard work.
- Traitors may not return to the herd unless there is a VERY good case claiming why they should return.
- The queen's power is equal to the king.
- If the queen takes a mate that is not the king, the foal produced is simply on of the royal foals and is not able to be the heir or heiress.
- The advisors for the king and queen do not have to be mates, they are merely chosen from among the citizens of the herd to advise either the king or queen.
- Citizen parents are responsible for their foals because there isn't a caretaker.
- If a mare is raped outside of the herdlands and births a foal in the herd, she may choose to give the foal to another mare but can not simply abandon the foal.
- Royal foals, heirs and heiresses can not leave the herdlands until they are one year of age unless escorted.
- If only an heiress is produced by the king and queen, the heiress has until her father's death to take a mate. If she does, she and her mate take over as the king and queen.
