Lucii[/font]
Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain Where rocking horse people Eat Marshmallow pies.... Everyone smiles as you drift pass the flowers, The girl so incredibly high...
I left Yessna in the den we had been living in for a few days. I was surprised the Alpha hadn't found us; we were well into his Light territory. Perhaps he was busy... I just wasn't sure. I found myself wandering deeper in his Terra, my eyes on the sky and my head full of dreams. I let out a howl so he'd come, so he'd maybe accept Yessna and I into his pack.
I waited, my tail over me protectively, and I was daydreaming. I was daydreaming about pack life; Yessna and I had never experienced being in a pack with... wolves. We were African Wild Dogs; still wild and rough, but.. different looking and smaller. We smelled different. We talked with heavy accents of our abandoned language we had used with mother and father.
But not just our looks or smell, but we acted different. We were dreamy and far-sighted, with clouds stuffing our mind and the air under our feet. Honestly, we acted like we were in the sky, or in a dream, or we were sleeping on a cloud. We saw marmalade skies and tangerine trees. Doubt filled my heart, the doubt I got when I felt we wouldn't survive. Alpha wouldn't accept us; we were.. weird. Probably weird to a wolves eyes, who were used to seeing other Canis lupus's. A dog from Africa would look like a wolf with oranges on their noses and their pelt made of neon colors.
Newspaper taxi's appear on the shore Waiting to take you away, Climb in the back with your head in the clouds and your gone.... Lucii in the Sky, With Diamonds Lucii in the sky, with Diamonds Lucii in the Sky, with Diamonds....

Yessna was woken from her slumber by a howl nearby. She started, her eyes widening and her fur bristling. But she relaxed as soon as she recognized the voice of her sister, Lucii. With a sigh, Yessna heaved herself to her paws and padded out of the cave. Her black, brown, and white-mottled fur shimmered in the sunlight as her brown eyes adjusted to the brightness. She quickly set about tracking her sister. It did not take long to pick up Lucii's scent trail and follow it a little ways. She trotted to her sister's side, noticing the stance that portrayed the reason for Lucii's howl. She was summoning the leader of this terra. Yessna was relaxed, ready to face this problem head on. Of course they couldn't hide out on this territory forever. She was resigned to their fate, as always. Yessna's brown eyes flickered as she examined her sister's face, and she nudged Lucii gently, a gesture of encouragement. Whatever was going to happen, the two sisters would face it together, as always. It did not matter if they had been turned from their home: a new life awaited them in Penori. If not here in this very territory, then somewhere else. Yessna was optimistic about the future, no matter what their current situation was.

Haben feels a little stiff and sore from his encounter with Ryker the other night, a slight limp slowing up his normally fleet gait as he traverses his territory on a routine check. All seems quiet and peaceful for now, at least that was the case before the howl trickled through the branches and foliage of the trees to land upon his sensitve harks. His lifts his head and turns his eyes and nose in the direction of the stranger, his nostrils twitching as he picks up the tell tale smells of the female. Duty calls and he starts off in the direction.
Damn! They're going to see this stinking limp he's got. It's times like these he wishes he could have the power to heal, to be rid of this limitation sooner than later and not have the appearance of a weakling with a injury. But he has to face the facts. He doesn't have healing powers and he has to go and meet whoever it is calling for him. So he'll have to make do with the impression he can make in his current condition. If they are at all fit for his pack they will have enough understanding to accept him and the situation that put him in this state.
"Hello," he greets simply in a yapping bark when the fae comes into view through the trees. He puts on a smile and tries to reduce the size of his limp as much as he possibly can while he is enduring the pain. "My name is Haben and you are in my land, Emerald Twilight Glade. Is there...something I can help you with?" He's not generally a real aggressive alpha, not too demanding with those who 'tresspass' unless their motives are clearly bad. ~Haben

"Yes, there is." I said. He seemed not to have noticed our odd looks, our odd voices. "My name is Lucii. This is my sister, Yessna." I was glad Yessna had come at this point. It sort of reduced my anxious feelings. I kept a steady face. "We are interested in this land. Joining it. We have had so much time to figure out the scents here. It is nice to finally come across you." I sat down, my eyes their usual airy black, I was sure. My mind filled with clouds again, and I started to drift away from this. Haben was so different looking from Yessna and I. It was a little weird to see him, a regular wolf, so comfortable in front of freaky looking wild dogs. It made me confident that Yessna and I could make it into this pack and be accepted to the fullest. (OOC: Halo, in case your wondering, this is what Yessna and Lucii look like:

Yessna could tell her sister was relaxing, settling into the situation. That was good. She fixed Haben with her intense brown gaze, sizing him up. He was injured, it seemed. Although the wolf was trying to hide it, the slight limp did not fool her sharp gaze. Yessna figured he wouldn't be chasing them off, even if he did not accept them. But the thought passed as soon as it had come up. Now she examined him simply to compare. He was larger than they, with different-colored fur and a broader build. It was the same everywhere the sisters went; they were different. Yessna knew her sister sometimes felt at odds with these differences, but Yessna also knew that she herself loved being different. She loved feeling that she had advantages, and even disadvantages over others of the same race. They were all dogs, just different blooded dogs. Yessna always thrived in these thoughts, always pended on whether or not she was faster than a wolf or stronger than a fox, a better hunter than a jackal or a fiercer scavenger than a hyena. There were many kinds of dogs in the world, yes. While Yessna knew she did not compare to many of them, she also knew that many of them did not compare to her, either. She stood before the leader wolf with her head respectfully bowed, her tail lowered and shoulders squared. But inside a fierce pride shone, and this reflected in the depths of her earthen eyes.

Haben is not accustomed to judging any canine by their appearance, no matter how different they look compared to him. And so when he meets Yessna and Lucii he doesn't see two canines unlike himself, just two females of magnificent pelt coloration. There is no breed of dog that is above any other, they're all just dogs and all have their strengths and weaknesses that they bring to the pack and if not to a pack, to the world. So when he sees these two, he simply seats himself on his strong haunches (trying to take weight off his injured leg) and smiles.
"Yessna and Lucii. Very lovely to meet you. I apologize if I kept you waiting." His ears flick and his tail wags with friendliness. "Joining? Hm, I don't see that as a problem at all if you are willing to uphold morals of the Lights, to work with the rest of the pack, and remain loyal." He dips his nose slightly and lifts it back up, not bothering to try keeping his head above theirs when he senses no threat. ~Haben

"We are very loyal," I replied, me eyes on his hurt leg. I wondered if it was infected. He seemed relaxed, although the leg was probably throbbing. I felt bad, but my head stuffed with more clouds as I thought about fluffy moss and happy pack days. Their would be fighting, of course, but I think Yessna and I would fit in well, even if we looked extremely different and talked with heavy accents. Life would be okay. Haben seemed very nice.
"Haben, shall you show us where we'll be staying?" I said, my eyes on the clouded sky. Rain was coming. Might as well get to the shelter soon, or we would be soaked and cold. And it wouldn't be good for Haben, with his injuries. I had spent time studying herbs when Yessna and I had searched for Penori."Haben, may I ask, how did you receive your injuries?"

Yessna was glad that Haben seemed to approve of them. She listened to her sister with an absent mind, her eyes on the trees. She thought of the past, the present, the future... she wondered if she would ever fulfill all the dreams she had fostered her whole life. It seemed unlikely now, but perhaps one day...? Yessna suddenly felt very lonely, even beside her sister and near this dark wolf. She longed for more of their kind. They hadn't seen any other Wild Dogs since they left their home. Yessna felt hollow as she listened to her sister. She faintly remembered Lucii studying medicine but it didn't mean her sister had any right to inquire about his leg. But of course Yessna didn't care at the moment. She just sat with her eyes on the distance, her mind somewhere far away.

OOC: Like to start off by apologizing for not replying in so long. I'm really, really sorry. My muse has been on the fritz for...forever!) BIC:
Haben turns to oblige Lucii's request to see the place where the pack would be dwelling, freezing to look at her with a blinking stare as she inquires about his leg. It's not really a big secret, and he isn't offended for her asking. He shrugs his ivory shoulders and smiles slightly. "Just a small little tussle I had with an old enemy the other night. Just a small cut and bit of a strain. I'm a quick healer, so don't worry too much about me." As it to prove it, he finishes his turn and walks forward. He tries to ignore the pain that causes his limp and it sort f helps; it also helps to put more attention one what he is doing.
The alpha takes them through the trees, deep into the forest until they reach an open meadow. In the center a small pond glows and sparkles, the flecks of light dancing up through the air and dispersing out across the canopy. Haben looks over his shoulder and grins. "Welcome to your new home. I hope it suits you. The water is clean and safe to drink from, don't mind the sparkling thing it does." ~Haben

(OOC: No worries ) BIC: I nodded my eyes fixated on the happy pool before me. It danced with radiance; It reminded me of the fire that had killed our parents. I looked away shyly, my eyes hurt and my heart aching. I smiled wanly at Haben; he was probably wondereing what was wrong. "The pool.. reminds me of the fire that killed my-our-parents."I tried to make it a light topic, byt my voice cracked considerably. I looked away, embarrassed.

OOC: I love that song, Rysa! Yessna's eyes studied the water for as long as they could. She finally looked away, blinking and wrinkling her nose a litlte. Bright things had never attracted her much, especially after the fire. She turned and looked at her sister with no emotion on her face. Shifting her dark gaze, she studied the meadow around her and wondered what sort of home this would be. Would they be happy here? She hoped so. She and Lucii had traveled far and long, and had gone through a lot in the past moons. Perhaps things were going to get better. All she had were high hopes. Nothing could get worse, but she soon pushed that thought away. Her mother always said that if you thought something couldn't get worse it usually did. At least it appeared that she and her sister had a home at last.

Haben smiles gently, able to see the hints of sorrow in the eyes of both females. "Don't worry. It is safe here." No fires here. And his ability to control water would help control them if there ever one occured. He perches upon his haunches and looks between the two. He hopes that they can be happy here, he wants all the members of his pack to be happy. He looks towards the pool quietly. ~Haben
