Fantasy
Flashes of pink, orange, yellow, and blue outlines the sky and illuminated the clouds as the sun set behind the mountains. A cool breeze ran through the open valley and shook the trees lightly. Dark shadows danced around the ground freely. A little ways away, a small creek bubbled and crept downhill. It was a beautiful evening and even the wildlife seemed to embrace it.
In the distance, hoof beats made a low drum against the solid soil. The equine making the sound was a white mare who was lazily wondering about. Her head lifted ever so slightly as she took in the physical description of the meadow. Her chocolate eyes said she was in a mellow mood and quite content. The small beads of sweat across her back indicated she was working a good portion of the day. When the sun first came up, the white mare was already on her way to another journey.
Even as a small filly, Fantasy never wanted to stay still. Constantly she wanted to move around and explore what the world had to offer. Now she was four years of age and still holding the same habit. So this morning wasn't any different. All day she had been traveling and only stopping to take a food and drink break. She wasn't looking for anything in particular, just a herd to reside in. Usually, Fantasy would stay a few days and then her restless side would get the better of her and she would take off again. But now, she was older and it sank in that she needed to settle down before all the good herds were crowded and the good stallions taken.
So now that the wondering was over, it was time to check and see if any herd lands were about. To her luck, it seemed like this meadow was some type of claiming ground. A few other mares were scattered about and were also waiting for a stallion to come around and do the job of claiming. Giving a small shrug, Fantasy decided to join these mares and wait. Who knows, maybe this herd would be the one she would decide to stay in. But since there was time, the apples hanging from the trees were just calling her name.

Jynxed Halo had been enjoying a leisure evening stroll, taking a small break from his herd duties and leaving it in the capable hands (or hooves) of his mate. Oh, he understands she had the responsibilities of their new foal as well, but Lola Blossom is there to help Heart with the youngster. The older mare has certainly been a great help and the Light Lord can barely imagine the hassle it might have been if she had not blessed the herd with her addition to their numbers.
But it’s not just about the numbers! Heaven’s no! Halo has never been a power hoarder. This brute founded his herd at Symphony Falls for the noble cause of protecting other light, in fact any, horses who might be suffering or in trouble. It has always felt like his purpose to be the hero, to take less fortunate ones under his wing. And it makes him feel good inside to be able to do such a deed.
As the thought begins to circle towards a fading point a breeze wafts the scent of a light bare to his nostrils. His ears perk forward and he turns his wide and curious eyes in her direction. Over the years he had been able to find traits of a horse’s scent that can define their alliance. Lights are often free, but not always, of the scent of blood and death which seems to cling to the pelts of darker horses. The pieces of their aura that comes along with their smell always holds something pleasant along with the other emotions that linger along with it. So he’s pretty sure this one if of his own side; no matter if she isn’t.
His strong, dark-pointed pistons lift and fall as they carry his bod in a swift three beat, head held high and yet allowing a relaxed sort of motion in his body language to suggest to the stranger that his intentions are noble. The mustang brute whinnies out towards the beautiful white vixen as he nears her, slowly as he comes within a few steps of her, bobbing his head in eager greeting. “Good evening, beautiful one. I am Jynxed Halo, Lord of Symphony Falls in the East. Might I inquire of your lovely calling?” ~Jynxed Halo

Fantasy
While she patiently waited, Fantasy almost forgot she was actually even waiting for something. With a days journey, the mare's appetite was quite large. The duration of the time spent in the meadow was eating apples off the luscious fruit trees and nibbling blades of grass. Her mind drifted elsewhere and eventually the only senses she was even aware of was taste and smell.
Several yards away Fantasy caught the scent of stallion and immediately her slender neck cocked up and her head tilted off to the side. Ears shot forward to catch any nickers or whinnies and her nostrils flared the take in the scent. After two years of countless wandering, Fantasy became pretty decent at picking out a horse's alliance and this one seemed to be light. Possibly neutral but not dark.
From his point of view, he could probably tell she was light. Even though the fading sun deepened the color of her chocolate eyes to black, they still had a friendly demeanor. Even her glowing white coat was said to give off some type of light aura. As for the stallion, he was quite handsome in the fading sun's light and his facial expressions looked kind enough.
The whinny he emitted into the evening air practically sealed the deal, so Fantasy decided to take a step forward. After he announced himself, Fantasy gave a small bow and took his nice comments to mind.
"Hello handsome stallion, I am Fantasy. It's a pleasure to meet you Jynxed Halo."[/color]

“Oh, and a pleasure to meet a damsel such as yourself also,” he retorts without missing a bit, the line of his mouth turning into a cheerful grin easily seen upon his perlino pelt even in the shadows of the night drawing over them. The stag dips his head in a courteous, gentlemanly gesture. He muses over her name, Fantasy, deciding right away that it is a very pretty name and suits her very well. But he won’t say it, such a corny line.
He paces forward, enthused to be able to reach out and touch her with his nose, taking in her scent at this range and delighting his sense of smell. Her perfume dances about his nares, flirting with them. Out of the blue the thought crosses his mind, realization dawning, that this graceful lady is all alone here. Does she know she is upon the grounds of claiming? Is she searching? Should he invite her? He’s still a little new to this whole business as King so he’s going to just jump right in and hope there aren’t no sharks to bite him.
“I hope you’ll pardon my abruptness, but I did notice you are alone. I am thinking that, if you are looking for a home, a place to stay, you might find Symphony Falls to your liking.” It sounded pretty smooth to him, not threatening in the least as it comes to his ears. Halo waits for the mare’s reaction and reply. ~Jynxed Halo

"Quite the charmer now aren't you?" she responded in a smooth, sarcastic tone. Fantasy decided that Jynxed Halo was quite the gentlemen, which was nice, since now, many stallions weren't taught a thing about manners. He was also easy to talk to and Fantasy felt like she could just be her usual sarcastic self without being offensive.
Extending her own black velvet nose, Fantasy took in the scent of the stallion and gave him a friendly nuzzle. Taking in his smell, appearance, and name, Fantasy let her mind store it to memory for future greeting. Pulling back a bit, the ivory mare listened to what he had to say. It wasn't a hard decision, she was here to find a herd and it seemed like a nice enough place.
"I would make a wonderful addition to your herd wouldn't I?" the mare openly teased, her tone playful and falsely conceited. Well, your assumptions were right. I am here to find a herd and Symphony Falls seems like the place to stay," Fantasy finished. Now, it was just the decision to stay for good or hit the road after her time is up. If the herd was anything like the meadow they currently stood in, then Symphony Falls must be a beautiful place. And, hopefully, there would be horses to converse with and places to explore. Who knows, maybe Fantasy will finally fine herself a permanent home.

Halo smiles, not offended in the least by Fantasy’s playful sarcasm, seeing it for what it truly is: a harmless gesture of words for both of their amusement. He flicks his tail as she gives a satisfying answer, though he would have been happy to leave her be if she rejected his invitation. The Lord bobs his head happily , trotting around her with uncontained excitement as he whinnies a pleasant note of contentment. He grins at her and nudges her with the affection of a friend and king.
“I believe you will love it there, Fantasy. Would you wish to come and see it?” He takes a few steps in the direction of home, his home...their home. He is eager to show it to her, to see what she thinks of it. It is a beautiful place, in his eyes, and has found no defect in it that might turn someone off (unless you dislike pretty and peaceful things). ~Jynxed Halo

Fantasy gave a soft relief sigh to herself when she noticed Jynxed Halo was not at all offended by her personality. It would have been a very hard time if he couldn't accept her sarcastic ways. Giving off a small squeal, Fantasy became excited to see this herd that was so wonderful. Taking a few steps back, Fantasy slowly paced a few feet to the apple free and plucked one down with ease. It wasn't as easy to eat it though. The darn thing kept flying out of her mouth every time she tried to take a bite so finally, she held it down with her hoof and ate it like that. Taking a glance up to the new lead stallion, Fantasy gave a small grin and pushed the mostly-eaten apple to the side.
"I think apples have something against me."
Now that her appetite was satisfied, it was probably time to accept his invitation to actually go and see the herd land. Tempted to start before him and playfully take the lead, Fantasy pranced forward before she realized one thing. She had no clue what direction the herd was even in. So instead, she tilted her head back in a innocent manner and flickered her tail.
"You coming or what?"
