Aerona traveled this far for a stupid pond of mirrored water? She wanted a partner as vindictive and nasty as herself. This seemed way to beautfiul and delicate. It would be something a Light horse would enjoy. Which disgusted her. But whatever. She curled her head down, and with a final anxious toss, she stepped toward the pool. Bloody pool. Blasted pool. She flicked her tail angrily, staring at the stupid water, with it's stupid shine and it's stupid song. Stupid!!Aerona grumbled at another wolves voice. "Who's there?" she howled, but she then realized the pool was making very odd noises. She stood there, disgusted, for a little bit, when suddenly she heard fronds twisting and smelled another wolf. ((Aerona needs someone tough and cruel, like herself, please )

He had come to Clouded Waters on a whim, really. He didn't feel some overwhelming need to possess a mate, and he couldn't think of another reason to be here. He'd already decided that he despised the place. Not somewhere for someone as twisted as himself to be.
Envy was alone in his mind tonight, and had been for the last few days. Definitely odd, but nothing he wasn't glad to have. A bit of... relative peace. Greed'd be back soon enough. That one never could stand letting Envy have control for any length of time without some sort of protest. Usually physical. Envy laughed a bit, stopping quickly. It wasn't that funny, and he didn't want the echoes. Too much.
He looked up, scenting and hearing a female at the same time. She couldn't possibly have seen him, could she have? He was downwind, breathing her scent, so she shouldn't have been able to know he was there. His eyes narrowed, and he approached the source of the question. Wait... he knew that girl... from the hunting grounds? But why would she be here?
"Anwyn?" he said, fully confused. Then... something. Just a touch of motion, or something, and he knew he was wrong. It wasn't the light wolf he had met just a little while before. But someone so very like her, obviously.

Aerona's eyes flashed angrily. "You must be as foolish as a duck, to mistake me as my sister!" she snapped, and a snarl formed deep down inside her. She was ready to pounce on the stupid foolish wolf. But wait... he knew her sister's name. And he was obviously a dark wolf...
"Howd' you know that bloody wolves name?" she tried to be kind about, but it was to sick to be like that. It wasn't herself. She was nasty, horrible, cruel... a few words to explain her at most...
She was suddenly intrigued. Maybe she had come here for this male, just maybe.... he looked like her, in personality. Maybe this was meant to be....
Blast! I sound like a blasted fairy-tale princess. How pathetic.

So much anger there, inside her... SHUT UP, Pride!
You know I'm right. Envy could do nothing but snarl, regretting the fact that it showed itself outside his mind. That one Sin... he couldn't control Pride, and it irked him more than it ought to. He couldn't destroy a part of himself, and that frustration angered him even more. It was all he could do to keep Wrath down, lest he hurt the female.
The female. He sat, curling his thick tail around his paws. Now that he had his mind back, he could focus more clearly on her. Pride snickered, and Envy's face contorted into one of absolute hate. He looked away, not wanting her to think it was directed at her.
"So... you're Anwyn's sister, hmm? Aerona, then." He vaguely remembered Anwyn talking about another wolf, and she fit the brief description given. Assumptions had gotten him far before.

"Hmph," was all Aerona could say. He was like her- in every way... She shook her head to clear her aching thoughts about him... Wait. What the hell was his name? Blast! She sat down suddenly, aware the pool was making a ghostly cast on her. She sighed, and, looking at whatever his name was, she nearly melted. Ew.
" Your name?" she managed to choke out the words. She scuffled her paws around, very upset with herself. She really like whatever his name was, even though she just met him. A growl forced into her brain, and she tucked her head angrily, swishing her tail that made a musical thump thump on the sodden ground next to the still singing pool.

He rather liked the pale glow the light reflecting off the pond cast on her undercoat. It blurred her outlines... she appeared quite pretty, really. Like a spirit.
Ah, she'd asked the question. Well, someone had to... As always, he didn't know what to say. Should he pull up the long-unused name of the body he inhabited, or let each Sin have their turn? He didn't want to do anything that would put her off. Well, this was gonna make someone mad...
"Envy," he said, plain and clearly. The rest could introduce themselves on their own time... Envy snickered silently. He could feel Pride coming up, but Lust and Greed were able to see his side and helped him suppress Pride momentarily. He'd still have some explaining to do later, though.
The black half-wolf rose to his feet, well aware that he was smaller than Aerona. Damn. Never a good thing, with females. They usually went for the large, strong types, not the small, lithe ones like himself. He was trying to remember what it was like, falling in love... Lust didn't offer much help here. He tried to draw on the body's memories of the one he had loved... What was her name? Cari. Something stirred, deep down. He pushed it back quickly.
She'd used to do that... That little tail-swishing thing. He had no idea how he knew, but he knew. He could really come to like this female, and he didn't think that Seven or the other Sins would object that much. Aerona was certainly pretty enough for Lust, and Greed wouldn't care one way or the other. Pride would be the main challenge. He smiled at her - not a malicious grin, but a genuine smile.

Aerona nearly choked with satisfaction. "Envy," she said smoothly, eyes squinting. "Awesome." she swished her tail enthusiastically. She never fel;t this way, not even with her own family, her own blood. But this was entirely different. Aerona could get used to this feeling....

Envy? Awesome? Heh. As if... I told you to SHUT UP!
Hmm... I don't think I will. Why, you...
In fact, I'll be taking over now, thank you.
His eyes snapped open and the smile vanished from his face. The body was already standing, so he made a few minor adjustments to the posture. Envy was always slinking around... he really ought to take over more often. Higher tail carriage, ears up... relax a bit. A bit of a laugh at Envy's futile attempts at seizing control again.
"Aerona..." Ah, he had forgotten how it sounded to speak out loud. His voice resonated just a bit more than the usual controller... He liked it. "You'll do finely, I think. I shall take you as my mate." Okay, so he could have been more polite, but it got the message across, didn't it? Envy's struggles grew a bit fainter. So... Envy agreed? He thought that the other Sin was still broken over that maned wolf they'd used a while back. But whatever.

Aerona's eyes widend. How brave! To simply say that must take guts. Especially when saying that to someone like herself, a wolf who could probably mean something entirely different. This made Aerona want to say yes, so bad. But their were so many wolves who could ruin that- he sister, Anwyn, for example. He had said he knew her briefly. Would Anwyn really care? Would she be jealous?
Aerona sighed. Anwyn wouldn't do anything if she was jealous. She was a Light wolf, a peace lover. Disgusting. So she could say yes safely. This would be wonderful- having a mate like herself was pretty much an evil dream. Yay. "Of course, Envy." she said, eyes falshing in the dark. "Why, I was thinking the same thing. I guess great- evil- minds think alike."

Thinking the same thing? Yes, of course she'd say that. She did, after all, have her own sense of Pride. So, in essence, she'd already accepted him, even before she voiced the words... He chuckled, a deep, gutteral bark. She was still talking to Envy, of course. Well then, best allow him to respond for himself.
---
He pulled his head down, stretching out the muscle in the back of his neck that Pride always insisted on cranking on whenever he took control. Envy couldn't stand it... That, as well as his complete lack of tactfulness. But, no matter. She had accepted. It would work... and he thought it best to just agree with Pride on this one. Otherwise, he might not be allowed to return to power next time Pride came in.
"I have no home, so being bound to me isn't likely to bring you wealth or power. But the choice is yours." No, he only said that. The choices only belonged to those who pulled the strings, and Pride had Envy bound like a marionette.

Aerona sighed. "I am a wanderer, myself." she was a wanderer. She had never even really been accepted by Ryker, the Dark Alpha. She had just always been Darkly bound. But wandering was nice. Wandering, she could do. Wealth Smealth. Power... that was different. She craved power. Well, maybe she could generate some herself. Maybe they could take over a land. That would be cool.
She slid around to him, nuzzling him softly. "What shall we do? I can say, I'm a little hungry." she sniffed the air deeply. Moose. Yum!

At the mention of food, Gluttony began vying with Lust for attention. He let them push a little, but kept them both down easily. Envy returned the nuzzle, burying his nose in his new mate's ruff, inhaling deeply. He couldn't really smell anything, other than normal female wolf scent. Some dark, but not as heavy as others he had known. Some Light, too, but he guessed that that was from her sister.
"Yes, I suppose we should fill our stomachs." He wasn't exactly hungry, but he'd certainly be willing to help bring down something big. Never any harm in having a supply, especially since there was no guarantees about where they would be staying each night. Of course, he should probably talk to the Dark Alpha about that at some point.
((OoC: Wanna just continue this in the hunting grounds? I can start a thread there tomorrow, unless you'd rather ^^))
