It was so strange to him, he felt like he always did, but knew that he was now so different. He never used to be the way he was, but he had now changed. It was for the better, he knew, and he was amazed he managed to complete his quest, but now it felt so strange. He could use ice, and this pleased him greatly. He could now leave his mark on the world, and he could not wait to get started.
He would not freeze individuals for the sake of doing so, that is not why he wanted the power. He wanted the power to protect, so that he could do some good in the world, but as he was a Neutral, he could so easily commit bad deeds as well. Sometimes he felt like doing so, but then he would have lied to the one who granted him his power. He wanted the power to change the world, so that he could freeze those who hurt others. He wanted to be known as one that protected those that were in danger, but he was worried. It was oh so easy to harm an innocent, and it was so easy to listen to others who describe their foes as evil, when they may be the evil ones himself. It hurt the stallion's head to think about this.
Zaraki sat down and wondered what he was going to do, his quest to make the world a better place was going to be much harder than he originally thought. No matter, he was sure he would find a way of at least doing a little bit of good.
The stallion lay down and watched the waves hit the beach, it was peaceful, and helped him to think. He felt like he would be there a long time, he was not sure what to do now that he had his powers.
It had always been a dream, a dream that he never thought would come true. Now that it had, he was at a loss of what to do.

The grulla fem paces along the shoreline, splashing in the surf as she walks and delighting in the cool droplets dotting her legs with each step she takes. Of all the places in Penori that she has seen so far, Charmed Shoreline is by far her most favorite spot: the sounds, the smells, the texture of the sand beneath her flints...it’s a culmination of elements that simply soothes her so completely and puts her soul at such ease. It’s not a thing that she can easily explain, but the fae just loves to be here.
Looking out towards the vast open waters, a constant rippling along the blue surface, she doesn’t notice Zaraki laying a little ways up the beach, enjoying the same scenery as herself. Her eyes are so involved with the glow of the sunlight upon the liquid body and her ears filled with the rushing sound of the waves lapping at the sandy line of the shore and the gull of the happy gulls above her head.
Lola Blossom heaves a contented sigh, pausing in her steps to close her eyes and lower her head in relaxed manner as the atmosphere is absorbed into her senses. Such a beautiful day and...for the first time she catches the scent of the other brute, her nares twitching slightly at the new discovery. Lifting her dark tiara up upon an elegant neck, she blinks blue green eyes in Zaraki’s direction. Brow raised in curiosity, her damp whipcord flicks up at her side unconsciously, her mouth a thin line just beyond a smile as she waits to see if he has noticed her as well. ~Lola Blossom

((I don't mind ^_^))
He could tell that he was being watched, he had that feeling. Turning his head, he could see the figure of another further down. From the scent he could tell it was a mare, and by the looks of her, she seemed to be quite relaxed. That was good, Zaraki did not want any trouble...not that he expected any trouble. He relaxed as well, and felt like he should say something to the mare. He had grown tired of thinking, as he was getting a headache, so he decided to take a break.
Zaraki stood, shaking the sand off of his pelt, and walked over to the mare. He did not get too close, as he did not want her to feel threatened, hell, that was the last thing that he wanted to do.
He did his best to look happy and non-threatening, though that was not always easy. He hoped he did not mess up, as he had not spoken to another since going into the Void.
Hi there, my name is Zaraki. What's your's? he asked her, and waited for the response.
If he would get a response.

The mare smiles as the stag approaches; she’d be happy to converse with any individual, being a social being herself. When his steps quit coming towards her, she finishes off the distance between them, bobbing her head in what she hopes would come off as polite in manner. “Lola Blossom,” she answers simply, her tone of voice showing no signs of worry or fear and, as if to prove her certainness, the femme reaches out to touch his neck lightly with her nose. “I am glad to see I am not the only one who enjoys the shore. It’s my favorite place,” she states, trying to make some conversation. He doesn’t seem to be the dark type and her curiosity blooms, though she holds it in check. She has not been in contact with any other equines, besides those at Symphony Falls, for quite some time, but Lola doesn’t want to seem too eager lest she make him nervous. ~Lola Blossom (Bah…stinky reply from me. )

He was surprised that she acted the way that she did, but he was not going to show it. He just assumed that gestures like that were the norm for her, and he was not going to judge. Just because he had the power of ice did not mean that he was not a warm creature inside. He returned the gesture, just to let her know that he did not mind, and gave her a warm smile.
Pleased to meet you. You have a lovely name. he said, and then thought about what she had said after introducing herself.
The shoreline is a nice and peaceful place, it helps me to think when I am muddled, which I sure am at the moment, but I won't bore you with that. he said with a small laugh.
Am I right in guessing that you come here a lot? he asked her.

Lola Blossom is a very warm mare naturally, normally a touchy type who enjoys being able to show compassion in various forms whenever she can. It’s who she is and she hopes it doesn’t offend anybody. It’s a hard thing to curb for her, but would try if she found it to be a problem (though she has never seen it as a character flaw before). Yet, Zaraki does not seem to mind her and so she feels more at ease about it.
He speaks and, as usual, she pays attention to him, ears swiveling slightly on her head as they continue to track other sounds in their area. Still, Lola tries to give him her utmost consideration, quietly thanking him as he compliments her name. “Yes, I do come here often. It’s so relaxing here...it helps to clear my head of...muddle.” She copies his word and grins.
The mare’s attention is distracted by a short scuffle between a gull and a crab. The armored warrior wins the battle with a sharp nip to the bird’s foot, the winged fighter taking back to the skies with a call of indignation. Lola chuckles quietly. ~Lola Blossom

He found it funny how she used the exact same word that he had done, and sort of cute. He was not going to say what he was thinking though, for fear of embarrassing himself. That would not be good, but then again, maybe she would just laugh at ghim? She didn't seem the type to abandon someone just because they did or said something stupid.
That's my word, cheeky. he said with a grin, to show that he was joking.
You are right though, it is a good place to think. The predators don't seem to come here much either. Say, do you have any magic? he asked, curious to know whether she shared his gift.

A soft giggle burbles up over her lips and out into the air as he jokingly lays claim to the word “muddled” that she had “stolen” from him. It makes her feel three or four years old again, young and free with a heart full of love to give and an eternity to find that right someone to give it to. Alas that one she had thought was her soul mate had slipped through her grasp and was never meant to be, she supposes. The connection they shared wasn’t as strong as she had thought and she had been left to raise their son on her own. But after that...oh...life is full of disappointments; she never did get to see her baby grow up.
Thankfully his words help to change the rolling of thoughts clawing at her mind and her smile, which had faltered just slightly, returns with full strength. Slowly she shakes her head. “I’m afraid not. I was never given much of a chance to study magic. Now...now I’m not sure I’d have much use for it. I dunno.” Lola seems to drift off into pondering before she shakes it off and tilts her head. “Do you?” It’s exciting, to start to get to know somebody. ~Lola Blossom

She had her reasons for not having magic, it would seem, and he had his own for decidng to try and gain it, and he was pleased that he was successful. His life would now change, and he would be able to change the lives of others, for better or for worse. He liked having that kind of power, it made him feel important.
He pushed these thoughts out of his mind and listened to her words. He was more than happy to tell her, after all, he had asked.
I have the power of Ice. I haven't had to use it much yet, I have not been back from the Void for very long. I do not want it for evil reasons though. he said, in the hope that she would not leave if she thought he wanted to destroy the lives of others.

Lola Blossom smiles gently, sensing a desperation to explain quickly the expulsion of evil intentions from his plans for the magic he had sought and gained. On the contrary to his worries, the doubt of his strength of character and morality had not even crossed the mare’s mind the smallest of ways. There is something good and true that she senses about this fellow and she feels the need to allay his fears so that he might put them to the side for as long as they may converse or associate.
“Don’t fret. I thought nothing bad of you and your power. I am certain your will use ice for good and you will do a fine job of it,” she assures, confidence in her tone. Her smiles widens, her blue-green gazers dazzling with light. When she looks into his eyes she can see no evil, but actually strength to resist those tendencies. It is good, very good.
Tilting one hip down, relaxing that foot lightly in the sand, she tosses her head slightly to remove her forelock from her eyes. “You traveled to the Void for your gift? I’ve heard of the beast that lives there. Tell me, what was your quest like? Difficult?” There is eagerness in her words, wanting to know more about Zaraki. In general she is interested in other creatures, but this stag fascinates her. ~Lola Blossom

She wanted to know about his quest? That was unexpected! He had been reluctant to tell others of his gift, for fear of what they might think, as Neutrals were capable of both good and bad, but he was pleased that she had trusted him, in fact, he was overjoyed. He began to think about what it was like in the Void, the darkness, the fact that he could hardly see anything, it was very different to the place in which he was now standing.
It is hard to describe the Void, it is a place of pure darkness, you can hardly see a thing. You need to listen hard in there, as it is like being blind. You can see things occasionally, but even then it is very hard to make out what you are seeing. Zaraki explained, and then thought back to his quest. It had not been too bad, the worst part was all the travelling, and the fact that he would have to go back to the Void.
The quest was ok, just had to travel a bit, and then take the items back to the Void. I hear there is another place to get magic, I overheard another equine talking about it before I came here, a place that is different to the Void. I have to say, if I knew about it before I got my power, I would have gone there instead. he said with a small laugh.
((It was great ^_^))

The fae smiles as she listens. She likes to listen, to stories and lectures, just silly conversation and the world around her. Lola has always tried to use the senses of her harks to the full, all of her senses; it’s the only way to live and be satisfied instead of simply pacing around the world like a zombie with no real connection to the earth you live upon. He laughs and her smile only grows. He has a wonderful laugh, reassuring and infectious so that she has to keep from a fit of giggles that would offend the level of maturity she has tried to reach through her years.
“It sounds like a grand adventure, though,” she muses, “If you never experienced it, you wouldn’t have a story to tell, eh?” Yes, your legacy is all about the stories you leave behind, the ones you leave upon the minds of those who hear it. She herself doesn’t have many stories. There’s no heroics in her past, no great feats or adventures. Lola has just led a quiet life and maybe that’s why she loves to hear about others’ so much, to fulfill some sort part of her. “You plan on visiting this other place later on to continue your studies?” ~Lola Blossom

He wanted to become a more advanced user of his new power, but he did not know if right now was the right time. He wanted to practice first, but he had nothing to practice on. He did not want to freeze things like the trees, as the ice would kill them, and they had done nothing to him. No, he would not harm an innocent.
I do plan to, but now does not feel right. What you say about legacies is true. he said, and went off into his thoughts. She did have a point, and in time, he could get others to know him and remember him, and always think of the deeds that he has done in the world. He wanted to be remembered after he had died, and he had to wonder if that wish would ever come true, or if it would just remain as a dream...a dream forever.

She watches him drift off into thought. Her head tilts as she sets to wondering what he might be thinking about at this particular moment. About legacies and deeds, maybe? Perhaps, so. And she smiles as she steps a little closer to nip him playfully on the shoulder. “Wake up! I nearly lost you to a thought bubble, there.” She laughs and tosses her mane so it might lay more neatly upon her neck.
“If you don’t feel right about pursuing a higher level of your power, then you shouldn’t,” she agrees. “You could end up doing more harm than good. I think you should get to know your new abilities better, to learn to control and use what you have now.” She pauses and looks away as if embarrassed for interjecting her opinion without it being solicited. “I mean...that’s just what I think.” ~Lola Blossom

He got lost in thought very often, and was grateful to his friend for snapping him out of it, as he could end up standing in the same spot, thinking about the same thing for hours. He had done that all too often, and he hated doing so, as he looked like a fool when he just stood there. It also left him open to danger, and that was a very bad thing. He would make an easy meal for a wolf if it caught him at the right moment, so he made a mental note to do all his thinking somewhere safe later, like a cave.
Thank you, I have been drifting off into my thoughts a lot lately. You are right about power, as the more power you have, the easier it is to abuse it. I never want to get to that stage, magic is a gift, and it is not to be trifled with. Magic can be dangerous and helpful, but it can also be deadly. I do not plan to kill unless I have to. he said and let out a sigh.
Zaraki felt the weight of responsiblity weigh down on his shoulders, his power was not be abused.
