The world always seemed to go mute when the sun went down. It was like someone cut the volume or some greater being simply decided it was time for a dark silence. With just the shadows and daring moonlight, it wasn't hard to think such a thing was possible. In a tangled up hollow where shadows reigned supreme, such a thought seemed to be the truth. Little moonlight dared penetrate the gloom leaving any of those venturing into the place in solemn silence. It was like walking in a death march, step after step with no true sound to break the darkly enchanting spell of the night within the frightening hollow. The wind didn't dare stir the leaves for fear of unleashing some beast of darkness but that didn't stop one creature from walking within the hollow despite the whispered rumors that the place was quite unsafe.
Large paws stirred the grass, powerful limbs carrying the ruffled raven figure into the hollow. The coloring wasn't truly black but neither was it truly grey, more of a mix with a strange bluish undertone. The only true blackness on the canine creature was his ears, both black as pitch and perked though there were no sounds to suggest the need. Startlingly emerald optics pierced the gloom as the canine made his way wearily into the hollow. His dark fur had a strangely feather-like appearance, as if the wind had blown it the wrong way but apart from that his appearance was rather uninteresting.
His stride had purpose but in reality, Jaden had no real need to be within the Entrapment Hollow. Still, in he went more for something to do then anything else. The place didn't even smell like anything dangerous. Pausing by a twisted old tree, Jay sniffed the air but found nothing which wasn't surprising. The soft whoosh of a sigh leaving his longs seemed to be the only breath of life within the hollow as Jay picked his way toward an abandoned fox den just big enough for him to rest in for the night. Pausing at the den entrance, Jay looked around but found nothing in the gloom to suggest danger. Slipping down into the old fox den, Jay situated himself so he was facing the entrance and curled his tail up near his muzzle, brilliant green eyes watching the darkness. He laid so still that within moments Jaden seemed to disappear into the shadows, the gloom creeping over his dark smoky fur like a living thing leaving just his eyes glowing dully in the spooky mute hollow.
