:.Dixie.: Day has gone but I'm still here with you my sweet rose my green hills beloved sea, lakes and sky beloved mother earthThe sun had rose to the mid summers morning the sky a pinkish tint as the golden mare approached the lake. Long had she been deprived of something to quench the thirst that was aching her body so. As she reached the top of the hill over looking the lake. Her nostrils flared to life as the very smell of water made her mouth evern drier. The black tassles blew in the direction of the wind the small tendrils whipping across her face like frail fingers of an unknown foe. As the sun completely rose to the horizon her beautiful whiskey eyes landed on the glimmering lake. Her own coat answering the call as she was like a golden beam of light on the hill. She reared slightly a neigh forcing itself from her blackened maw. Her heavy pistons struck the ground as the front ones rejoiced in once again feeling earth under them her hooves making small indentions in the ground. Over the course of her adventures she didnt trust herself to go anywhere she knew she would run into something or perhaps someone. She had a full life ahead of her and hopefully a long one and she didnt want anything to change. Though it would help if she had someone in her life she could hold and perhaps love as her own. She made her way casually down the hill to the lake and into the cool oh so cool water and she shook her massive head sending her tassles flying in different directions as her harks twitched as she listened for others or an unknown enemy. Seeing none she lowered her massive head and let her lips open as she slurped up the cool water letting the water cool the dry aching in her throat. She drank and drank and knew she had to stop she didnt need to make herself sick. She lifted her head again and took a bite out of the plant life growing in the water. She stepped out onto the banks of the lake and looked around again she felt so alone and it was eerie out here. Dixie looked around once more her nostril flaring catching the scent of blooming flowers and still the muggy scent of water. She flicked her ear rearing again calling to the wind in a challenge knowing good and well she would lose but it wouldnt hurt to challenge it. She took off in kicked up dirt and grass her muscles rippling under frame her hooves sounding in a syncronized rhythm her nostrils flaring as she took deep breaths in her chest expanding. She released a loud whinny and she was wild and free and untamed. Dear peaceful land, dear mother earth caress my soul while I close my eyes
On wings of destiny through virgin skies to far horizons I will fly -Rhapsody-Wings of Destiny

Why did this place have to be so bright? It was horrible! In this mare's mind, the only good thing about the place in which she now stood was the fact that the lake provided good, fresh water. It was too bright for the warrior, she wanted it to be dark and gloomy, full of shade and shadows, mysterious ones, where she could hide and leap out at unsuspecting creatures. That would be so much fun, but alas, she would not be able to indulge in such activities in this place. It got too crowded, and though she was an experienced warrior, she could not afford to be too outnumbered.
As she walked, the follower of Evil heard a call nearby. The Dutch Warmblood was bored, and maybe she would be able to find some entertainment in the company of another. The call would not tell her which path the stranger walked, but the Dark one was sure that she would find out.
Paine galloped off, and it did not take her too long before she had found the source of the call. A golden one, huh? Maybe this one walked the path of Light?
Just my luck, I finally want to talk to someone, and I find a weakling. Oh well, better make the most of it.
I sincerely hope that you do not walk the path of Light. Paine said in her cold tone, and stood still, waiting for a response.

The mare was totally in her own world though she had no path she was neutral took noones side. The nostrils flared as the stench of a evil one grew closer it didnt bother her in the least Dixie stood and approximatly 16 hands she was no where little in the least bit and not only that she had muscle to back up her tall frame 'stocky' is what came to mind with one look at her. Harks shot up at the sound of hooves and the muscles rippled as Dixie slid to a halt her hind quarters nearly raking the ground. She stopped and snorted loudly it was a mare Dixie was sure. Dixie plastered her harks to her crania no longer a happy camper but she would talk needless to say if this mare had anything to talk about she seemed up tight and a severe hater of the light. Dixie reared slightly her body turning to face this inferior mare though it was seen clearly she was older but in her thoughts the mare was shorter not by much but shorter. Dixie shook her head examining the dark peltage the brown eyes. During this short examination she figured the mare was lonely in her own way but her heart was as dark as her peltage well all except for the blaze of white down her forehead. Whiskey colored eye stared at her not in awe or anything sometimes you could tell the character of someone if you watched their body language and this mare was evil more evil. Dixie sighed and looked the mare over once then twice and spoke in her neutral tone noting nothing in her voice it was dead it was monotone. "I neither walk the path of light or of dark I walk my own" she said though at the word own it had slight coldness to it. Dixie tossed her head she could be just as cold as this mare and she wasnt going to take much crap off of this dark one.

She couldn't help but wonder what this mare's attitude was like, as the tone did not sound so exciting, and it did not reveal many secrets. Though then again, Paine's voice was not the most exciting one in the world, but it was full of evil, and others could usually tell what path she walked as soon as they saw her. The Warmblood was pleased about that though, it meant that she did not have to explain about what she walked. It would take up too much time and effort, time and effort that could be spent looking for a fight. However, for once, Paine was not in the mood to fight with another, she wanted to relax and just wander. She could attack some other time.
So a Neutral then? Interesting, I do not meet many of them. Independent too, it's good to be different from everyone else. I am known as Paine. What is your name? she said, figuring that it would be good to introduce herself. Paine did not think that she would see this mare again in the future, but life could be unpredictable, and fate may bring them together. The Dutch Warmblood doubted it, however, and shook her head to get rid of the thoughts as she waited for a response.

Dixie removed herself from her little attitude and twitched her harks using her tail to swat the flies from her tender legs. Her nostrils flared as she inhaled the sweet oh so sweet smell of her surrounding then she spoke the same tone as before. "Pleased to meet Paine my calling is Dixie" she said simply put showing no interest what so ever in the way she worded her sentence. They whiskey colored eyes traveled once more over this unfamiliar mare the first thing that came to mind she was battle scarred even if it didnt really show on her she could tell the mare was blood thirsty and so Dixie kept her distance not really liking to be close to anything or becoming attached after all every thing she had ever loved had been taken from her and she wasnt going to allow it again unless fate intertwined with her life. Dixie spoke again and shook her head making her tassles scrap across her tender muzzle. "Yes it seems nowadays neutrals are nearly extinct however you always have the intergrated ones" Dixie said. She turned her head simply to look at the rising sun and shifted her weight from one hind hoof to the other then her eyes were once again back on Paine they were keen like a hawks never moving simply watching the body language.

Paine did not really care whether Dixie was pleased to meet her or not, the Warmblood was not one for socialising so her social skills were not brilliant, but she would not allow that to hold her back. Life was too short to worry about stupid things such as that. Instead, she kept her eyes on the mare in front of her, wondering what was going through her mind. There was not a lot she could do though, but again, she could not be bothered to worry.
Neutrals are a rare breed indeed, can't say I have seen many Integrated ones either. I tend to remain in the company of other Darks, but felt like a change today. she said in cold tones. Paine had never sounded like a warm mare, and her tone was not going to change now, not for anyone.

"Indeed I have never met a dark but it seems they all arent that bad but looks can be decieving all in all" she said. Harks shot up as a twig behind her snapped and she knew she seemed jumpy she always thought things were out to get her but when she saw the defenseless bunny she sighed she was way to tense. She shook her long black tassles and snorted loudly clearing her air passages of debri and other things that were in the air. As she stood there she grew sleepy and she was patient as ever but you couldnt escape the fact that it was indeed very very boring. "Do you like to run, gallop canter something with a pace to it besides walking" she asked simply maybe this fae before her seemed to like to let loose every now and then and not be so d**n uptight but she could be wrong. She waited for the coming answer and spoke again "it is merely to stretch my legs I hate standing in one place for far to long."
((eep sorry so short cant think of anything really to put we need drama lol))

Paine had to agree with the Neutral there, the same place got boring after a while, so it would be a good idea to move on. Also, where they were standing, they were open targets, it would be all too easy for a prey animal to come and pick them off. She had seen the way Dixie got defensive when the rabbit had been around.
I do not mind what gait we travel in. We should move on though, we do not want to remain open targets for whatever hungry animal may be around. Paine said, eager to move on. She did not fancy being a feast for a wolf anytime soon.

Her pace would be smooth and cantered. She simply nodded "very well then shall we move on now I feel like I have eyes on me everywhere." She turned sharply her hooves tearing up the array of dirt and debri as she broke off into a sharp canter which sooon smoothed out into a paced and left lead and her hooves were like a beat one two three four one to three four etc. Her breathing was regular her muscles moving with her body in her rhythmic strides. She looked back to Paine and slowed some allowing the mare to catch up to her. Then as she caught up with Dixie she quickened her pace breaking a stride ahead of Paine allowing the older mare to pull flank and be a look out and she be a front look out for predators which were stupid enough to take on two large horses.

Paine did not mind being at the back, she could feel eyes on her, and she had a feeling that there were wolves nearby. It was not a simple concept of 'if we leave them alone then they will leave us alone', those animals would be hungry, and hunger could drive them to do something stupid, like try and take on the two mares. Paine knew how to deal with wolves, they would not be a problem if they did attack.
As she caught up with Dixie, she looked around as she moved. A pair of eyes caught her attention from the bushes, there were wolves nearby.
Wolves are near here, keep your wits about you. I have just seen one. she said as she continued to look around.

Dixie moved swiftly her wits were up but she was more interested in what was in front of her and to the sides. She shook her mane seeing the glowing oculars looking at them "lets try not to slow down anymore than we have to" she had said when she heard Paine mention wolves. Something she had found quite interesting along her travels she was always faster than them however they had nasty bites and she didnt quite like it. She moved quicker though and she seen the grey strek pull out in frong of her but she increased her speed plowing over her little speed bump hearing the sick thump and the painful teeth that grazed her right flank. "Yes I know I just ran over one oh and Paine we are in a dead end..." she said sliding to a halt wolves ranking from the alpha to the hunters in front of them. She saw them behind them to. She wasnt scared more like endomorphins had numbed her from any pain she would feel and she had a wild adrenaline burst.

A fight, well, this was going to be fun. If they were at a dead end then that meant that they were cornered, so they would have no choice but to fight their way out of there. It was either that or become the pack's next meal, and Paine was in no mood for that to happen. She had dealt with wolves before, and she stared down one who was on the flank of the pack. That would be her target, that would be the wolf that found themselves dead by her hooves.
She shot off quickly, charging at the wolf, which caught it by surprise, and as it tried to get up to bite her face, she headbutted it. Once it fell, she stomped on it's head, and turned to look for her next target. Paine wondered what Dixie's fighting style was like.

Dixie was waiting for the right possible moment her breath easing slightly her big chest blowing up with each deep breath trying to slow her heart. Her ears were plastered to her crania her eyes had a crazed gleam in them. When Paine took off Dixie waited rearing behind them a loud whinny that sounded more like a dying scream but who can help but let out a war cry of sheer joy. Dixie couldnt deny fighting was a stress reliever death was an even bigger stress reliever. She took off behind Paine taking her left but Paine was in the middle of a fight Dixie wasnt keen on fighting but the wolf who lunged at her precious cannonbone provoked her.
She reared on her hind leg coming down hearing the sickening snap of the bones in the wolfs head the coppery stench of blood covering the smell in the air and beyond that the smell of an unexpected bowel movement. Dixie didnt stop there she was becoming surrounded. She lowered her head slightly protecting her soft neck tissue and serious blood vessels. She stared down the circle of wolves making their ears lower in fright or in anger for being so difficult a meal. Then behind her she heard the lunge of a very stupid minded wolf the back of the horse could be dangerous the stupid fool. Her hind hooves and her rump left the ground quickly making contact the sound of the wolves jaw snapping with the pressure she figured he would die he couldnt eat.
She waited catching her breath but it was too soon and she could not react quick enough to the three wolves who jumped on her however they just went for her legs which was stupid in a way. Sure their hurt and sure she felt like their teeth were poisonous but she didnt stop those that had her front ankles they witnessed Dixies teeth first hand and she ripped ones ear off making him howl in pain and anger but he fled tail between in legs. The others came then at her side and Dixie did the only thing she could think of she rolled with quick grace squishing the wolves beneath her massive weight. All she heard was gurgling sound of lungs and things from the wolves lungs feeling with blood. She looked to Paine more wolves were coming Dixie had made a path for them to escape. She whinnied and broke into a lope that was slow her ankles and other parts of her body exhausted and ill used.

Paine was not going to escape just yet, oh no, she was going to get rid of the rest of the wolves. There were not too many left, and it was not her nature to run from a fight. That was a weak and pathetic action, in her opinion, and she was going to fight until all the opponents were gone. There was another wolf heading towards her, which she soon got rid of by rearing up and slamming it's head, not knowing that one had been behind her until it latched onto her flank. She had been in this situation before, and knew what to do.
I'm not going to be wolf meat yet!
She rolled over and pressed her full weight onto the wolf, suffocating it. The last couple who were there decided to run, but she did not care. Her flank was bleeding, but it was nothing too serious, and Paine knew that it would heal soon enough. She galloped off after Dixie, and it was not long before the other mare was in her sights.
Why run when you can finish them off? You can only run for so long. she said, stating one of the phrases that she had been told when she was training to be a warrior.

Dixie waited on Paine indeed Dixie was lazy real lazy but could pull her weight when she felt like it. She hadnt been running but merely making a way for them to escape when the time came since she knew Paine was a dark she knew they would be there until all the wolves were either dead or no longer in the area. Dixie breathing was back to normal no longer rasping in her chest. She snorted softly clearing her nasal passages free of dust an a bit of blood from a scratch that she recieved and didn know about it until now. She leaned her neck back and licked her puncture wounds on her leg tasting the crimsom coppery taste of her own blood. She spoke and it was same as alway after she had her breath regular "hmmm not running away merely clearing the way" she said using her muzzle to point out the array of dead wolf carcasses on the ground.
