The day was still new to him, for as of now he had no herd. So life was relatively set to his own schedule. It was nice for the brute to be able to lounge around and do what he wanted, but being a stallion, he was more interested in having a herd, and in having someone to keep his lonesome self company. He wouldn't admit it to a soul, at least not anyone he knew now, but he was lonely, most certainly lonely. so he set out for the lake, where he knew he was bound to find some companionship, be it as crazy as he was or not.
He traveled at a peculiar gait, rocking, weaving and floating his way down to the shore to look around for potential friends, or more, should the opportunity arise. He was open to nearly anything a mare could throw at him, good, bad or somewhere in between. He jauntily traveled onwards his eyes twitching between rocks, trees, and the occasional equine shadow in the trees. He grinned as he spotted a dun mare that looked interesting. He altered his path to come up to greet her. He had to run to catch up, as she had taken to her hooves again and was running like the hounds of hell were at her heels (say that three times fast!). He thought of calling out to her, but couldn't find the breath. So he settled for attempting to catch up.

She was running and running her mind nowhere near where it needed to be at hand all she was worried about was keeping her footing and not stumbling and breaking her neck. A whinny break out of her lush lips and she slowed somewhat as she heard the hooves of an unknow and it made her look up in time to see the chocolate brute and she snorted her harks coming up in piqued interest. The thumping of her hooves rhythm coming up choppy as she slowed to a canter, then a trot and gradually and slowly to a walk her muscles rippling through her pure blooded American Quarter horse body. Her nares flared as she took in deep mouth fulls of air a nicker escaping her maw and finally she came to a stop her whiskey eyes watching him warily she liked company even if she was a neutral she liked to be around other horses and enjoy the company and stories of the old and young and perhaps this one had a tale of his own. She knew he was stallion as they gave off the smell of testosterone and it excited her even more been awhile since she was in the company of stallion last time she had seen a stallion it had been for breeding purposes and had not gone entirely to well. Dixie only wanted a foal if she loved the horse she was with that stallion was not someone she could love. However what about this stallion he didnt seem as imposing perhaps he could be more fun to be a friend however she wanted to be more than friends now she had been searching for awhile for that special someone could it be she had finally found him. The wind blew slightly letting her black tassles whip across her face like dark fingers and she waited for him and called to him more.

Surcingle Bey tore past the stopped maven before he could catch himself. He turned back and came to her. As he came he muttered the tongue twister to himself (like the hounds of hell were at her heels, remember?). But then he shook himself out of it. He slowed to a stop in front of her, striking out with one hoof to paw lightly at the ground, for no particular reason other than he wanted to. Surcingle was a goofy kind of guy, prone to do odd things. Made for funny conversations sometimes, that was for sure. But of course, here was a great example of his oddly wired mind. He was supposed to be saying something to this pretty racer, and here he was getting all tangled up in his own thoughts. So he spoke to her between pants for breath, before his mind had the chance to wander off again. However, the conversation was bound to be a weird one, for this morning Surcingle Bey had decided to sing everything he said. Well, hello there pretty lady. Gee, he really sounded smart there, didn't he? Well, if you really want an answer, no he didn't, especially not chirping the cliche as he'd done. He shook his head flippantly, tossing his mane merely as a form of entertainment. The movement reverberated through his whole body, the brown pelt twitching in time with the bouncing of his black banner. But however distracted he was by his own looks, it was this girly that he was most interested in. My name is Surcingle Bey.

She was quiet as she let her eyes roam over his form. Her harks twitching her nares flaring scenting him out he smelt musky like most stallions did and she flicked her tail and lifted her head high standing her full sixteen point three hands. Her dun pelt glimmering in the sunlight like a golden beam. As he talked to her she merely watched him he was definatly amused easily with himself and as he spoke to her she smiled and winked at him. "Hello there" she said so softly and sweetly her smile lighting up her eyes. She coughed laughed at him well he was mighty entertaining and she enjoyed watching with his fascination in himself and merely shook her head. As he said his name she looked up up and down and said only two words "Im Dixie" she said in a very feminine voice you wouldnt think would come from her kissers.

I'm Dixie Ah, Dixie! A pretty name for a pretty fae! The brown stag dropped to the ground as if in a swoon and rolled about a few times, singing her name and her virtue in a high, loud voice. Dixie, Dixie, that sweet and harmonious sound that falls on my harks like bird song from the skies above! Ah, Dixie, the sound of that heavenly name could I listen to until my dying day! And when heaven breaks on my wondering eyes, I should not wonder that the angels sing her name! Dixie, Dixie! He caught her eye and straightened up immediately. The first date- well, this wasn't a date- the first meeting was not the time to show off how silly you could be. Surcingle got to his feet and shook himself, blowing sand in all directions. He gave her a crooked, apologetic smile. Sorry, I was just playing around. But Dixie really is a pretty name. And you really are a pretty fae

Sure he was wierd but hey she liked wierd he was funny also and him rambling to himself. She rolled her eyes putting on a smirk and enjoyed this. She shook her head and snorted and watched lowering her head a bit to watching him and when he caught her watching him he seemed to straigten up and she snickered "its ok and thank you Suringle your name is very handsome" she said with a small smile. He seemed to be very out there and he was like a poet on crack well maybe he just like to have alot of quoting perhaps his words were real and he felt what he said however she seemed to watch him and she came closer swishing her tail passing by him giving him a slight nip on his rump in a playful manner. She nickered and began to prance about she liked it she could have fun to she wasnt a part pooper.

Thank you, Surcingle. Your name is very handsome. There was something about that coquettish voice that did things to Bey's heart. It was the first time in his life someone had actually like his name and not commented on it's oddness. Or his oddness. Actually, Dixie seemed to like the way he rolled. Cool. Real cool. She pranced by him, not speaking more but still friendly by her actions. Surcingle smiled appreciatively at her. So Dixie, do you have any family in- YOW! It wasn't the force of her nip that made him cry out; it was the shock of it. Surcingle whirled on her and saw her dancing there, just out of his reach and nickering at him. Nickering that sounded shockingly like giggling. He smiled slyly. The lady likes to play, does she? You better run, little girl, cause I'm gonna get you for that!

She smirked so lighting giving him a slight wink daring him to try. She swished her tail in a mocking manner like you cant catch me it was so playful yet feminine. She loved it everyone liked to let loose every now and then and she knew this stally was one of those particular one and she whickered to him and began to prance away each time even as he spoke to her she smiled. "Sorry no family here" she said with a sly smile. She pranced to the side and back to the right. "Oh really is that a challenge" she asked with mock amusement as she waved her rump at him in a teasing manner and then cantered right passed him out of reach she was such a tease but least she was a playful one.

Oh really, is that a challenge? Let it be known to all humans, canines, and equines above, below, and between the earth and sky: Surcingle Bey hates races. Mainly because he isn't all that good of a runner. But here, now, with Dixie, he really didn't mind so much. She took off and he gave chase, laughing as long as he had breath and panting for it after it deserted him. As Surcingle watched her run, a song sprang unbidden into his mind: Look at her body and look at her move, now that's what I call a woman!Surcingle bared his teeth in a fierce grin. More of the song played through his head and he knew it was for him. The pipes, the pipes are calling here, I think I might be falling here for this woman! What a woman! And then, as his hooves pounded the earth and as he ate her dust, Bey knew why his throat and stomach were playing ping-pong with his heart. Surcingle Bey had a crush on the lady Dixie!

Dixie was a sprinter not a runner she had the stamina and endurance for running but she was merely cantering. She dashed off into the water her orbs watching him with a casualness of a lady in waiting. Sure her own heart was pounding in her chest he excited her and she loved it was she acting flirty of course what else would you do if you were around a nice guy who happened to be charming in a funny way. Crush or no crush she was falling for this guy and he her and she loved it and loved to play the vixen who was the flirt however this act could drastically change the way she saw horses forever and could perhaps change her life forever. She nickered to him as the water came up to her side she was standing now just waiting watching him with piqued interst would he come after her or would he merely watch her bask in the water with the sun beaming down on her glorious body.

Surcingle, for the second time that day, shot past Dixie after she stopped moving. He circled back to her... and stopped, staring. Dixie stood chest-deep in the lake, nickering at him in her pretty little femme voice. He couldn't help but stare: He was, after all, only a stallion. The water slid in droplets down her pelt and the sunlight turned them into diamonds. Surcingle Bey was absolutely captivated by the lovely sight. As if in a trance, Surcingle stepped closer to her and into the water. The slight chill of the water broke him out his reverie and he stumbled, going under the water. Due to his weight displacing the water, quite a lot of the lake imitated a fountain and leapt on high, wetting Dixie. Bey surfaced close to the mare, grinning. Sorry for the bath, pretty one. Just a little stumble on my part.

Dixie had merely gotten in the water when Bey ran right past her kicking dust all up into her face but she merely laughed. Dixie was surprised his mouth wasnt ajar or his tongue rolling out if she didnt have dark skin she would swear she was blushing in an odd sort of fashion. When he came into the water he looked like he slipped and she simply was tidled waved and she wasnt to sure about what just happened and she opened one eye then the other. Water dripped down her muscular muzzle a slight grin spreading across her sweet gentle lips. "Oh is it merely because you needed a bath as well" she snickered nipping his withers tossing her head backing up and shaking her large dial of water.

This is more of a shower than a bath, actually. Bey squinted as water droplets flew from Dixie's shaking head and smacked right into his right eye. As he blinked rapidly against the irritants that were making his eye well with tears, he felt a gentle nip at his withers. Dixie again, unless the lake had suddenly evolved a pirahna population. Do I taste good to you or what? What do I taste like anyway? I always thought I tended more toward a peanut flavor, myself. He shook his head, serving the dual purpose of clearing his eyes and getting Dixie back for showering him. Surcingle ducked beneath the surface of the lake again and for a few minutes he was not visible except for tiny bubbles of air that popped on the surface in a steady trail. This trail trolled around Dixie until they stopped behind. Puffing and blowing like a grumpus, Surcingle Bey surfaced again. He nipped the lady playfully on the flank and smacked his lips as if testing the flavor of a spring cabbage. Flavor slightly diluted by pond scum, but I would have to say there's a definite tendency toward a mint flavor. Yes, mint and cucumber with a honeysuckle garnish. Most attractive.

"Indeed it is" she said with a light smirk about the shower comment she didnt need a bath she thought she was rather clean. While she looked at him she smirked "your a lovely flavor of sgae and rosemary like an alomost piney scent" she said with a grin. She watched him curiously as he submerged his body and she smirked feeling the delicate nip to her rump which made her jump clean out of the water thinking soemthing beside her was in the water. She snorted with laughter as she shook her peltage letting the water droplets and other substances from the pond go with it. She looked at him and burst into laughter well he had a point and she could help but laugh harder he was very comedy like. She calmed herself from the happy tears and she settled for a smile. She waited for him as he settled into the pond water.
