Hahahaha, Summit might be rough, and she just discovered she was crazy, also. She had traveled to Stick 'Em up Desert because it seemed like a right place to gallop around. Hard earth, no one around, Perfect for Grand Summit. She began galloping when she first saw the arid land, and her happiness grew considerably. She loved to be away frok the stupid civilization of other horses. It was all "Queen this," and "Herd that."
But who the hell needed that? She was free, she was independent, she was happy. She didn't need to screw her life up by joining a herd and becoming a herd-zombie. She galloped away, laughing all thw while, doing crazy kung-fu moves. This is why she was here-To gallop among the crack, dry area. The click clunk of her hooves made it worth the while. It was Summit's theme song- the click of hooves, signaling she was always moving.
She was so endorsed by craziness, she hadn't felt that feeling until now. The air, so dry around her, was still, for half a second. Someone was there. Watching. Staring. "Who the frick is out there!" she screamed to the silent area.

OOC: Mind if I drop in?
BIC: Mushroom tripped along through the desert, looking for something to do. She wasn't here for any one reason. The little gray fae had always wanted to see a desert. However, now she was lost. Always optimistic, Mushroom didn't let herself think she was lost. Just a slight detour, was what she kept repeating over and over in her head so that she would not panic. She sang to herself as well, trying not to think of every horrifying tale she'd ever heard about the Stick 'Em Up Desert. But she was running out of tunes she knew and so was gratified to spot another being in this wasteland. She picked up her paws and ran to meet the equine.
Mushroom lolloped across the cracked ground, eager for new company. But when she saw the way the chestnut was running, her paws gradually slowed to a stop. She sat a score of feet from the mare, watching her run about like a maniac. Suddenly Mushroom was none to sure about meeting this equine. She wasn't prejudiced, she had just never associated much with horses and a crazy one didn't seem like a good place to start.
Who the frick is out there!
Uh-oh. Well, it was too late now. The crazy lady had seen her and knew she was there. Resignedly Mushroom approached the larger animal and looked up at her.
Hallo. My name is Mushroom. What's your name, dear?

Summit snorted, her eyes on the newcomer warily. "My name is Grand Summit." she said tersely, her eyes fixated on the small horse. She nearly guffawed with laughter when the little Mushroom had seen her acting Crazy. Like I am really crazy! She laughed silently to herself, a little bit of churring coming from her throat. She stopped abruptly. Like Mushroom could call her 'dear' "Listen, Hun." Summit said, her thick southern accent kicking in. "I aint gonna penalize you or sumthing, but ya best not call me 'dear'. Ir's a little lady-like."

Ya best not call me 'dear'. It's a little lady-like
Mushroom smiled up at her with an innocent sort of expression. Despite her uneasiness and uncertainty over the safety and sanity of her meeting with Grand Summit, there was no call to be impolite.
But you are a lady, d- Grand Summit. And so am I. So why not be lady-like.
Yeah, Mushroom was sort of a traditionalist. But hey, it was what endeared her to many others. Grand Summit, though, might be a bit different than most others.
Grand Summit. That's a bit of a mouthful. Is there a nickname I can use for you, since you don't seem to like 'dear'?

Summit grumbled agely, her eyes on the young'un. "Yer. They calls me Summit." She spat on the ground idly, her eyes wandered; she was officially bored. "What brings y'all to the Desert? A petite lady like you can't survive sum heat." Se eyes Mushroom carefully; she was definitely a fragile. She thought about crushing the kid; haha. But that would be a little bit nasty.

Mushroom gave out a light giggle. Her rounded frame, petite? Wishful thinking on her part and no doubt a heat mirage on Summit's part.
Go on with you, I haven't been petite for years. But it's kind of you to say so, Summit.
The she-wolf sat and curled her tail about her flanks. The tip just touched her back claws. Heat or no heat, she was up for a conversation with Summit. It should prove to be entertaining and it would take her mind off being lost.
I was out exploring and got a little lost, that's all. I really shouldn't be out here. In the sand. And...heat.
Mushroom shook herself, trying to rid herself of the excess warmth which clung to her skin. Having a coat of fur and hanging about in a desert did not go well together. Mushroom distracted herself again with another comment to Summit.
I take it by your accent you're from the deep south, Summit. Where exactly are you from?

Summit stamped her hooved impatiently in front of the wolf. She shouldn't be talking to the silly canine; but it was unlikely of Mushroom to attack. "Hermph. Where ta begin." She blew her long forelock of her eyes. "Well.. I was born in the south, obviously. but y'all don't know where I'll be talking about. What der it matter?"

Mushroom swayed her head to one side in a sort of shrug. Going to be difficult, was she. Mushroom had never really liked the difficult ones. But she was determined to be nice, whatever Summit acted like.
Well, it doesn't matter, not really. You don't have to say if you don't wish to. I was just trying to make conversation. But if you'd rather not talk we can both just sit here in an embarrassed silence.
The gray wolf sniffed peevishly. Unfortunately this drew the dust Summit had kicked up with her stamping into the lycan lady's nostrils and Mushroom sneezed four times in quick succession. Each sneeze scooted her fractionally backward until she had moved about a foot from her original position. She looked up and blinked apologetically at Grand Summit.
My apologies.

Summit snorted with laughter, until she was almost in hysterics. The little wolf.. scooting backwards with sneezed... hahaha!!! "That was just great y'all." She laughed until she weeped, although the situation wasn't that funny. Stopping, she stepped forward. "I'm not one to embarrass myself." she droned, although she just made a fool of herself. Several times. (OOC:Muse low )

Mushroom raised an eyebrow and regarded Grand Summit skeptically.
Not one to embarrass yourself, eh? I see, perfectly dignified at all times, never stopping, never slowing in your faithfulness to the rules of decorum and decency, one of those types, hm?
The small gray she-wolf delivered this paragraph in a complete dead-pan, sarcasm evident in her voice. Then she caught herself and her ears flushed. How rude she was being! Just because Summit was not being very kind, it did not mean that she herself had to return the favor.
I'm sorry, my dear, that was awfully rude of me to say.
