The Winter Forest is actually connected to the Black Hills, on their western side. The two places were once one territory before an eruption of Burning Peak; and while the one was destroyed, Winter Forest was preserved. The terrain is made up of gentler sloping hills and the scenery remains white as if in winter, the trees holding their foliage but have become ice sculptures, frozen in time. And when the light hits the sow and ice the air is filled with array of dazzling lights. Mares and females are the sole rulers of this terra, stallions and colts wandering in should be looking for their punishment.
