His majestic head was lowered when he finally reached Echo Summit. He had lost his Eagle Shape when he got to the base and had been forced to clambar up the mountain. A few more mountain climbing expeditions and he would be in wonderful shape.
He was here to retrieve the hair of Lady Calypso, a dark mare that he had never before met but he was sure that Joker had. He wasn't sure how to call her without seeming rude, mares could by quite picky about politeness, his own mother had been.
"Lady Caylpso of the Highlands of Darkened Forest, come to me please, I need you for a quest," he bellowed, his command echoing and rumbling about like thunder.

The dark mare made her way up the smaller mountain, pulling into a gliding trot as she neared the top. The blue-tinted equine stood as tall as her Percheron bloodlines allowed, barely even breathing heavily. She was quite used to the colder, thinner air by now, having grown accustomed to the Highlands.
Calypso snorted, wreathing her dark head in the mist of her hot breath. "I am here," she replied, every bit as commanding as the stallion that demanded her presence. "What would you have of me?"
Despite herself, she coudn't help but eye him over. Certainly not bad-looking... but his scent was strange. She couldn't quite pinpoint it, but it was far from Joker's rich scent that she loved so much. She turned her purple eyes back to his, unblinking. He wouldn't get whatever he wanted of her easily.

Twilight's Darkness "Ah, hello Lady Calypso, allow me to introduce myself, I am Twilight's Darkness. Perhaps you know my mother, Honey Flower. No matter, I have called you here to request a few hairs. Not many of course, just one or two should be sufficent. If you would be so kind as to allow me to have them," he murmured.
He watched her eyes travel over his body, he in turn examined her. She was tall, for a mare. He had never really been associated with tall mares but she carried herself with elegance and she was obviously well bred by the way she looked. Not a pure draft horse, more was in her but he couldn't place the other breeds.
She was quite pretty but she smelled of the dark, of the Dark King Joker and he bristled at the thought of the King's name. He always got the good mares, she would have been a fun one to have around. But now Darkness had little or no chance at ever obtaining her for himself. He was tempted but he would not ask her to leave a herd where she probably had a comfortable position and she was probably already a favorite of Joker's due to her dark aura and beautiful appearance. No matter, that was not why she was here, he had to obtain one of those mane hairs.

"A hair from my mane is all that is required?" She scoffed. She really wasn't in the best mood today. The fact that she had journeyed from her lands at the call of a mere stallion annoyed her, as well as it being for such a small thing. Was it really such a difficult task to find a black hair? She certainly wasn't the only one with such a dark mane.
Her ears flicked back and her violet-hued eyes narrowed. She was not going to give it up easily - she came all this way, she at least wanted something out of it. "And what's in it for me, then, Twilight's Darkness?" she asked, spitting his name out in distaste.

So she was going to be difficult was she, he desperatly needed that hair. Perhaps something of his would do the trick.
"What do you want of me Lady Calypso, I need your hair for Namid, please indulge my wishes, but if you want something..." he stopped. Not wanting to appear too desperate though it was probable that he already did. Oh well, he wasn't interested in joining her herd anyway.
He stepped back from her and watched through his navy blue eyes. She was a tricky one, a devious mare of the dark and it would not surprise him if she would kill him and get done with it. However, he had never seen a mare kill or even attack a stag before. She seemed to be the type to break tradition though.

She liked this desperation clearly displayed on his face, though it was obvious how hard he tried to mask it. She grinned wickedly. "I have nothing in mind... but, you shall owe me a favor of any sort at any time." Having a stallion at her beck and call was bound to come in handy at some point, especially one with shifting powers, as she had seen earlier. "This favor shall come with no argument on your part," she added, smirking. Yes, he would be useful to her.
She danced back, as if making ready to leave Echo Summit. "No favor, no hair," she said, being sure to stay out of reach and able to defend her mane until he accepted. If he accepted. And if not... well, he'd need to find some other mare to force his "quests" on.

He sighed, that was not what he had in mind but it would do.
"Fine, I will do as you wish, I will do what you ask of me at a later date. I will tell you this. If I do not appear but an eagle does, you shall know that it is me. My plumage is not brown but black as my coat is right now," he said unhappily.
"Thank you though, for allowing me to take a hair," he said reaching toward her to pluck a hair quickly. He hoped that he could get one she was moving quite fast.

She smiled lopsidedly, the feeling of a job well done echoing through her brain. "Smart choice, there, stallion." She stopped cold, dodging his move to pull a hair from her mane. The blue roan kicked out at him with ivory hooves, letting him know that even if she had agreed to this, he was still not her better. Calypso would decide things, at least for now.
She tucked her head into her neck, snagging one of her long, dark hairs between her front teeth. She held it out to him, smiling a bit more endearingly now. The young mare knew that she was quite the catch, and it certainly wouldn't hurt to have him even more under her control.
