Roxy was not sure how this might work, but she sighed. She would have to try. The pebble glistened beautifully at her feet, the true discovery of the stone weighing on her like a heavy rock. She remembered what it reflected. It reflects things in heart, not in appearance. She thought with a smile, but felt very uncomfortable and much heavier with the newfound knowledge. She had flashed it at a cocky sparrow and had seen only a worm, while a humble deer had shown up as a brave lion. Not everyone was pleased with their reflection, but most were grateful for the chance to see themselves. What Roxy did not know was that the humble, yet self-disapproving deer went home a little prouder, and the Sparrow went home a little nicer. She had helped them both! But the fear of showing it to someone who thought they did little, and showing them they were perfect, they may go home thinking themselves better than they are. She sighed, calling out.
"I fear lest my time should dwindle away. If Arctic Fang lies wait for me, have him come and find me here, so I might ask of him a strand of precious hair." She smiled, hoping that someone - or something - would hear. The sooner, the better, for the little Pom who eagerly awaited the power that lied so close to her.

Something seemed to whisper in the Alpha male's conical ear. It was like a whisper of the wind but along with it was a soft, tender voice that instructed him to find someone. He knew not why but he knew that the power that was not seen directed him and he followed, not at all feeling scared or stressed about it.
The journey was actually relaxing and refreshing and so Arctic wasn't at all angry about the voice summoning him. It led him and he followed until he came upon a female that seemed a little anxious about something. Arc approached her a little more cautiously as he softly spoke, careful not to startle her. "Have you called me here? I am Arctic Fang, Head Guardian and Alpha of the Celestial Terrace pack. Who might you be?" He conversed with her at a neutral level. What he really longed to know was what was going on here.

"Yes, I did. Glad to see this summit works." Roxy stomped an eager paw into the ground, smiling. "My name is Roxy, and I am currently neither a part of a pack, nor appreciated by one." She sighed, shaking her red fur with a sigh. I mean, who did want a scrap of fur like Roxy, who'd never be any bigger than she was, to lag behind in their pack? She only wished she was actually a Wolf, and not just descended from them. "Anyway, I called you in request for a hair." She smiled, quickly shoving the stone underneath her lest Arctic might catch his reflection. That was not something she wanted now, not when she was so close to getting her Morph. Maybe then she could finally be accepted.

Arctic stepped toward the female, perhaps to intimidate her or perhaps to just inspect her more carefully. He wondered what power she was seeking and so before he would give her a hair he would ask. "What power do you seek Roxy?" The male felt that he had every right to know such things before he would surrender to her what she needed so badly.

Roxy ever-so-carefully hid the stone a little farther beneath her, stepping a pace forward and puffing out ehr chest in match of the challenge. She would not be intimidated by any dog, no matter the size or the power they held. "Well, as you can see, I'm not one for size or breed. I seek a morph of Wolf." She nodded, waiting to see if Arctic could spare one measly hair.

Arctic laughed. For someone that wanted something so badly from him the female certainly was ready to challenge him, perhaps not a smart thing on her part. Little did the female know though that the male held much power over the land of Penori. Perhaps she would think twice about her actions if she only knew this.
No matter...
The female seemed to want to be a wolf rather badly. Arc couldn't blame her. It was wonderful being a wolf and he wouldn't change it for the world. The male stepped forward, of course noticing the stone that the femme seemed to want to hide so well. Perhaps it was a good luck charm. Arc snorted, seemingly pondering over the attitude of this female.
He took a deep breath and then again stepped forward again. He bowed his head and offered her to pluck a hair from the base of his neck. The male wanted to tell her that if he found that she was unbalancing the system in which he's worked so hard to keep unified he would find her and take her life. For some reason though he had a feeling that he didn't have to convey this message to her. His warning was written in his stare.

Roxy smiled and gently plucked a single hair from the strange wolf's neck. Nodding, she smiled. "Thank you." She turned, picking up the stone in her mouth and gently balancing the hair atop it, secured by a tooth. She quickly bolted from the scene, no longer wanting to be around the intimidating creature. Maybe, when she was a wolf, she could be a little braver. For now, however, caution was the best way to go.

Arc thought the female to be rather strange. He watched her as she bolted from before him. The Alpha male couldn't help but to wonder if he'd ever see the female again. He would certainly keep a weathered ear out for news of her and if she did 'anything' that he doesn't approve of she can be sure that the Head Guardian would find her and bring her to justice.
For now though he simply raised an eyebrow and then turned upon his paws and headed back to his pack where hopefully Alei would be waiting for him with open paws. He didn't even wait for Roxy to be out of sight. Arc was eager to get home.
